Epilogue

The Invisible Pranksters

After that memorable night, the friendship between Mingyu and his group of friends became stronger. It was to the point where Minah would invite them over as she absolutely adored all of them after meeting them the morning after the final prank.

Mingyu realised how time flew very fast as he sat in the classroom, listening to his teacher talking about their final examination. He thought about Wonwoo who was in his last year in high school. Soon, he would have to take his college entrance examination to get to a good local college.

With that thought, he also realised that this meant he would see the older lesser now. Although he felt a sinking feeling in his stomach at this fact, he knew he would never let go of Wonwoo. If it meant travelling long distances to see each other during weekends and holidays, and constant video through Skype each day, so be it.

As per usual, Mingyu waited at the front gate of the school for Wonwoo to arrive. Since it was a Friday, they had planned to hang out together.

While he was scrolling through his social media feed, he heard a famliar call. "Gyu!" He looked up.

Wonwoo jogged the rest of his way lightly towards the younger. "Hey, Wonwoo. How was classes?"

The both set off outside, their hands clasped tightly. "It's getting stressful, I guess. Especially with the exams coming, our teachers are pushing us to complete practice papers after practice papers."

Mingyu frowned. "Does this mean you won't be getting any rest?"

The older smiled up at him briefly. "Most probably. Everyone's booking the study room at the building down here. They're planning to study till late."

"And you?"

"I'm just going to study at home. That way, I won't be deprived of other necessities. I could eat and sleep as I like."

Mingyu breathed a quiet sigh of relief. At least Wonwoo knows to take care of himself.

"Don't be too worried if I don't get to spend as much time with you next week, okay? I'm just going to be a bit more busy. We'll hang out more after we both finish our exams." He punched the taller's arm lightly. "You should also start studying for your exams. You're going to be a senior next year."

Mingyu chuckled softly, although he still felt slightly worried despite his boyfriend's words.

They arrived at a nearby cafe where many students frequent, taking a seat at the back corner so they wouldn't be disturbed. Wonwoo offered to buy them drinks, and set off towards the counter.

With the older's absence, Mingyu thought if he was being too overdramatic. Wonwoo was just going to take his exams and go to college. It wasn't as if they had to break up, right? Besides, he did tell him not to be too worried.

Wonwoo arrived soon after, carrying a tray with two iced coffee and a plate of chocolate cake. "Thought you might want something to eat," he said.

Mingyu smiled, taking a bite of the cake and talking while chewing. "Thanks!" The older laughed.

Just as the both fell into silence, Wonwoo asked, "Do you want to talk about it?"

Mingyu looked up in confusion. "Huh?"

"Sometimes when I look at you, your face is full of concentration and worry like you're thinking about something that's bothering you. Do you want to talk about that?" Wonwoo explained his question, bringing a hand to rest on top of Mingyu's, comfortingly.

The younger blinked, swallowing the lump in his throat. "It's... dumb. You don't need to hear it--"

"Mingyu, nothing about you is dumb. And whenever there's something that's bothering you, I'm here to hear it."

Mingyu sighed and took a deep breath, staring at their hands resting on the table. "It's just that... I think I'm worried about us in the future."

Wonwoo raised an eyebrow. "Us?"

The younger glanced up once before looking back towards the table. "I'm scared that we'll drift apart once you go to college. We don't know how far you're going to be from me once you've started. But, like I said, it's dumb of me to think that way. I realised that I would do anything just to keep you mine. We could still see each other on holidays and during weekends, and still video call each other when we're free... Right?" Mingyu looked up, afraid that he was just thinking delusionally. Who was he to say that Wonwoo would actually do all those once he went to college?

Wonwoo's eyes were wide as he stared at the younger. "You... You were worried about us drifting apart? Of course we'd still see each other on weekend and on holidays, and video call each other when we're free. At the end of the day, we're both still in the same time zone. Mingyu, you really don't have to be worried about anything, okay? I can't look at someone else the way I look at you." He smiled.

Mingyu felt as if a weight had been lifted off his shoulders. "Like I said, it was dumb."

Wonwoo shook his head. "I guess I see where you're coming from. It's not dumb to be worried." He rubbed his thumb over the other's hand.

The younger smiled back, shoulders sagging. "Thank you."

"Love you too."

"So, any news from your parents?" Seungkwan asked as he finished a round of killing zombies.

Hansol took a rest from playing. "I talked to them about not leaving. They just said that it's almost impossible for them to not move around due to their job. But they said they'll think of something soon before they have to move again next year. They said something that once everything is settled with the company matters, we'd stop moving. Then again, that's most probably going to take at least another year."

Seungkwan nodded, finally ending his game. The both of them exited the arcade, taking a seat at a nearby bench. "Let's just hope for the best, then."

"I'm still worried though, that if I have to leave, I have to make new friends and leave all of you again."

Seungkwan patted his friend's shoulder. "Even if we have to move, we'll still keep in touch, you know."

Hansol shrugged, nodding.

The next day, Hansol came barreling into the classroom and towards Seungkwan, who just leaned back in surprise at the crash.

"Woah, did you have two cups of coffee this morning?" Seungkwan asked with raised eyebrows.

Hansol had a huge smile plastered across his face, his eyes sparkling in happiness that it was hard not to notice. "I can stay!"

"Wait, what?"

"My parents are letting me stay! They said I could live with my aunt when they move. It's quite a distance from there to our school, but I don't have to change schools anymore!" Hansol exclaimed in delight.

Seungkwan stood up in shock. "Are you serious? So we can still continue to be friends and hang out normally?"

"Yes!"

The both of them started jumping around in joy, which caught the attention of their other classmates who then got to know the news. They were all then cheering for him as well.

When they finally settled down, Hansol explained, "My parents said that I have an aunt who lives in Korea and stays around this area. But it'll probably take at most an hour to get to school. That's the only downside. I'll take it, though."

Seungkwan nodded, his smile never leaving. "Then will you see your parents again?"

"Of course! They said they'd come visit if they have a day off. And after they've both finished their own matters, we can finally settle down in Korea."

"That's great, Hansol! I'm just so happy for you."

The duo simply stared at each other, smiling in happiness.

Everyone was seated at their usual spot outside the convenient store. Mingyu stared at his friends, and Wonwoo, smiling at how far he had come. He had finally stopped pranking, and the matter of who was the Invisible Prankster died down as all gossips usually do.

"I guess this will be our last meet-up before we have to prepare for our exams, huh?" Seungcheol asked from next to Jeonghan.

Everyone fell silent.

"Guess so..." Soonyoung responded. "Which is why we should have fun today before we focus on our exam preparation!"

"Sleepover at Mingyu's place!" Seokmin declared, without asking Mingyu himself.

Everyone agreed, which left Mingyu no choice. Wonwoo laughed, shaking his head at his friends' silliness.

"Yeah, sure, let's all agree to something without asking the owner of the house itself, yeah?" Mingyu asked jokingly.

"You know you can't say no to us, Mingyu," Seokmin replied, nudging the other's shoulder.

Jeonghan sighed from across the table. "It felt like yesterday that all of us became one group. So many things happened right after that. Wonwoo and Mingyu got together, Mingyu turned out to be the Invisible Prankster which all of us always talked about-- not even knowing that the person we were talking about was right here." Mingyu laughed. "And then the craziest thing happened and we all were part of his last prank too. Like, how cool was that?"

"Like, extremely cool," Seokmin continued cheerily. "Me and Soonyoung had our fair share of acting like spies in a movie." He and said person turned to fist bump one another.

Minghao rolled his eyes playfully. "Of course the both of you would do that."

"Since half of us are seniors, we'll be graduating soon and going to universities. That doesn't mean that we shouldn't still contact one another, okay?" Seungcheol spoke.

"Definitely," Wonwoo responded, grabbing hold of Mingyu's hand from under the table.

"That's because he doesn't want to be separated from Mingyu," Junhui said wiggling his eyebrows and earning a punch from his friend.

"Seungcheol doesn't want to be separated from Jeonghan too!" Wonwoo countered.

Seungcheol held his hands up. "Don't bring me into your banter."

"Well I can admit I don't want to be separated from my other half," Soonyoung announced proudly, dramatically hugging Seokmin who responded just the same.

"Sure," Junhui spoke. He turned towards his Chinese friend and the both shared a smile.

"We should get going and pack our stuff for today's sleepover," Jeonghan reminded. "Let's take this as our last night of enjoyment before we get to studying."

Everyone agreed as they all got up.

"Yay, sleepover at Mingyu's!" Someone shouted in excitement as they all laughed.

Mingyu turned to Wonwoo. "Wanna hang out before they arrive? You can just use some of my stuffs anyway."

The older shrugged. "Sure, why not." They walked towards the direction of Mingyu's house. "Do you think we can watch a full movie before they come?"

"Hmm," Mingyu mumbled. He swung an arm over Wonwoo's shoulder, bringing him closer. "Or, you know, we could do something else?"

Wonwoo stared at his face that was only a few centimetres away from his and laughed. "You're unbelievable."

"Oh? You didn't say no though!"

"Whatever, Gyu." The two laughed as they continued walking.

A/N: UGH. I'm not that satisfied with this ending????? Like up till the Hansol/Seungkwan scene, I planned everything, but cuz I took a break after writing that, I totally forgot how to end this?? I should've written it down, sigh. This was the best I could do, I'm so sorry. Maybe when I suddenly think of something, I'll write it down and update. Maybe. Or maybe I can make a sequel with another plot. Maybe. Hm. But I had to post this before I totally lose interest in the plot... which is also why I didn't proofread this chapter... sorry.. :(

I'm sure by now everyone would've realised I've kinda paired everyone into some of my favourite otp pairings although I didn't make some of them canon... xD

I'd really like to thank everyone who had supported me, especially from the start. It's been a long journey. :'))) I've written 2 other Meanie fics and one still incomplete fic which you can go check it out. :D I'll most probably try and complete that, and also write more Meanie fics. I mean, with all the Meanie interactions we have suddenly I'm so motivated xD But really though... all those Meanie interactions... ;-; (and oh gosh Teen, Age era is killing me slowly)

I wanna try writing more Meanie fics. I've written down some ideas I have into my phone so I may start on one of those soon. I actually started writing an angsty fic not long ago cuz I had literally written down half of the plot but I'm not sure if I wanna continue cuz of the TW. Here are some of the Meanie fics I've written so far, I've attached the link to the titles so you could just click on them~:

- Mingyu as a prankster AU [Completed] (The Invisible Pranksters)
- Mingyu as a cursed doll who turns out to be the lost Prince and Wonwoo is a 'peasant' who treats the doll with care. May or may not have cringy badly-written in there. [Completed with extra chapters] (Love of a Doll
인형) (there's one part I wrote that Mingyu wore a blue royal suit in the story and then during Diamond Edge, Mingyu really did wear a dark blue prince-like suit I'M DEAD)
- Canon Meanie who broke up but met again in the future [Completed two-chaptered fic] (The Spark that Never Died)
- Fight club and teacher/student AU where Mingyu fights for money and becomes a student in a school where Wonwoo is a teacher who happens to fight too  [In progress] (Teach Me How to Love)

Guys I'm bad at giving a title to my stories I know.

So I'm gonna talk about other personal stuff below which I wanna let them out my chest so ignore the rest if you want.

But omg so I'm back from my internship wow I actually survived more than 4 months??? So much happened and all. In my previous A/N after I ranted about my birthday thing, some of you responded to it and I'm so thankful for it. Well, my friends did give me a small gift... 2 months later. I guess I shouldn't talk anymore so I don't sound ungrateful lmao. But yeah, thank you to those who offered words of encouragement and stuffs, I really love y'all!

Alsoooo, I wanted to tell you guys something that happened during my internship! It's about this guy and all and I kinda wanted to make it into a Meanie fic or something HAHA, it honestly felt like a drama but like I kinda lost interest in him the more I got to know him lmao. I wrote it here but decided to make it into a blog post instead. I'll put it up soon as 'only friends' so if you're interested... you can add me as friend? :3 Or maybe no one's interested to know but okay I just wanted to let that off my chest too xD.

P.S. CHOI!!! SEUNGCHEOL!!! IS!! RUINING!!! MY!!! BIAS!!! LIST!!! THIS!!!! ERA!!!

SEE YOU ALL IN MY NEXT FIC :D
