Thirst (Mir)
MBLAQ drabbleSuddenly want to write about vampire, lol. I was supposed to sleep already. I'm having on call tomorrow for god sake! *sigh*
I stole the storyline from J-Drama RHplus. You guys should really watch that drama. I'm in love with Makoto's character. And though Ageha reminded me of Mir, I'd like seeing Mir as Makoto cuz we all know I love angsty Mir. Muahahaha
His throat felt dry. It didn't matter how many gallons of water he had chugged down. The thirst was there. Still there and was killing him slowly.
He felt beads of sweat forming on his forehead and his head felt heacy, his sight getting darker. His ears couldn't pick up words around him. Not that they were important as no one would want to talk to him anyway.
He was nothing but a strange boy to his classmates. A loner. A weirdo. A freak.
A monster...
It seemed even his limbs were betraying him. His legs, his hands refused to listen to his instruction. The books in his hands dropped down the floor as his hands went limp by his sides and he was only able to drag his heavy legs just a few feet more before him too, like his books, crashed onto the floor.
His view darkened just as he saw one of the teacher running towards him...
He wasn't sure how long. How long he was asleep. Or was that he fainted? He wasn't sure. All he was certain was that, his throat was still dry. His thirst was still torturing him. He was too thirsty. He wanted to fill his thirst.
"Your name is Mir?"
Mir slowly turned his head at the voice. It was a lady. The school nurse. In her hand was Mir's student card.
"How are you feeling?"
Mir gulped loudly, feeling how his own throat practically felt like sand paper. Rough and raw. And then, above all the other noises which had somehow quieted down, one sound was echoing clearly, loudly in his hearing.
Dup! Dup! Dup!
Sound of heartbeat. Sound of heart pumping blood throughout the whole body. It wasn't his heartbeat. Because his heart was frozen. There was no beat in his heart.
It was the nurse's heart. And Mir could literally smell and hear and saw the red blood rushing through the veins under the smooth skin of the school nurse.
"You look so pale but the teacher who brought you here said it's your normal complexion. Just to be safe, I want to do some test-"
"I'm thirsty." Mir croaked out, voice deeper and rougher than usual, not that he talk much, being alone, having no one by his side to talk to.
"Oh? Okay sure." The nurse went to the table by the end of the bed, taking a small bottle of mineral water, uncapping it and approached Mir. She unsuspectingly held out the bottle to Mir.
Instead of the bottle, Mir's eyes went towards the dark blue veins visible on the nurse's fair skin. Blood. Delicious blood. Thirsty... So thirsty...
Mir hadn't realized what he had done until a high pitch shrieked stabbed his ears and wetness as the bottle of water fall down on his laps, spilling the content on his school uniform, then, and only then he realized he had sunk his fangs into the nurse's wrist, drawing blood from the veins under and them greedily.
No! No one could know this! No one can interrupt!
Jumping from the bed after withdrawing his fang from the nurse's wrist, Mir threw the nurse on the bed. Just in split second, now his fangs were buried into the nurse's neck.
The shock must had gotten to the nurse as the lady stopped screaming, now only gasping and gurgling, eyes widened in horror and pain, unable to do anything against Mir's extraordinary strength.
More... More... Thirsty... I need more...
"Monster..."
At that small strained voice, Mir's sanity came came back, slapping him on the face with unexpected violence. The young teenager retreated from the catatonic figure of the nurse lying on the bed, stumbling back with horrified look on his face.
What have I done? What-
Mir's breath hitched when he felt warm sticky liquid ran down the corner of his mouth and his eyes caught his own reflection on the tinted window. Blood were smearing his lips and chin. Human blood.
"N-no... No... I-I didn't mean-"
There was nothing he could do. He was just as terrified as the nurse on the bed. And when his eyes scanned over now unconscious lady on the bed, Mir felt sick to his stomach.
Monster... I'm a monster...
Yet, he was still thirsty....
