Irene was grounded for the time being. She wasn’t allowed to go outside unless it’s with the members or the managers. If she wanted to go practicing, one of the managers would stay with her at the practice room so she chose not to go alone. She couldn’t meet Sunggyu anymore, she could only exchange text with him.

It was Thursday morning when Irene and Jinwook went to SM Building after breakfast. They were going to meet Park Bogum, Irene’s MC mate. They arrived at 8:30 and went straight to the practice room. Park Bogum was already there with his manager and the choreographer. Bogum was such a cutie. He had dimples on both cheeks. He was also so tall and had a nice body. His eyes were sparkling, totally a noona killer type.

He bowed at Irene and Jinwook politely, “Good morning,” he greeted. His voice was deep, reminded Irene of Taehyung’s voice.

“My name is Park Bogum. Nice to meet you,” he offered handshake to Irene.

“I am Irene of Red Velvet,” she said shyly.

“Should we start now? We’re going to open the show with this song,” Bogum handed a music sheet to Irene. The song title’s One and Half.

They practiced it right away. Irene was so quick adjusting with Bogum because Bogum was such an easy going person. He was so kind and also very polite. They were already so close. The chemistry between them was no joke. Apparently, Bogum was two years younger than Irene so Irene treated her like a younger brother.

They’re done practicing at lunch time. “We’ll meet again tomorrow?” Bogum asked as he packed his stuff

“Sure.” Irene smiled.

“See you tomorrow, noona!” Bogum waved his hands as he walked outside.

Irene took a deep breath. She was sitting on the floor while collecting her breath. Jinwook came from the cafeteria with two boxes of meals on his hand.

“Eat this,” he said, handing one of the boxes to Irene but Irene looked away.

“I am not hungry,” she said nonchalantly.

“Till when are you going to treat me like this, Joohyun ah? It’s not me who gave you the punishment.” Jinwook said, sitting beside Joohyun.

“Still…you didn’t even stand for me. You know I didn’t mean to…”

Jinwook sighed, “Yeah right. But it won’t change the fact that you went out with Sunggyu without even telling me. Don’t say that you guys are friends. As if women and men can be friend,” he snapped.

Irene looked down, “But he’s my friend, really…there’s nothing more than that. Why don’t you believe me?”

“Let’s just end it here.” Jinwook gave up and started eating his food.

“I am sorry…” Irene said after a while.

“No that’s okay. I feel you.” Jinwook smiled faintly. “You debuted late. It’s not that you’re still illegal and you have the rights to date whoever you want. You are on the age where you should date. But as a manager I sh
