I walked towards English class and tried not to attract too much attention while I did.


Four people greeted me as I walked.


When I arrived at class I scrambled into the classroom and took a seat in Eunmi's desk.   


I from where I was sitting I stared at my seat. Park Minhee's seat. Empty, and it will be empty for the next few months.


I hope the teachers understand why I am absent. Eunmi made me lie to them and say that I had to go to America to take care of my sick Aunt...


I sighed, propping my chin up on my palm and waited for the teacher to arrive.


A few minutes passed before students started pouring into the room and took their seats. All the seats were filled, exept mine.


I hope this really works, Eunmi.


The teacher was the last one to arrive. Class officially began. Mrs. Song, the teacher, started to take attendance.


"Mun DaeHo" She called.


"Yes."


"Park Eunmi." She said.


"Yes..." I replied.


Mrs. Song stared at me suspiciously for a moment then went back to roll call.


"Park Minhee."


No responce. I felt my heart beat a little faster...


Mrs. Song looked at my empty seat, then back at the attenance sheet.


...Huh... That scared me a little.


Then, from behind, I heard someone whisper. "Hey, that geek decided not to show up for once. Maybe that dork finally realized that shes too ugly for school!"
