That's a pretty simple equation, but would Eunmi know it...?

“I’m sorry, I don’t know.” I bowed my head as I fidgeted under her watchful stare. She tilted her head and inspected me, before calling on another student to answer the question.


I sighed in relief, and plopped into my chair. No one watched me suspiciously; I guess Eunmi wasn’t the type of nerdy person like me, huh. Well, it was expected- we’re polar opposites, anyways.


Oh well. Class resumed as planned, and I silently cheered when the bell rang.


“Eunmi, please stay for a few minutes,” The teacher called out, stacking her books.


Oh no... what did I do?

I walked up to her desk, praying that I hadn’t messed up Eunmi’s image.


“Eunmi, you’ve been struggling in math recently,” She peered at me through her glasses. “I suggest you get a tutor- perhaps a student tutor.”

“But, I… I can just ask my sister to help me?” I tried to say my words confidently like Eunmi did.

“No, Miss Hakseng. Your sister is quite smart, as I know, but I’m sure she’s under much stress from studying. I recommend Onew- he’s from your math class, I believe,” She nodded at me.

Onew? She wants Onew to tutor me?


The guy that had a billion won smile?
