Aaron woke up abruptly as the glass of water hits the ground.

Aaron: *rubs his eyes* Gui Gui?

Gui Gui’s solemn and disappointed expression makes Aaron puzzled. Within seconds, he realizes the cause of it. His hands were interlocked with Rainie, who is soundly asleep, on his shoulder.

Aaron: What?! I….

Without a word, Gui Gui turns and dashes out of the office.

Aaron: Gui Gui!

Aaron frees himself from Rainie in order to chase after Gui Gui. However, Rainie opens her eyes and held on to Aaron tightly.

Rainie: Aaron…I’m not feeling so well….can you stay here?

Without hesitating, Aaron spoke hurriedly: Sorry Rainie, George will be back soon. Stay here and don’t move and you will be all right.

With that, Aaron let go of her hand and rushed out of the office after Gui Gui.

Rainie frowns and stares at the door with jealousy.

Rainie POV: Next time…I’m gonna let her be the one who is alone!

Aaron: Gui Gui! *calls out frantically* Gui Gui!

‘Ah!’ someone called out in surprise.

Aaron could recognise this familiar voice. It’s Gui Gui.
He turned the corner and saw his girlfriend, who had just sprained her ankle.

Aaron knelt down beside her: Gui Gui…

Gui Gui: *tears well up her eyes* Don’t….don’t look at me….

Aaron: Why? I’m sorry…It’s all my fault, I didn’t expect it to turn out like that…One moment I was resting on the sofa and the next….I had no idea….please don’t be mad at me…

Gui Gui: No…I wasn’t mad at you…I’m mad at myself….I am….too easily….jealous…I know you must have thought I’m childish and immature….I knocked her down and now I’m……

Aaron looks at her in bewilderment. How could he possibly be so lucky to have such an innocent and kind girlfriend? He felt his love for her deepens as she speaks…

Without warning, Aaron pulls Gui Gui into his embrace and hugs her tightly.

Aaron: I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m sorry. It’s my entire fault! Don’t you ever be mad at yourself again! If you wanna get mad, be mad at me. Be mad at me for my stupidity and foolishness.

Gui Gui: Aaron…

Aaron: Don’t always put others before yourself. You deserve to be loved…as well.

Gui Gui smiles in contentment.

Gui Gui POV: I am so lucky…to have you….

At the Mortuary

‘Miss Rainie, I just saw the two of them hugging on the street. They seems to have patched…’ Rainie’s assistant reported.

‘Shut up! I don’t want to hear that!’ Rainie snapped angrily.

‘What should I do now?’ Her assistant asked cowardly.

‘Continue to tail them. I wanna find out more…’ Rainie said darkly.

With that, they ended the conversation.

Rainie: Damn it! It’s all spoiled, because of her!

Just then, George came into the office hurriedly with the medicine in his hand.

George: Sorry I took such a long time. It was so crowded at the pharmacy.

Rainie: *force a smile* It’s all right.

George: Where are the two of them?

Rainie: They…they went out… *Says grumpily*

George: *sighs and smiles* those two lovebirds…

Rainie frowns upon hearing this.

Just then, someone knocks the door and came in.

George: Chun? What brings you here?

Chun: Oh, there’s a new case. A corpse found at the river bank.

George: Ok, I will get ready to go with you.

Chun: Have you seen Gui Gui?

George: I guess she went for lunch with Aaron. Date. *He winks*

Upon hearing this, Chun frowns and clenches his fist in secret.

However, these reactions were spotted by Rainie.

Rainie POV: Hmmm…maybe this person could be of use….
