It was New Years, January 1, and everyone at YG was given a day off to go spend time with their families. I was planning to use this day to catch up on school work but then someone rang my doorbell.

"who is it??" i asked as i ran to open the door

"your favourite human in the entire world!!" that playful sarcastic voice belonged to no one other than hanbin

As i opened the door, his cheerful facial expression made me smile as well

"happy new years" he said as his smile got wider

"happy new years to you too!" i left the door open for him to come in but he didnt bother

"you're not staying? i thought you wanted to keep me company while i died studying" i joked

"actually....." he hesitated as he scratched the back of his head..... "i was wondering if you'd come babysit with me" He seemed a bit hesitant to ask but as soon as i heard, my eyes brightened and i was full of excitement

"YOU MEAN I FINALLY GET TO MEET HANBYUL??" i quickly grabbed my coat and ran out of the house to meet Hanbin who was surprised i accepted the offer so fast

We arrived at Hanbin's house, and it seemed like he was more nervous than ever. I patted his back to let him know there was nothing to be nervous about.

"relaxxx we're just babysitting right? What are you all nervous for?"

"no it''s not that... my mom can be a little.... anxious... when it comes to meeting someone ive told her about..." he scratched his head as his other hand fiddled with the keys in his pocket

"you've told your mom about me???" a sense of joy and a huge ton of nerves now piled up inside me too

"not too much... just that we've been seeing each other lately...." He took his keys out and put them in the lock to open the door

As Hanbin opened the door, a cute adorable squeeky voice came running our way

"HANBIN OPPAA!!! HANBIN OPPA!!!" Hanbyul ran as fast as her tiny legs would allow her to embrace her older brother in a strong hug. she was the literal definition of a doll. She had the cutest button nose, big black eyes and long silky hair. She was too cute not to obsess over. The similarities in her appearance to that of Hanbin's were faint but noticable.

Hanbin leaned down to pick up his little sister and twirl her in the air, "oppa's back hanbyul!!! How have you been doing my little furrball!!! Do you know where mom is??"

Hanbyul soon noticed another person behind Hanbin and her excitement suddenly tranformed into shyness.... She hid her face behind Hanbin as she peeks from the corner to take note of who i was.

"oppa.... who's that" She whispered in his ear

"she's my friend Hanbyul! She's your unnie!" Her face brightened as she heard the word unnie. She scooted off Hanbin and cautiously walked over toward me. 

I bent down so we could talk face to face, "Anyo Hanbyul!!!" i waved both my hands up as she slowly walked up to me

She examined me head to toe and seemed a bit shy at first but finally after a couple minutes of consideration she spoke. "unniee" She opened her arms slowly and gave me a great big (shy) hug. And i couldnt be happier she was alright with being this comfortable around me.

"hanbin you're here??" All three of us turned around to see Hanbin's mom appear from the kitchen

"yea mom, Happy New Years!.... oh and this is Jen, remember i told you about her before?" He went up and gave his mom a warm hug until he directed her attention toward me.

I felt nervous to be introduced to his mother, but her warm smile and motherly-figure made it more comforting to speak, "Anyo Mrs. Kim. It's nice to meet you!" i bowed my head for a few extra seconds to pay my respect before i got up to meet her gaze

"gosh Hanbin, i didnt know you could make such pretty friends!" she joked as hanbin seemed to get a bit embarrassed. She walked up to me and embraced me in a warm hug.... a hug that only a mother can gift. "it's nice to meet you too Jen" she said as she held onto me

Once the introductions were done, Mrs Kim gave us some green tea and snacks to eat as she instructed Hanbin about everything he needed to know about Hanbyul before she left us to babysit her for the evening.

"momm you're acting like i dont know my own baby sister! She loves me! We'll be fine, just go have fun!" he reassured her

"yea Mrs Kim, even if Hanbin messed up, ill make sure to do my best to keep everything in order!" i joked as i tickled Hanbyul who was eating a cookie on my lap

Mrs Kim let out a relieving sigh as she put on her coat to go out, "alright then guys, im trusting you both! Thank you again for babysitting! Ill be back by 9pm!!"

We both waved as Hanbin got up to lock the door. It was just me, hanbyul and Hanbin in the house now.

"Unnie i wanna play a game!!!" Hanbyul said excitedly as she got out her little makeup box and sat in front of me. "unnie i wanna do your makeup!"

Hanbin started to laugh as he heard hanbyul's command, "are you suree?" I asked Hanbyul hoping she'd change her mind.

But the little cutie was determined to turn my face into her masterpiece, and i couldnt say no to her. So i it up and sat in front of her as she took out all her 'tools' to make me look pretty.

As she worked her magic, Hanbin seemed to enjoy making my life harder by telling her to put different things on different parts of my face.

"here lemme help you Hanbyul" he said as he picked up some blue eyeshadow and started to put it all over my face

I gripped his hand, refusing to let him touch my face any longer. "yah! Hanbin! you'll pay for this!!!" i whined as i looked in the mirror

"unnie done! you look pretty!!" hanbyul seemed to be proud of her work as she held my face in her tiny hands to look at every inch of her work

"you really think so Hanbyul?" i asked as i played along

"you look sooooooo pretty" Hanbin said as he rolled around laughing
