CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

(Yoona’s POV)

Lunch time on Monday, Hyoyeon and I met Joohyun at the canteen. We waited for her at our usual table.

I saw Minseok, Luhan, and Chorong coming in.

“Jagiya!” Minseok kissed Hyoyeon on the cheeks.

“Not now, Minseok.” Hyoyeon brushed him away. “You eat with Luhan and Chorong today. We have an important business.”

“I thought you missed Minseok.” Luhan teased Hyoyeon.

“Who told you?” Hyoyeon glared at him.

Oops! Wrong timing, bro! Hyoyeon and I are both not in the mood to fool around with you.

“There she is!” I pointed at Joohyun who was coming in with Chanyeol.

Wait. Am I seeing things?! Chanyeol and Joohyun?!

It’s real! It’s Chanyeol and Joohyun.

“Joohyunnie! Over here!” Hyoyeon called to her.

Joohyun found us and waved. She and Chanyeol went to our table.

“Where’s Kris?” Minseok asked the two.

Joohyun’s face fell.

“He’s not yet feeling well.” She answered.

Chanyeol patted her shoulder.

“I’ll see you at the parking lot later. I’ll go ahead.” He told Joohyun.

He smiled at us before leaving.

“What happened to Kris?” Minseok asked Joohyun.

“It’s a bit complicated and long. But he’ll be fine soon. He’ll get well. I trust him.” Joohyun said, her eyes distant.

“I have trust in Kris, too.” Minseok said as he put his hand over Joohyun’s shoulder to comfort her.

“Huh? Kris?” Joohyun left her trance and stared at Minseok.

“You said you trusted Kris. We trust him, too.” Minseok shrugged.

“I wasn’t talking about Kris … Oh, never mind.” Joohyun said and took a seat.

“You’re really weird, Joohyunnie. What’s happening to you?” I asked her.

“I told you she’s been like that ever since yesterday.” Hyoyeon said.

“We’ll go ahead and leave you, then. I’m starving.” Luhan told us.

“I’ll see you later, jagiya.” Minseok smiled at Hyoyeon.

“Fine.” Hyoyeon answered.

We watched as Minseok, Luhan, and Chorong went away.

“So, what’s new?” Joohyun asked us.

“What’s up with you?” Hyoyeon asked her, instead.

“Nothing, really. Maybe I’m just a little stressed worrying about Kris’s condition.” Joohyun replied.

“What about Luhan and Chorong?” Hyoyeon asked.
