A Date
The Golden Ticket To Willy Wonka's FactoryDouble Update!!! Yay!! But they're all not proof read, sry!! Anyhow, enjoy :D
Kim- Hong Mi Yeon expected all her kids to be at home for dinner, meaning that Jungkook also had to attend. Tonight the atmosphere was rather awkward between the newlyweds.
Though they were speaking and avoided anything to do with the other, they could still sense the curiosity and hostility in the air between them.
"Kookie, when are you going to town tomorrow?" Mi Yeon asked her god-son, directing everyone’s attention on the said boy.
"I'm not sure, I think about around twelve, before lunch," he said slightly not sure where this was going.
Mi Yeon clutched her hands excitedly. "Perfect, Taehyung-ah doesn't have many lessons tomorrow, he could accompany you there and you wouldn't have to go there alone," she said earning different expressions on the table.
Jungkook cleared his throat and took a sip from his juice trying to stall time so he could think of the right words to use. "Ehm...I kind of already have someone going with me. A friend of mine wanted to pay up a debt." He said carefully watching her excited expression turn into a frown and then nonchalant.
"Oh...I just thought that maybe the two of you could spend time together without having to worry about bumping into someone you know." She said nonchalantly.
He didn’t know why, but he had a soft spot for her and seeing her disappointed made him feel bad. He didn’t want to disappoint her, to upset her. His god-parents were one of the closest people to him, they treated him like family, like one of their sons and he appreciated it more than he could show it.
Thus, he tried to show his appreciation in small gestures, in any way he was permitted, but this would be trouble. He did not want to sit in a car alone with Taehyung and Ha Na. It would not end well; it would be too uncomfortable and weird and would lead to a lot of suspicions.
Besides, Taehyung probably already had plans, it wasn’t like the older had nothing to do. As far as Jungkook knew, Taehyung was always doing something somewhere.
"Mom, we spend almost every day together." Taehyung sighed from his seat. The older had given up eating a long time ago and had opted to downing water glass after water glass. Jungkook wasn’t really interested, but he couldn’t help to wonder what he had done on the weekend to make him this thirsty. He had probably downed more than a liter since they’d arrived and he was not stopping. He had a glass of water in his hand rising to his mouth. When the glass came back down, it was almost empty.
He refilled the glass again. The shook his head at this; he did not have the energy to analyze Taehyung. The older was a puzzle he was not willing to start solving.
"I meant outside of the house, honey." He heard his god-mother say. “It wouldn’t be bad for you two to catch up for old time’s sake.”
"We see each other at school." Taehyung deadpanned. They did see each other at school which was outside of the house.
Mi Yeon narrowed her eyes at her son. “What I meant is that you two should go out on a date,” She said.
Taehyung who had been downing another glass of water choked on it and the rest of the water poured out of his glass onto his shirt as he coughed violently, his face turning red all at once.
Normally Jungkook would have found this amusing, he would have laughed and a part of him probably did want, but he was in the position to do so.
A date.
She wants them to go on a date.
He felt goosebumps run across his skin and his heartbeat increase. She wanted Taehyung and Jungkook to go on a freaking date! As if they were some couple!
This was never part of the agreement! He tried to remain calm in his seat as he watched Taehyung recover from his coughing fit. Surprisingly the younger Kims were not present, their father as well. Apparently they had gone to Daegu to visit some relatives and would come back later this evening.
Now Jungkook understood why she had called them to have dinner earlier than normal; she had planned this. Asking about his schedule tomorrow was just a cover so that she could really say what she wanted to. She was good; he had to give it to her.
“Omma –“ Taehyung was just saying.
“You two living together does not mean much. You need to be seen together, even though your relationship is a secret; it has to be a convincing secret.” She told them.
Taehyung cleared his throat and attempted to say something, but Jungkook beat him to it.
“We understand, but tomorrow is not the best day to display our secret relationship,” He spoke.
She wanted to ask but chose to respect his privacy.
“Hyung and
