*Mingyu's POV*

The class is dead silent when we walk in together..

Their gaze piercing through us as we stand under the doorway.

The math teacher's eyes glaring at us to do something instead of making a distraction for the class.

"Sorry sir!" 

I bow down and Wonwoo does the same.

"We sincerely apologize for being late."

"Just go and sit down please."

We snicker at each other as we make our way over to our desks and as we take our seat I catch the whispers of our fellow peers.

"Don't you find it odd that they were late together?"

"I don't know, it was probably just a coincidence."

The hushed conversation was suddenly interrupted by the lash of our teacher to quiet down.

*Wonwoo's POV*

My arms are wrapped his shoulders are foreheads touching, our lips brushing against each other tenderly. Our bodies huddled together with warmth.

We're alone on the rooftop and it's perfect.

"I'm worried.."

"About what?"

"My grades."

"Pfft. Dude, you've got like the best grades in the school."

"But--"

"Don't worry about that."

I look into his anxious eyes and I kiss him passionately, only doing what I can to comfort him.

We've been left alone, it's what I've always wanted.

*Mingyu's POV*

People are high fiving me, punching me on the shoulder, looking happy to be around me.

"CONGRATULATIONS ON NUMBER ONE MINGYU!" they're all shouting cheerfully. 

I smile back at all of them, thanking them for the congratulatory responses, all except one.

Park Hyesu is storming towards us, her face a flaming hot red.

"ARRRRGGGHH!"

"Yo Bullsu, calm down."

"SHUT UP!"

Hyesu leers at everyone, looking or someone to feast on before her eyes land on me.

"YOU!"

Her finger is pointing towards me and she starts stabbing it towards my torso.

"HOW DO I KEEP LOSING TO YOU?"

"I don't know, I think it's because I get better grades than you."

" NO! I AM GOING TO BE SHAMED BY MY PARENTS BECAUSE I LOST TO SOME LOW-LIFE LIKE YOU, YOU SUICIDAL BASTARD."

"Hmm.. that hurts Hyesu."

"STOP THROWING IT BACK AT ME, ARE YOU GOING TO CUT YOURSELF AGAIN?"

"YOU ING ORPHAN!"

Hyesu raises her hand ready to strike and I flinch only to find no sudden pressure glide through the air to come into physical contact with my face.

"Yo, that's enough."

I look up to find Wonwoo's slender fingers grasping tightly onto Hyesu's hand up in the air.

Hyesu grunts and pulls out of Wonwoo's grip.

"Fine.." she hisses maliciously.

She attempts to spit on Wonwoo but he easily dodges it like it was a fly.

"ARGGH!!"

She scratches her head furiously and walks away, each step heavy with rage.

"Are you okay?"

I nod.

"It's okay, she did no harm."

"Ah, I see. Congratulations by the way."

"Thank you, I also congratulate you, 3rd place!"

"Well, it isn't as good as 1st place."

He leans his head forward ready to kiss me but frowns as he realizes we're in public, in front of students. 

"Lets do this later."

"I concur."

"Hm?"

"I concur."

Wonwoo puts a finger on his chin.

"I'm sorry, what does that mean again?"

I giggle as quiet as possible to prevent others from overhearing.

"It means that I agree."

"Oh, okay."

The bell rings signalling that it's time to go back to class.

Students are scattering all over the place and slowly, Wonwoo and I follow behind, arms linked, united together as one.

"You want to go to my house?"

"Why?" I ask with a hint of curiosity evident in my voice.

Wonwoo shifts his body to completely turn around to me.

He holds onto my hands, and they're warm.

"I want.. you to meet my parents!"

My eyes widen and I gulp down the saliva lingering in my throat.

"W-what?"

"I think it's time."

"But, I don't think I'm ready."

"You are! You just need confidence."

"Wonwoo, this isn't fair, I don't have parents to introduce you to."

"That doesn't matter, I have been waiting for this day, for my mother and father to meet my future significant other."

I back off, breathing heavily.

"I really can't."

I shake my head rapidly.

"It's really ok--"

"What if they don't like me? What if they don't accept me? If they don't agree with our relationship. I--"

"They'll love you Mingyu, don't think of yourself that way." he reassures me as he cups my face with his hands.

I raise an eyebrow.

"Do you really think that?"

"Yes, they will like you! Though not as much as I like you, but you know what I mean."

"I will make sure you will meet them, and it's okay if they despise you, it only matters what I think."

"I guess, you're right."

"Get ready tonight at 6:30, I'll be by to pick you up."

"HUH?! TONIGHT!? I AM NOT READY!"

"Too bad, you said yes."

He smiles brightly as he kisses my forehead before he walks away..
