PARK JIMIN

"You've got to be kidding me", while making out a soft chuckle, Donghyun poked her finger into my chest playfully.

"After all these we've been through, you still think that I will consider us as a fak-,"
"Dr. Kim,"

That was when I gathered up all my courage to interrupt her. I noticed her flinching a little while staying put in my arms but silently, her head soon started jerking up to look at me. But seeing how deadly my gaze was, she took a step back away from me, looking confused. 

"Jimin..."

"Dr. Park. Call me, Dr. Park", I corrected. 

It pained me a lot when I have to play stranger with her once again but I have to. 

"I will convince her to go. Leave this to me." - That was my final decision  and furrowing his brows, I recalled Seokjin giving me a pat on my shoulder before he showed me the way out of his office.

"If that's the case, I'm counting on you bro", he had said. 

And now, I finally realized what some people meant by saying that 'some things are just easy to say but are unfortunately difficult to put into action'. Staring at Donghyun upfront, it took me more than just anything to recite the speech that I have been rehearsing inside my head merely just minutes ago. 

"Look, lets breakup", I ran my fingers through my hair as I spoke before I shook my head again,

"No. I meant... Geumanhae. Let's all drop the act now", I said to her but still, she held a clueless expression on her face. 

I noticed her looking on the ground, playing around with a few strands of her hair before she finally leveled her eyes with mine. 

"T-then what was all the confession about the last time round?"

"T-that...", I stuttered, 

"I was just trying to get you into the act with me. I needed your help here as long as Seokjin sunbaenim is around. He wouldn't possibly let me off easily if he finds out that I lied to him", I sighed hard as I watched her gulped at my words.

"So... In other words, you were just using me all along?"

"Well, of course. I thought I made it clear to you once that I wouldn't fall for you? Or wait. Hold up. Don't tell me that you actually fell for me? 'Cos Kim Donghyun-ssi, this ain't the usual you", I threw my head back and faked a laugh. 

"S-y, are you still not feeling well? O-or is there something wrong with your head???", Donghyun raised her hand and walked towards me but I backed away from her as quick as possible. 

"Don't. Don't do this to me anymore. You know that I hate this feeling of being touched", I lied to her but knowing her character, she didn't stop. Chortling nonstop, she began chasing me around the ward instead until Joohyeon turned up by the door. 

"Jimin-ssi, you called for me?"

Poking her head into the ward, she waved at Donghyun cheekily before she asked me.

"Yea.. And you came just in time," I drew in a deep breath and widening my steps towards her, I pulled her in and sealed her with a kiss that only I understood what I was doing. 

"Pfffff. Y-YAH PARK JIMIN," 

Joohyeon struggled out of my grip almost instantly and being careful not to hurt her in the process, I let go of her after that one kiss. 

"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING?", she yelled at me while her eyes flickered to Donghyun's, guilt-stricken. 

"Hyunnie", Joohyeon gasped, the betrayed expression on Donghyun's face making her feel even more guilty,

"It's not what it looks like." 
"Ani, it's what it looks like,"

"Oh shut up Jimin! You don't know what you are saying", Joohyeon slapped my arm and attempted to clear things out with Donghyun but before she could even do so, I tugged onto her wrist and twirled her around to face me. 

"For 's sake, Bae Irene, you are the one whom I'm in love with all along", I screeched. 

"WHAT?!", Joohyeon screamed but my attention wasn't on her. 

Instead, from the corner of my eyes, I couldn't help but to notice Donghyun staying silent, staring at me, her wide eyes gradually becoming glossy with tears. As I felt my heart hurting, probably as much as hers, I decided to head out for a breather, therefore pulling Joohyeon along with me at the same time.

"Sorry, but we will need another place to talk now,"

With that being said, we left the ward together. Although Joohyeon was pretty much resisting my strength most of the time, I still insisted on doing so to make the scenario more realistic. As we trumpeted down the corridor, I could however sense Donghyun's footsteps still trailing behind us and thus, leaving me with no choice, it forced me into my last resort. 

Without a word, I took my hand in the other and pulled out the bracelet which was formerly nestling around my wrist nicely. Then, as soon as it was out, I eyed for the nearest trash can ahead before cruelly dumping it in. 

So long, Dooly.

And with the last time I turned back, Donghyun had already halted in her steps.

"Guys, I know when I'm not wanted", was all she had muttered  under her breath before abruptly turning and walking away.

KIM DONGHYUN

"You said you loved me and I took you for your words," 

As I trudged wearily across the pathway of the garden downstairs, water droplets fell like they simply cannot think of anything better to do. There was a laziness about them, as if they could barely be bothered to conform to the will of gravity.

Recalling the past ten minutes spent with him was just enough to trigger those tears of mine and unknowingly, I let it stream down my face along with the raindrops that gradually grew heavier and was drenching my clothes. 

Jimin's words had fell out of his mouth like vapour but landed in my guts as shrapnel. With the level of progressions, I literally felt my insides tore and the blood drained from my face back there. I had laugh it off, thinking that he was probably teasing me but he was deadly serious, which left me all flustered in the end. His eyes were cold like I've never seen before and his features were immobile. However, what really hit me the most was when he heartlessly threw away the bracelet which I had given him on his birthday. For that wasn't just any, simple bracelet. It was handmade from scratch and Dooly, he's my character. 

Holding up my bare arm and looking up into the sky, the droplets splattered onto my face as it scrunched up into a frown. The sobs first started out soft but as I begin to lose it, I found myself slowly squatting down with my knees tugged closely against my chest eventually. 

"Park Jimin. You're a bastard,"
"And it sure took you long to figure that out,"

As the voice sounded from the back, the splitter-splatter of the rain stopped as well. Whipping my head around, I was surprised to find Jungkook holding on to an umbrella above me and with a smile, he held out his hand to me. 

"Have been watching you from up there for quite some time," he jerked his head towards the direction of the hospital building and roughly to one of the rooms,

"I was planning to give you some time to tone down but you broke my curfew for you. It's 4am already,"

With all of his strength, he hoisted me up before fixing my hair and running his fingers along my cheeks, carefully wiping away those tears which were gathering in my eyes. 

"And to see you like this, Hyunnie-ah, it saddens me,"

Jungkook escorted me back to my ward afterwards, with him half the time out of the umbrella as he shielded me from the rain. Therefore, after he put me to bed, I looked up to find his hair becoming one with his face, wetly draped over his bony structure. I casually tossed him a towel and he caught it but subsequently after, his expression then grew serious as he drew out the seat next to me and settled down. 

"Hyunnie-ah", he called my name,

"Not to hide from you, there's actually another reason to my visit", Jungkook told me.

Swiftly, he bent down to reach for his bag and then, he brought out a case file to pass it to me.

"You ought to take a look at this,"

JEON JUNGKOOK

FLASHBACK

"Jeon, everything's settled. T.O.P is now locked up and PC4820, he seized GD and the rest. Also, from the last call received, the court have passed down orders to disallow any of them to be bailed out and the hearing, it will be in about a week's time or so", 

My lips naturally curled up at the news.

"Now, great job there pal! It must have been hard on you too", I looked up from my desk to thank Jinyoung who was hovering above me.

He leaned in slightly to peep at my report, then smiling to himself, he brought out something from his back.  

"Thought that you might need this,"

I raised my brows at him but as my eyes darted to the file which had the label 'Case 101' on it, I realised that the current case is actually a follow-up from this.

Waving it in the air, I grinned at him and mouthed a quick 'thanks' as I turned around in my swivel chair and got back to work. 

"Anyway, you've got a visitor", Jinyoung continued from the pantry and turning back once again, I was shocked to find him standing before me. 

"JB..."

JB looked down at the dark locks of mine that had been attached to him all this while. Shyly, he ran his hand through his hair and he smiled. This was the new him.

"Hi, mind if I sit down?"
"Please", I gestured him to the seat which was in front of me in no time. 

As he settled down, I noticed him clearing his throat and meeting my gaze, he told me,

"Jeon Jungkook, thank you. Thank you so much,"

I was surprised by his sudden politeness to me but just as I was about to speak, he interrupted me and added,

"Thank you for choosing to kill neither of us. Thank you for letting me off that day", as he said, I realised that his voice was getting a little edgy towards the end and yet, he continued on.

"I am really thankful to have such a mate like you and I take back whatever words I had said about you on that day. Mark's case wasn't your fault. It was a mishap and as for Jackson... It's all my problem. I killed him under those pressure", JB stared into my eyes intently.

"I hope that you wouldn't bring everything upon yourself and that's why, I have decided to turn myself in", he brought both of his outstretched arms to me after which. 

"It's my pleasure", he smiled. 

I was beyond shocked to hear those truthful words of JB's. Relieved, I nodded my head at him and securing the handcuff around his wrist, I summoned for Choi, who just returned to our team recently to show JB the way. With a comforting pat, I said to JB gingerly, 

"Don't worry dude, I will make regular visits so that you won't feel bored in there,"

"Thanks again. And see you when I see you", he simply laughed it off. 

I sent him off by the exit of the police station and watched the car drove off before I returned back to my seat. Slumping down onto the chair, I picked up the case file once again and scanned through the first page easily. I my finger and flipped another page over after I was done. However, as I continued on and on, my eyes couldn't believe what I actually saw next. 

Double checking the vehicle number to tally with the names again on my desktop, I couldn't help but to finally confirm those details on it. Staring right in front of me, the boldest words on the report showed the name 'Kim Donghyun' and she was actually one of the casualties after the collision with Mark's vehicle back then.
