What she said earlier hit me. She said that she didn't care about who I was dating or what I was doing. What on earth was she made of? All the girls I've dated always are obsessive over me, and they would literally kill if they see me with another girl. But Jae's different.
The whole of the evening, I kept my eyes on Jae. Even if she wasn't part of the family she treated them as her own. She helped my mum out and made the guests as comfortable as possible. I smiled to myself.
It was midnight and the party was finally over.
"I'll get going. Thank you for inviting me." Jae said as she got ready to leave.
"Wait!" I called out to her, I just didn't want her to leave. "It's late."
"It's okay, I can still go."
"Dear, where are you going?" My mum said as she walked into the room.
"I..." I cut her out.
"She's going home but I told her that it's late. I'll drop her off."
"No, Jimin. Why drop her off? She can stay here for tonight!" She smiled. "I'm not going to let you drive this late."
"No eomma, it's alright. I can make my own way home." Jae replied.
"Are you crazy? I'm not letting you go."
"Jimin's right, stay here, we're family aren't we?" Jae nodded.
"I should inform ahjumma then..." She said as she went to call her. Knowing Jae, she'll find it difficult to lie again. So I decided that tonight will be the night I'll confess.
She returned after a few minutes.
"So it's final, Jae's staying tonight. Jimin take her to your room."
"H...his room?" Jae stammered before I held her hand and pulled her with me.
I took her to my room.
"Uh...um..I'll sleep in the guest room."
