MIX AND MATCH contestant Yang Hongsuk is reported to be training under Cube Entertainment after failing to be included in YG Entertainment’s upcoming idol group, iKON. 

According to reports on July 15th, Yang Hongsuk is said to have agreed to train under the agency following his departure from YG Entertainment back in March. Cube Entertainment is likely to help the singer in his debut.

Yang Hongsuk was included in the line-up to join YG Entertainment last year, but despite his efforts during the run of the program, he was unable to make the final cut. Despite his elimination, YG Entertainment promised to maintain his training, but the singer eventually left for personal reasons.

Chapter 507: Actually for Jonghyun statement here is before GD's news. Jjong statement was on a show and he already shoot this long before GD's one was released. And I think you're not fully released all the statement. GD was ask to choose between SHINee and EXO, and he choose SHINee, because they're atleast have members that compose their own music.
I'm not a VIP and yeah I actually disappointed with GD's answer. He's so full of himself. The answer could've been better. He ofc can't compare YG system with SM. You know that SM mostly not allowing their Idol to realease their own compose song (at that time, maybe only Henry and Jonghyun that succeed to released their own song), but nowadays with SM STATION many SM idols allowed to release their own songs. Meanwhile YG always want their Idols to make their own songs, especially for their boyband. You can see the difference. 1. SM didnt trust their idols yet, but they willing to spent money on other composers. Not only that, most of times SM hire composer that ever worked with western singer and obviously it cost a lot.
2. YG pushed their idols to make their songs, they spent a lil money on composers. [Why I said pushed? If you look at B.I condition now maybe you'll understand.]
