In the past year, 5SOS’s fanbase has grown exponentially and the band is currently headlining their first international tour Rock Out with Your Socks Out after opening for worldwide phenomenon One Direction‘s tours since 2013. Their fanbase included many avid K-pop fans as well and upon discovering members Calum Hood and Luke Hemmings’ names credited for the D&E song, they quickly began to share the news.

Super Junior D&E (Donghae and Eunhyuk) released their first Japanese album Ride Me on February 26th, 2014 under Avex Trax Japan with 13 original tracks. Their fourth track “Teenage Queen” was credited to Amon Hayashi (Japanese Lyrics), and Tiffany Vartanyan, Calum Hood, Luke Hemmings, David Musumeci, and Anthony Egizii(Music).

Fans found a rare recording of 5SOS playing the original track “Teenage Queen” and put together a video that featured both 5SOS’s version as well as D&E’s studio version.

While it is unclear who bought the song directly from 5SOS, SM Entertainment eventually acquired the rights for it and released it under D&E’s first Japanese album. The never released the English track left fans asking in the comments section for the boy band to play their rendition of “Teenage Queen” one day.

5SOS is an Australian pop-punk band featuring Luke Hemmings (lead vocals, guitar),Michael Clifford (guitar, vocals), Calum Hood (bass guitar, vocals), and Ashton Irwin(drums, vocals) that began on YouTube and came into worldwide fame after touring with One Direction on their Take Me Home tour. The group has since released their debut self-titled album in 2014 with their title track “She Looks So Perfect” reaching number one on multiple charts worldwide upon release.

Their first international headline tour Rock Out with Your Socks Out will hit 19 countries and 64 cities between May and September of this year.
