Sulli is reported to have officially left f(x) to pursue a solo career in acting. This comes after months and months of speculation that the singer has not been active with f(x) for quite some time now. Initial controversy arose when her relationship with Choiza was revealed and she took an extended hiatus to focus on personal matters.

Sulli still remains an SM Entertainment artist as her contract has yet to expire.

f(x) will prepare their comeback as 4 members including Krystal, Victoria, Luna, andAmber. Their comeback is most likely to take place in September following Girls Generation‘s comeback in July.

SM Entertainment has released an initial statement after Sulli‘s withdrawal from f(x)was reported by the Korean media just moments ago.

On June 25th, SM Entertainment spoke to Sports Donga and stated, “We’ve come across the article about Sulli. We’re checking things and will release a statement after getting things in order.”

The first reports regarding Sulli’s withdrawal from the girl group and turning to focus on her acting while still under SME was released just hours ago. Sulli debuted as a child actress in 2005 before making her idol debut as part of f(x) in 2009.

Soon after giving an initial statement regarding the reports of Sulli withdrawing from f(x), SM Entertainment has come out with their official statement.

On June 25th, SM Entertainment told TV Report, “Nothing’s been decided on the matter of her leaving the group. Her future activity as well as f(x)’s  will need to be very careful.”

Earlier in the day, reports of Sulli leaving the girl group to focus on her acting under SM Entertainment – as her contract was still ongoing – began taking over news websites with further statements that f(x) would now be focusing on their September comeback as a four-member group.

Since her personal hiatus in the summer of 2014 soon after f(x)’s comeback with “Red Light,” Sulli has not been seen publicly until March when she slowly began returning to the public’s eyes through various photoshoots.
