Eun Kyung stretched out her hand and reached for Kiseop’s hand that is shielding his eyes to lower it.

            “Put it down. I want to see you.” Eun Kyung broke the silence.

            Hesitant, Kiseop put his hand down, still staring blankly at the floor. Eun Kyung bends down and peeks to see his face. Kiseop turned away. Confused, Eun Kyung took a step back and let go of his hand she didn’t realised she was still holding on to.

           Both their hearts were racing. Both were lost for words. Kiseop took a deep breath. Eun Kyung let out a sigh. Hesitant, Kiseop slowly turned to face Eun Kyung. Her eyes were as round as the moon, staring right at him, confused.

            “What do I say? How should I act? What should I do?” These thoughts ran through his already exploding head.

            “Er, Hi?” Kiseop finally greeted the girl who annoys him so much for the past weeks.       Eun Kyung’seyes were wide open, her jaws hang low, like she could not believe her eyes.

            “Pinch me. Please.” She finally whispered.

            Hesitant, he smacked her arms playfully.

            Eun Kyung gasps. “Whoa. You got some humour,” she finally grinned.

            Its Kiseop’s first time seeing her smile so widely, in fact it was his first time seeing her. The instant she smiled, his heart melted away, his mind which are always full of things, all cleared. Poof. Like magic. Her smile, he could not help himself but to smile as well, though it was just a half-smile. It feels weird inside him. After months of misery, of always feeling suffocated, he somehow felt light.

            “Er, lunch.”  Kiseop mumbled, and took a step forward to walk out to the dining table.

            Eun Kyung grabbed his arm, stopping him in his steps. They both turned to face each other, she was still smiling. She stepped backwards to face Kiseop who is towering over her. Overwhelmed by happiness and a sense of accomplishment, she put her arms around Kiseop and hugged him tight.

            “Finally,” that was all she said as a tear rolled down her cheeks, as Kiseop just stood there, clueless of how to react.

            “Lunch?” Kiseop broke the silence finally as his tummy is really beginning to grumble real loudly.

            Taking a step back she wipes her tears, she walked out into the dining room. Kiseop follow closely behind.
