Ch. [12]
Rain of BladesHyukjae looked at Kyuhyun. The other had a smug smile and he hated it. What was Kyuhyun talking about? What shield? Of course he shielded himself when he was under attack, what was Kyuhyun thinking? He saw the taller smirk and Hyukjae felt like the other was about to do something that he wouldn’t like at all.
And so he did. Kyuhyun placed his hand with his palm looking up and a small ball of darkness posed itself in there. Hyukjae was sure that couldn’t be good so he did the same with fire.
So far, fire was the only thing that he could use to fight against Kyuhyun. Even more when it was night and Kyuhyun was in advantage over him. He was wishing the sun to come up quickly.
Instead of a ball of fire, Hyukjae’s hand itself became fire, slowly crawling up his arm until it covered his whole body in fire. Hyukjae had become fire itself.
It was a new technique no one had seen before. Of course, having complete control of elements, one would say they could do anything, but to become the element, was another whole different thing. Kyuhyun smirked. He liked Hyukjae. Of course, he wouldn’t be able to get as close as he would like to if Hyukjae was like that, but yet, he liked the smaller boy went out from conventional techniques.
Kyuhyun threw his ball of darkness up the sky. It wasn’t big at all, but as soon as it reached its highest level, darkness starts expanding from there to all the arena, not only the ground this time.
Hyukjae frowned deeply and ran towards Kyuhyun. He had fire in his hands and he started throwing the other small balls of it to distract him, making Kyuhyun lose control of his own balance.
Soon, the audience could see nothing. Everyone was expecting to see something but even the referee couldn’t get a grip of himself. He couldn’t even step on the arena because although it couldn’t be seen, there was still fire all over the ground.
The fight had started almost five hours ago, but they went way too fast. The sun was already up the sky, but it was dark because Kyuhyun was there and he was controlling it at the moment. No one could see what was happening or who was winning, but they all knew they wouldn’t find out soon as they heard the strong crashes of solid darkness against solid whatever Hyukjae was using at the moment.
There was a moment in which the sun was so brilliant that darkness lost its power slightly and people could see the fight once more.
Their clothes were a mess. Hyukjae was barely covered as Kyuhyun had no shirt anymore, probably from the fire.
They stood quiet for a second.
They were tired already. Exhausted.
Hyukjae had used more power than he had ever done and he was feeling dizzy already.
Kyuhyun had to ask the referee to bring his sunglasses because he couldn’t even see anymore. Lucky him, asking for that wasn’t against the rules.
It took them a few more minutes to start fighting once more. Hyukjae now could use any of his abilities because Kyuhyun was more vulnerable. It was great.
During the entire day, Hyukjae dedicated himself to attack Kyuhyun as much as he could and the other could only avoid the attacks and wait for a cloud to cover the sun or something that could help him finally form something powerful.
Kyuhyun looked up the sky.
How much he hated not seeing any trace of a cloud. Gotta work with what we’ve got. He told himself before sighing in and out deeply, looking at Hyukjae throwing blades made out of earth once more.
Kyuhyun made himself a shield with his own shadow, looking at Hyukjae before pulling his shadow as well, making Hyukjae fall down the floor, doing whatever Kyuhyun wished with his shadow.
No one knew both of them had those abilities and Kyuhyun wasn’t supposed to show them. Both males were fighting too hard. So much that even when everyone noticed how exhausted they were, they were also sure it would last at least one more night.
Of course they were right. Hyukjae had to finish everything before it was dark again or else he doubted he had the energy to continue fighting in those conditions.
Hyukjae created a blast of wind around him, making him go up the sky. He couldn’t fly, but he could use air as his transportation, something Kyuhyun could only do at night.
Kyuhyun couldn’t even look up to see where Hyukjae was, because the smaller had placed himself just before the sun and it was killing his eyes to try to look at it. He was sweating and panting already, too tired and too aff
