I gather all my remaining strength and look into Taeyang's eyes. They're watery and hurt. 

"I should've known I couldn't make you forget him."

Weakly, I say, "You make me happy."

He looks at me and with outrage, he says, "It's not enough! It will never be enough. You like me, you love him. I'm your best friend but he's your soulmate. I will always be second choice, admit it. I will never be what Jiyong is to you."

I shake my head and look at the ground. I feel like I'm being scolded. Scolded for loving someone too much. 

"No, you'll never be him."

He looks defeated, but it's not me who won. We both lost something today. 

"Why him? He cheated on you. He broke you. He left you to fend for yourself while he went to parties with models. I was the one who looked after you. I've always been here. Why can't you see me?"

"He's been an , I know. I've been an idiot, yes. But, I can't chose who to love." I fell in love with the bad guy, nice smile, deep, brown eyes, voice of an angel, a fallen angel.  

"What does he have that I don't?"

I take one deep breath and say, "My heart."

He draws his breath and places his hands on the wall, as if to give him support. He's crumbling right in front of me and it's my fault.

A couple of minutes go by when he says, "At least I made you laugh." There's a slight smile on display. 

I laugh, "Yes, you did. Even, when I didn't want to."
