I hold Dara's hand as we walk into the building. Minzy is behind me, nervously chattering. Jeff Benjamin is waiting for us in the conference room. 

"Hey! It's 2NE1! How are you guys?"

Dara cheerfully exclaims, "Good! Great!"

"We have some questions for you guys about CRUSH and what 2015 will look like for 2NE1."

"First Question: What song took the longest to produce?"

I answer this one. "Come Back Home actually took the longest. Teddy and I had the beat and we recorded hundreds of demos with Lydia but every time there was just something that wasn't clicking, until like two weeks before the deadline we had something we liked and we had the girls record it."

"CL, you produce and write for not only 2NE1 but for other YG artists like G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Lee Hi, what's the difference when you work with 2NE1 and with other artists? Was it different for this album since it's been four years since 2NE1 released a full-length album?"

"With 2NE1, I just know the flow of the songs. I know what the members like to sing and I know what will make their voices shine. They're my girls and we share the same passion for music but in a way it's harder because it puts more pressure on me. With other artists, we figure out what the album sounds like or the direction they're taking and I produce the songs with Teddy or Kush or Choice37. I'm not as attached just because it's not my album and I don't have that immense pressure on my shoulders. Usually, with Taeyang or G-Dragon we just click. We've known each other for so long that we know what we like so we just make songs and it's easy. CRUSH   took so long because I wanted a perfect comeback. So many things were happening in our lives after our first album that so many songs were being written and produced. I remember going to Teddy's studio every single day with a new song and we would record it and by the end of the week we would have a bunch of demos and lyrics and we didn't know what to do with them. That's why we kept releasing EPs and mini-albums to get the songs we liked out there. But it was a grueling process because there were a lot of songs and and unfortunately, we had to keep extending the deadline so I'm sorry to the fans because they had to wait so long for a comeback but they received it well and I'm happy about that."

"What are your favorite songs?"

Dara says, "Come Back Home! It's really fun to dance to. It's a really cool song."

Minzy says, "Crush. It's really energetic and gets the crowd jumping."

Bom says, "Gotta Be You. It's really catchy. Chaerin did a great job with that song."
