Chapter 27.

Ephemeral

Hi guys! I hope you're doing well :) Sorry I took a while in getting this chapter, I've had an absolutely hectic few weeks with moving into university accommodation, and my projects which never seem to end T^T I'm currently studying graphic design at Falmouth University, and I live outside the city in a little town called Penryn. It's been a good month and half, and I've been getting to know people in my flat and that's why it took me a wee bit longer to get this and the next few chapters together. Anyway, I hope you like it. Thank you for getting us to 208 subscribers so far, it really means a lot :D I hope you enjoy this chapter... or not...

“Real surprised you let Jimin partner with you today.” Hoseok walked up to Junghwa the next day, as they made their way up to the terrace. The eight of them had decided that it would be a good day to sit outside in the sun, since it wasn’t as cold as it was starting to become.

“Ah, yeah, well-” Junghwa shrugged, giving him a small smile. “Figured I’d try dancing with someone new, you know?”
“Well, if he’s trying something funny, let me know.” Hoseok chuckled. “You know him and skinship.”
“I can handle it. It’s Jimin.” Junghwa scoffed. “Cut him some slack, he’s not that bad!”
“He’s as blond as Tae on bad days…” Hoseok snorted, laughing for a good thirty seconds, and it surprised Junghwa, for she hadn’t seen him so… happy, in a while.

“Seems like you’re feeling better today.” She began, to which he grinned as he slowly nodded.
“Mm, today’s a good day. I guess. I don’t know, it’s just-”
“Yeah, I get it.” Junghwa grinned; she, too, was in a good mood, for some reason she couldn’t quite put her finger on. But it was certainly like a breath of fresh air, compared to the last few days.

“Ah, Hobie, Junghwa-” A familiar voice stopped them in their tracks, and they turned around with wide smiles.
“What is it, Jimin?” Junghwa grinned as the younger male put his arm around her shoulder, giving her a broad grin.

“Notice anything different?” He laughed, to which Hoseok looked at him curiously.

“You’re dumber than usual-?” Hoseok nudged him roughly, earning himself a vicious glare from the shorter male.

“You’re hilarious, Hoseok, you know?” Jimin said dryly.
“But of course, Jimin.” Hoseok laughed as they reached the door to the terrace. Walking outside, Junghwa stretched her arms out, sighing happily.

“Good stuff, huh?” Namjoon grinned as he looked up at the sky, squinting his eyes as the glare of the sun suddenly emerged from the clouds, hItting his face viciously.

"Real good." Junghwa nodded, slowly sitting down next to him. "All right?"
"Yeah, you?"

Junghwa paused to think about how to answer that question, before grinning at Namjoon as she said, "Never better."
"Oh, Hwa!" Jungkook called out to her as he appeared through the doorway. "Where's your boyfriend?!"
"What do you mean, 'boyfriend'?" She gave him an incredulous look.
"Oh, Daehyun called him aside for a few." Namjoon winked. "Jealous he's hogging the bae's time, Junghwa?"
"What the , Joon..." Junghwa buried her face into her palms. "Guys! Stop it! There's nothing going on!"
"Right." Jimin flopped down next to her. "But if you guys don't work out, Junghwa, you can come to me."
"Or we could send Yoongi to you instead." Hoseok snickered.
"Gosh, no!"
"Gosh, yes!" Junghwa chortled. "I know I ship YoonMin!"
"No... YoonHwa all the way." Jungkook snorted, ignoring the rude gesture his sister cast him with her hand.

"Guys- oh hey! You have green hair?!" Junghwa gasped as the sun shone on Jimin's hair, showing off a dark emerald hue. He grinned, nodding slowly.

"It looks black but in the sun, it's green, eh?" Jimin rolled his sleeves up. "It's a new shade. You like?"
"Very much." Junghwa began to pat his hair in awe. "You should take me to the salon, I would love to dye my hair again.”
“Why not go with Yoongi? He dyes his hair every month.” Jungkook piped up, just as Seokjin walked towards the group, sitting down next to them.

“But he only dyes his hair at home!” Junghwa complained, to which Seokjin snickered as he said, “Well, you’d know all about that, wouldn’t you?”
“Yeah, she practically lives at his house anyway.” Jungkook smirked, enjoying himself thoroughly. Junghwa’s cheeks turned a furious shade of red, as she fumed at everyone around her.

“What’s up?” Taehyung, who had walked up to them by then, looked at Junghwa’s angered face, and the sly grins on the rest of their faces spoke for everything.

“These idiots are making fun of me with Yoongi again, when there’s clearly nothing going on.” She wailed, glaring around at everyone angrily.
“Well, maybe you should hang out with us a bit more. Gives them less of a chance to poke fun at you, don’t you think?” Taehyung shrugged, which was met with a horrified face from Junghwa, making the rest of them burst into laughter.

“Taehyung, you’re too cruel…” Junghwa pouted, as she stood up again. “I’m leaving! See you later!” Junghwa huffed as she stormed towards the door, nearly running into Yoongi as she rushed back inside. The latter was confused at first, but glancing back at the mischievous smirks on everyone else’s faces, he didn’t have to put together what was wrong.

“I don’t know what you told her-” He walked up to them, sitting down next to Hoseok. “I don’t care, either. I’m not the one bringing her back.”
“I’ll do it.” Taehyung sighed, moving past Yoongi without an ounce of hesitation, and rushed back inside the school building, making everyone else look after him with surprise.

“Did you hear how bitter Tae sounded when he said that?” Hoseok began slowly, making Yoongi look at him with surprise.
“Bitter-?”
“Well, Yoongi…” Namjoon mumbled hesitantly. “We kinda teased Junghwa with you.”
“Of course you would.” Yoongi was quite used to this by now, so he only let out an exasperated sigh as he shook his head. “Real mature, guys. I can see why Taehyung was bitter.”
“Wait-” Seokjin spoke up. “What do you mean, you can see why?”

Yoongi blinked rapidly, as everyone’s eyes darted towards him, staring at him expectantly. He blinked again, before hissing under his breath, “.”
“Junghwa tried to gain his sympathy and he told her that if she hung out with us instead of you a bit more, maybe we wouldn’t make fun of you as much.” Jungkook clarified the situation, seeing how Yoongi was still a little confused.

“Oh, dear.” Yoongi shook his head, as he looked around at them. “He got the wrong idea, after all.”
“What’s up, Yoongi?” Jimin asked tentatively.
“He’s bitter about Yoon’s friendship with Junghwa. What does it tell you?” Namjoon shook his head.
“He’s jealous?” Seokjin’s eyes widened. “Wait, what about Minji?! Didn’t he crush on her for ages?”
“He asked about me and her.” Yoongi finally spoke up, sending everyone into a stunned silence.

“Tae likes my sister?” Jungkook looked at Yoongi, to which the older male nodded slowly.

“Well… I can’t say I’m surprised.” Jungkook finally scoffed.
“I think all of us noticed, really, just haven’t said anything about it.” Hoseok murmured.
“That day, the basketball match…” Namjoon began, looking at Yoongi. “You told me you’re playing a hunch-?”
“Yeah, Joon. It’s so obvious he likes her.” Yoongi shrugged.
“But the real question is… Yoongi, do you like her?”

Jimin’s question, again, had everyone looking at him expectantly. He couldn’t explain it himself, either, but when the question came his way, he wasn’t able to deny it there and then. Did he like Junghwa? Was he just playing with his own emotions when he denied it himself?

He couldn’t deny the fact that he had thought about it, but only briefly. Because he just couldn’t bring himself to think about being anything more than friends with Junghwa. His cold past was to blame for a part of it, and the other… he couldn’t explain. It wasn’t that she would make a bad girlfriend, because she definitely would make a good girlfriend, but… it seemed out of the question, nonetheless.

It was true that Taehyung liking her was unsettling to him, but he paid no mind to his own feelings. It would be much easier to avoid the situation all together.

He looked up at his friends, before slowly shaking his head as he said, “No.”

And saying that was just as unsettling.

“Look who’s back!” Jimin suddenly piped up, making everyone look towards the door. Junghwa had come back; well more like brought back against her own will, for Taehyung was pushing her towards the circle, and Junghwa was doing her utmost best to resist.

“Come on, Junghwa, don’t be difficult.” Taehyung pushed her down next to Yoongi, before skipping over to sit by Jungkook. Junghwa let out a scoff, before glancing at Yoongi, giving him a small smile. With a quick nod, he glanced back down at the pack of cards in his hand.

“Who brought the cards?” Jin asked curiously.
“Ah, I did.” Namjoon grinned. “So who’s up for a game of Bluff?”

Bluff was simple. The cards were equally dealt amongst the eight friends, who then had to put cards in the middle, all face down, and call out which cards you put down. You could either choose to be honest, or bluff your way through until you had no cards left. The first one to put all their cards down on the deck would win.

“So, when you think someone’s not putting down what the called out, you say bluff?” Seokjin looked at Namjoon, who slowly nodded.

“You call them out, basically. If they’re bluffing, they take all the cards on the deck. If not… you take the cards.” He smirked. “Ultimately, the key is to have a good poker face.”
“Yoongi’s going to find this too easy!” Jimin protested.
“Well then, work on your poker face.” The older male retorted, as he began to shuffle the two packs together to form a single deck.

Once the game began, Seokjin caught on quite quickly, even managing to win the first round. Yoongi claimed that it was because he went too easy on him, and Hoseok nodded in agreement, calling it beginner’s luck.

“Oh shut up.” Seokjin scoffed. “You’re just bitter I won.”
“Let’s see who wins next, then.” Yoongi smirked, as Namjoon began to shuffle the cards once more.

And as luck (unfortunately) had it, Yoongi won the three rounds, much to the distaste of everyone in the group. However, to make up for it, Jimin would lose each round.

“Yay! I’m not last!” Hoseok jumped around jubilantly as Jimin picked up his cards, finding them to be indeed, two kings, as he had said himself.

“ you, Jung Hoseok.” Jimin growled as he threw his cards back down on the deck. Junghwa cast him a sympathetic glance, before taking the cards and shuffling them herself. After dealing them amongst the eight, she looked at Jimin with a small smile, saying, “You’ll definitely win this time!”

But, that wasn’t the case.

“One ten.” Yoongi smirked as he placed his last card down on the deck, looking at everyone else provokingly, his gaze daring them to call him out. Jungkook immediately placed a card on top of it, his expression stoic as he put down his second card, claiming the two to be fives.

“Bluff!” Jimin called out triumphantly, picking up Jungkook’s cards, and his face fell when he saw that they were indeed, two fives.

“You guys are too easy…” Yoongi spoke quietly, his mischievous grin never leaving his face.
“What card did he put down-?” Namjoon picked up Yoongi’s card, and upon seeing it, he began to laugh uncontrollably.

“It was an ace of spades!” Seokjin sniggered. “Way to go, Jimin. Pick ‘em up!”
“Geez, you can’t do that, Yoongi!” Jimin snapped as Junghwa picked up the deck, handing it to him.
“I can, Jimin. If you didn’t realise it, you have all eight tens.” Yoongi stuck his tongue out. “We’re playing with two decks, remember? Look at your cards. You could’ve easily called me out.”

Jimin looked down at his cards, before his cheeks turned pink with embarrassment.

“When did you look at my cards?! Now that’s unfair!” Jimin pouted.
“Jimin, you’re holding your cards out for the whole world to see.” Hoseok snorted. “You should be more careful.”
“You got no jams.” Namjoon guffawed as Jimin grudgingly picked up the cards from the deck.

“Aw, guys! Don’t be mean to Chimchim!” Junghwa cooed. “It’s okay, Jimin, come over before we go to Soul Dance today and I can teach you some tricks before we leave.”
“At least someone’s nice!” Jimin huffed at the rest of the boys. Junghwa laughed as she put her arm around his shoulder, giving him a broad grin. “I’ll help you the next round.” She winked.
“Hey, help me too, I’m losing here!” Taehyung whined.
“You got second in first three rounds, Tae, shut up! You’re not as bad as Jimin here!” Junghwa rolled her eyes. Everyone laughed as Taehyung smiled sheepishly, scratching his head with embarrassment.

By then, he had made his mind up.

“Jungkook… I really need to talk to you.” Taehyung whispered into Jungkook’s ear amidst the confusion he had created while they were playing bluff. Jungkook noted the urgency in Taehyung’s voice, and slowly nodded.

“Ah… we’ve got half-an-hour of break left.” Taehyung stood up. “I’m going to go down to the cafeteria.”
“I’ll come with you.” Jungkook stood up. “Anyone want anything?”
“Crisps!” Hoseok’s hand shot up in the air.
“Samgyeopsal!” Yoongi and Junghwa chorused, before the both of them burst into laughter.

“Aish, you can get your samgyeopsal another time!” Jungkook clicked his tongue in an annoyed manner. “We’ll just bring up some stuff. Let’s go, Taehyung.”

Taehyung and Jungkook nodded at the rest of their gang, before they walked through the terrace door back inside the school building. The two friends walked down the corridor without exchanging words, before Jungkook broke the silence as they reached the staircase.

“What did you want to talk to me about?” Jungkook spoke up, glancing at Taehyung. The younger boy ran his fingers through his orange hair as he looked at Jungkook nervously.

“I know that the timing’s kind of… messed up.” He murmured hesitantly. “And there’s no easy way to say this. But, I think you should know. I know I’m going to regret telling you this but I think you have to know.”
“Taehyung. What’s wrong?” Jungkook looked at him concernedly. Taehyung sighed, before he looked at Jungkook again.

“There’s someone I like. And it’s not Minji.”

Jungkook arched his eyebrows, his mind racing with thoughts. Not Minji? Then who could it be?

“Don’t tell me you like May, Taehyung…” Jungkook began.
“May? No, it’s not May. I’m not that much of a douchebag to like the same girl you do…” Taehyung mumbled, looking away. Jungkook looked at Taehyung incredulously, wondering why he was bothering to tell him all this… before he remembered what Yoongi told them; and it finally clicked.

“You like my sister.” Jungkook mumbled. “Don’t you?”
“Geez, why is this so embarrassing?!” Taehyung roared, turning away as his cheeks blushed furiously. “Aish, forget I even said anything, please…”
“Sh, Taehyung.” Jungkook threw his arm across Taehyung’s shoulder. “I think you made it obvious to everyone but Junghwa herself.”

Taehyung looked at Jungkook with shock, blinking rapidly.

“You’re lying.” Taehyung muttered weakly, his face becoming pale. “No…”
“Yeah.” Jungkook laughed. “We all played a hunch. So yeah. But hey, if you like her, ask her out.”
“You don’t mind-?” Taehyung asked timidly. Jungkook shrugged nonchalantly, shaking his head.

“You really don’t mind?” He asked again, and Jungkook rolled his eyes, letting out an exasperated groan.

“No, Taehyung, I really don’t mind. It’s my sister’s decision on who she wants to date and I have no hand in the matter whatsoever. But I will tell you this,” Jungkook looked at him sternly. “If you ever hurt my sister, you’re going to be in deep .”

Taehyung nodded rapidly, his eyes widening at Jungkook’s intimidating expression. Jungkook let out a small laugh, before he ruffled his hair.

“You’re so gullible, Taetae.” Jungkook snorted. “But you might want to get a move on.”
“Huh?” Taehyung arched his eyebrows, looking at him curiously.
“I hope you do realise you’re not the only one that has noticed my sister, Taehyung.” Jungkook scoffed, making Taehyung blink with confusion.

“Surely you don’t mean Yoongi?” Jungkook sighed, before turning towards Taehyung again.

“He likes Junghwa, and he’d never admit it, you know that.”
“But… he has told me he doesn’t-” Taehyung began, but shook his head as he glanced at Jungkook again. “But then, they’re always together, to the point where it might just piss me off-”

Jungkook noted the change in expression on Taehyung’s face once more, the worried look replaced with a more angered one as his jaw clenched, his eyes hooded with obvious and absolute rage.

“Jealousy, Taehyung, that’s why you’ve made it so blatantly obvious to us that you like her.” Jungkook began walking down the stairs again, and as soon as he reached the foot of the staircase, he looked back up at Taehyung.

“My sister’s had too many one-sided experiences.” Jungkook began, the playful grin on his face replaced with a more serious look. “She won’t know who likes her until someone says it to her face. I don’t mind you dating her, if she lets you. Just remember that she’s not used to having a boyfriend, so… you know, take it slow, and don’t mess it up.”
“Why do I find that hard to believe…?”
“It is what it is, Taehyung. Now if you’re going to ask her out, do it pronto.”

And with that, Jungkook walked off, leaving behind his friend stunned, and extremely lost.

“Oh, you’re up early!”

Jungkook trailed out of his room, surprised to see that Junghwa was already at awake and fully dressed at five-thirty in the morning. Seeing that she was wearing a pair of basketball shorts and a loose t-shirt, he immediately gathered that she was either going out for a run, or for early track practice.

“Did Yongguk ask you to come today?”
“Yes, and no.” Junghwa replied, and seeing the surprised look on her brother’s face, she chuckled. “Yoongi told Yongguk I’d show up today. And, since I did wake up early, for some reason, I decided to go anyway.”
“Well done, you.” Jungkook chuckled. “Yongguk and Himchan have missed you a lot, you know?”
“Ah, have they?” Junghwa unconditionally smiled as she zipped up her jacket, before looking at Jungkook. “Well, I’m heading out now, so I’ll see you in a few.” “Bye, then.” Jungkook grinned as his sister took her water bottle and her bags, flashing him a grin as she ran out the door. He couldn’t help but smile as she skipped out the door, excitement lighting up her whole face.

Boy, she must have really missed going for track.

After jogging for around fifteen minutes, the school’s running field came into view, and Junghwa couldn’t help but smile again as she approached the track.

“Oh?” Himchan turned around, his eyes falling on a tall figure running towards him and Yongguk. Squinting his eyes to get a better look, he couldn’t help but smile at seeing who it was.

“Junghwa, nice to see you again!” Himchan chuckled as Junghwa rushed up to the both of them. She wrapped her arms around Himchan, pulling him into a tight hug. "Nice to see you, too."
“Where you been, tiger?” Yongguk grinned, ruffling her hair playfully, before his eyes widened with a sudden realisation as he began shaking his head slowly. “No, , I mean-”
“Did Jungkook tell you?” Junghwa sighed, to which Himchan and Yongguk, knowing full well what she was talking about, nodded slowly.

“Just me and Yongguk, though.” Himchan mumbled hesitantly. “He felt like we ought to know, I guess…”
“He didn’t want to, though, we sorta… forced him to tell us.” Yongguk glanced away, looking slightly ashamed of himself now.

Junghwa almost wanted to disappear in that moment; she honestly hoped that this wouldn’t be brought up today, but it seemed like she couldn’t avoid it at the moment.

“Yeah, well,” Junghwa forced a smile as she looked at the both of them. “I was a bit reckless, but I’m putting that behind me. And I hope you can, too.”
“Let bygones be bygones, right, Channie?” Yongguk grinned at Himchan, who slowly nodded. “We’re just happy to have one of our best runners back.”

Junghwa glanced at them with a grateful smile, before she walked away to do some more stretching, and hopefully pull herself together for the first run. And thankfully, it wasn’t too bad. She managed to get a few laps in before more people started to make it for practice, and she had even managed to beat her own record time that morning.

“Very nice, Junghwa!” Yongguk grinned, as he gave her a casual side-hug. “You’ve improved. You might be able to make it through to the games after all.”

And that was all Junghwa needed to push herself even further. With each lap, her time had consistently decreased, until it was a fairly steady timeframe, after which Yongguk clapped his hands together, making her turn around.

“That’s good for today, Junghwa. Get back here.” Yongguk nodded, and Junghwa gave him a small smile as she began to make her way towards him and Himchan, a slight jog in her stride.

Unfortunately for her, though, one of her shoelaces had come undone with her completely unaware about it. Stepping on them, she lost her balance and fell face forward onto the hard ground, next to a few of her trackmates.

Sitting up slowly, she could clearly hear Yongguk curse out, and saw him run towards her, closely followed by Himchan. However, that wasn’t the only thing she had heard.

“Oh, looks like someone’s forgotten to take their daily dose of steroids today.”

Junghwa’s heart nearly stopped at those words, and she cautiously looked back at her teammates - all of them were looking down at her coldly, and in that moment, she realised it.

They know.

“Oi, Seojun, shut the up.” Himchan called the person out, giving him a vicious glare. The look was returned, before Seojun and his little group of friends walked off, leaving Junghwa behind with Himchan and a worried Yongguk.

“You okay?” He mumbled, helping her up to her feet. And Junghwa was sure that the question was aimed more towards her psychological state, rather than her physical state. However, she decided not to question that in itself, but instead replied with a slow nod.

“Of course, just… my knee feels a bit funny, that’s all.” Junghwa lied, standing up with a forced smile. “I might need to go and see the nurse.”
“Yeah, that’s fine.” Yongguk nodded, giving her a reassuring grin. “Good job, today.”
“Thanks.” Junghwa grinned back as she walked over to the benches. Grabbing her duffel bag and backpack, she waved at Himchan and Yongguk before walking back towards the buildings that were next to the track field.

Once she turned around the corner, she disappeared from sight. However, instead of turning left again into the school building, she walked straight ahead, letting out a heavy sigh as she dragged herself towards the school gates.

“Hey, you okay?”

Jimin looked up at Junghwa, who had walked into the practice room with a scowl on her face. She glared down at him, causing him to draw away with fear as he looked away, mumbling a meek “Never mind.”

The whole day had been a horrible one for Junghwa. After the little incident on the running field, she hadn’t been able to think straight, her mind continuously replaying the malicious words that came her way. And no matter what she did, she wasn’t able to keep it off her mind, the little monster in her head slowly winning against what was left of her willpower.

And it was with much effort that she brought herself to practice her routine with Jimin that evening, as she slowly sauntered into Soul Dance’s practice room.

“Sorry… I’m alright.” Junghwa forced a smile as she flopped down on the floor next to Jimin, slowly starting on her stretching exercises. They both then proceeded to help each other with their stretching, as was the normal routine before they began their practice.

“Hey, what’s bothering you?” Jimin began slowly, as he pulled at Junghwa’s hands, helping her to reach her toes.
“Nothing…” Junghwa grumbled, looking away before Jimin could see through her lie.

“Well, I don’t believe that…” He mumbled, but thankfully for Junghwa, he decided to drop the matter, as he looked up at her with a small smile.

“I have some ideas for the choreo, how about you?”
“Not really…” Junghwa replied sheepishly, giving him a shy smile. “I’ve had a lot on my mind these last two days, couldn’t exactly think of something.”
“It’s okay.” Jimin smiled kindly. “We can always figure something out on the way. Heck, that’s what we are supposed to do, right?”

Junghwa slowly nodded, as she agreed with a quiet “Right.”

Jimin sighed again, obviously noting that there was something bothering Junghwa. But he knew that bringing it up would just be a hindrance to their practice, given how she had a tendency to walk out on people whenever she didn’t like something. And he was sure that Junghwa wouldn’t like it if he brought the matter again.

However, after many attempts to have a perfect practice session failing on them, Junghwa’s frustration with the state of things had only increased even more in that half hour, and she had finally had enough. She slowly edged away from Jimin, towards their bags to pick up her things.

“I guess we’re calling it a day, then, huh?” Jimin slowly sighed, giving her a wistful smile. She slowly shrugged, giving him an apologetic look as she rushed out of the practice room, leaving her friend dumbfounded.

He sighed, knowing full well that nothing would bring her back. But… should he tell Jungkook about his sister’s peculiar behaviour?

Maybe I should stay out her business, and ensure that Jungkook does the same.

Jimin sighed to himself, before he decided to focus on the choreography Hoseok had taught him a few days ago. There was no point in working on their project without her.

However, around twenty minutes later, Jimin couldn’t take it. He brought out his phone, before dialling Jungkook to tell him of what had happened.

“She just left?” Jungkook blinked with surprise, as Jimin narrated the incident over the phone.

“Yeah, I asked her if there was something bothering her, but… she never said what. She kept brushing it aside.” Jimin sighed, as he slowly mumbled, “I’m really worried, Jungkook, she claims to be fine but at the same time, I feel like this… everything, really, it’s just having an adverse effect on her.”
“I know, Jimin, but…” Jungkook sighed again. “Give her time. It’s honestly the best thing we could do right now.”
“Maybe you could ask Yoongi to jolt some sense into her…”
“Jimin, she doesn’t lack sense, she’s just adamant that it’s all her fault. I know she’s improved a lot since Ma… yeah.” Jungkook trailed off for a few moments, before sighing again. “And besides, I can’t just ask Yoongi to do that. He does enough for her without her asking, and he’s got enough of his own.”
“Yeah…” “Hey, Jimin, that sounds like the door, I’ll call you later, yeah?”

Jungkook quickly hung up, just as the door swung open, and Junghwa stormed in, much to the surprise of the three boys that were already inside.

“Junghwa?” Taehyung arched his eyebrows as she stumbled past Jungkook and Namjoon.
“What’s wrong-” Namjoon began, but was rudely cut off when Junghwa slammed the door, and, to everyone’s shock, locked it.

“Hwa?” Jungkook rushed to the door, knocking against the door. When he got no answer, he knocked once more, calling her name more frantically.

“Damn it!” Jungkook snapped. “She’s not opening the door.”
“Should we try breaking it open?” Namjoon suggested.
“No, she might be holding it shut.” Taehyung shook his head. Jungkook grabbed the doorknob, turning it violently. But the door refused to budge.

“Junghwa!”

Right... well that happened.
