。HAN AERA

We don't know what our mistakes are until we fix it. We don't know what our mistakes do to other people until it slap us in the face.

Aera didn’t get far from the house when a hand grabbed her wrist and forced her to turn around. Kai’s fury expression only caused more anger to boil inside of her, but she tried to ignored the heating blooding rushing through her body.

“What the hell was that?!” Kai shouted as he gripped her tighter. “She’s pregnant! How could you bully a pregnant lady?! You could harm the baby! Why are you so evil, huh?!”

“Let me go.” Aera monotonically said. Her voice was a bit soft, and she couldn’t even look at Kai; she only stared into place.

“Oh, now you want to get away after what you did? Naeun is emotionally unstable, she gets mood swing, and the baby is weighing her down. You should at respect her that much! Do you know what could have happen if you went overboard?” Kai used his other hand to grabbed her shoulder as the hand that held her wrist only gripped more; he shook her with his anger pouring out towards Aera. “Just what were you thinking?!”

Aera stayed quiet at all of Kai’s remarks. She stared into space, trying to block out all the annoying words that were throwing at her, but she couldn’t. Why was it always Naeun? What’s so special about that ugly girl, anyway? Why is everyone taking side for her?

“Are you even listening to me?” Kai shook her once again until Aera shifted her gaze to look at Kai. The male expression soften at the sight of those eyes. They looked tired and dead; Kai frowned because Aera only looked at him with a blank face.

Aera looked away, avoiding showing any fears or expression to this one person who always anger her. She refused to let Kai see her tears.

Kai, however, was speechless for second. Usually, Aera will fight back, she will do something, anything but definitely not this. What Kai saw was not the Aera who kicked his precious muscle. This Aera looked so vulnerable, fragile like an expensive ice glass. He saw the water eyes, and the way her lips trembles. He saw the way she tries to say something but was too upset to talk. He loose his grip on her and say nothing more. He wasn’t sure if it was one of her acts because he couldn’t trust her, not yet at least. Aera was too much to put his trust on; he couldn’t risk it, beside, he saw the way how Aera bullied his cousin. How she didn’t care if she was hurt, heck, she didn’t even care that Naeun was pregnant!

He watched Aera as she slowly turned around and walked away. Kai didn’t understand why Aera would be upset, she was the one who hurt Naeun. Aera didn’t even get hurt, not physically at least. He pushed those thoughts away as he walked back to Sehun’s house to care for his cousin, but the image of the sad face of Aera was still plastered in his mind, hunting him, making him feel guilt for dissing her? He wasn’t sure anymore.
