Chapter 23
‘Passengers, who are taking Flight FA54 to New York City, please kindly board the train within 30 minutes as it is departing soon. Thank you and have a safe flight.’ The announcer said through the speaker.
‘Guess it is time for me to go.’ Hyun said as she fixes her scarf. ‘Take care of yourself when you’re over there, darling.’ Hyun’s father whispered as he hugged her goodbye, following by her mother and Donghae. Hyun bit her lower lips and looked around; trying to spot if Hyukjae did come to send her off, but there wasn’t anyone who has blonde hair spotted.
She sighed, not sure whether to feel regretful or contented as she remembered her harsh words directed to him.
‘If you don’t have the heart or intention on really making me stay, please do not find me anymore and just allow me to leave peacefully. I would really appreciate it if you do that. Thank you Eunhyuk-ssi.’
She looked down and held her luggage. ‘Donghae oppa, can you please do me a favour?’ She asked which Donghae replied, ‘What is it?’ in response.
She then dragged Donghae to one corner and told him, ‘Please help me tell Hyukjae oppa that I’m not angry with him anymore. Ask him to take care of himself and not to skip meals unless he wants his gastric to act up again. Please tell him that… I really enjoyed the time being together with him and thank him for everything he has done for me. Can you help me pass this message to him?’ Hyun said, her eyes looking at him as if pleading him to say yes.
‘Alrig—’ Donghae was about to agree before he was being cut off. ‘Tell me all these yourself and not send a messenger to pass this message to me.’ Hyukjae said as he panted, leaning onto one of the poles for support. Hyun and Donghae were shocked by his appearance and as they both stood there with their feet earthed to the ground, Hyukjae walked towards them slowly, sweating madly.
‘Hyukjae… what are you doing here?’ Hyun asked, still surprised by his appearance. Hyukjae stood in front of Hyun and turned his head towards Donghae, ‘Can you please leave us alone for awhile?’ He asked politely which Donghae nodded and patted on his shoulder as he was leaving, as if secretly wishing him good luck.
Hyukjae then turned back to Hyun, who was now looking at him with eyes widened in confusion. ‘Hyun, don’t leave. Stay.’ He simply said, making Hyun frown. ‘Hyukjae, I said before. Give me a reason for me to stay and not leave then.’ Right after Hyun finish saying, Hyukjae pressed his lips onto hers, kissing her senselessly.
Hyun was once again taken aback by the sudden kiss but didn’t complain as she let herself to be drowned into the kiss.
After awhile, Hyukjae finally pulled away from the kiss and cupped her cheeks while leaning his forehead onto hers. He looked into her eyes intently as he noticed how much she was blushing. He then caressed her cheeks, which made Hyun look at him too.
‘Is this going to end like the other time…? If so, please don’t say anything and let me leave now. I don’t want to say anymore hurtful words to you.’ Hyun said softly with a hint of fear in her voice.
She was about to take her luggage and leave before Hyukjae held onto her wrist, stopping her. She didn’t turn back to face him because she didn’t want to be hopeful just like every other times and just stayed there.
‘I love you.’ There, Hyukjae finally said it out.
Yaaaay!! >< I'm really happy with this chapter of mine because Hyukjae finally said the three words out!!! Kyaaa~ Omg even though I'm the author myself and knew how the story goes, but I still can't help but to feel so jumpy over it~ Kyaaaaaa~ Hyukjaeeeeeee~ >///< And I guess this chapter will be the favourite chapter of all for you guys right...?
