Hyukjae then felt a smile creeping on his face. He felt relieved and suddenly, all the burdens of Hyun being attached were all gone. ‘You could’ve hid your happiness a little better than that.’ Donghae teased as he saw a smile on Hyukjae’s face for a minute before it was wiped off completely.
Hyukjae just rolled his eyes in response and ignored his comment while continue drinking his ice chocolate. ‘So… How have you been? Not that I’m concerned though. I’m asking for the sake of Hyun.’ Donghae clarified before Hyukjae could jump into any conclusion. ‘Well, I’m just… being me.’ He simply replied, not wanting to give any information. But Donghae wasn’t going to give up this easily. ‘Where have you gone to though?’ Donghae asked again.
‘I’ve been anywhere near Hyun, just watching her and ensuring that she wouldn’t do anything silly to end her life.’ He replied, surprising Donghae because he was with Hyun most of the time but he didn’t manage to see Hyukjae, not even his shadow, not even sensing his presence.
‘You’ve always been near her…? But why—’ Donghae asked in uncertainty before Hyukjae decided to abruptly cut him off. ‘Why didn’t you know? Because I was standing at quite a distance away and amongst the crowd. Why didn’t I show up? Because I didn’t want Hyun to see me.’ Hyukjae simply answered all the questions that Donghae wanted to ask and continued, narrowing his eyes, ‘But seriously, do you have to hold her hand like that every single time?’
Donghae smirked as he sensed a sour feeling brewing inside Hyukjae. He raised one of his eyebrows and said smugly, ‘I have Hyun to my own and well, she’s happy by the way I treat her! Didn’t you see how she didn’t pull her hand away from mine?’ Hyuk rolled his eyes and diverted his attention to outside the café, ‘That’s because she’s treating you like her sister.’ He retorted, even thought he actually did saw how comfortable Hyun is with Donghae and couldn’t help but to admit that he did actually felt jealous.
‘How has Hyunnie been doing?’ Hyukjae asked, looking back at Donghae again. Donghae chuckled sadly, ‘Thanks to you, she has never been this worst.’ Hyukjae was taken aback by his reply because he was certainly expecting a positive answer instead of this. He frowned and asked worriedly, ‘Why? But… she seemed to be doing fine.’ Donghae shook his head, ‘Don’t you know her well enough? I mean, she is doing fine, but they are just pretence that she has been putting up to stop people from worrying about her.’
He paused before continuing, ‘Well… She has been fine, being back to her normal self but she hasn’t really been smiling genuinely, those are fake smiles… Sometimes when I glanced over at her in class, she put on such a melancholy expression being lost in her thoughts that it broke my heart so much… She doesn’t even hang out after school anymore and just go straight home, burying her head into books. Today is just some rare occasion that she agreed on hanging out after school.’ Donghae explained.
‘She’s… this bad?’ Hyukjae said it as if asking himself rather than referring this question to Donghae but he simply nodded in response. ‘Seriously, Hyukjae-ssi…’ Donghae called his name and made Hyukjae held his head up to look at him. He continued, ‘…You love Hyun, don’t you? Otherwise, why do you care about her this much? Why would you get jealous when a guy gets near her?’ Hyukjae just looked at him. He didn’t know what to answer him because Hyun is the only one that knows about his past. He just stared at him.
Donghae then gave up on waiting for his reply and said, ‘If it helps, Hyun might be leaving Seoul very soon—’ Before he could even finish, Hyukjae cut him off by exclaiming with eyes widened in surprised, ‘What?! Why?!’ Donghae rolled his eyes in annoyance and said, ‘Can’t you even let me finish?!’ making Hyukjae to keep his mouth shut before he continued.
‘She’s heading over to New York to forget everything here and take New York Fashion Academy as an excuse…’
Hello readers!!! ^-^ It's a special day yesterday and I manged to celebrate it with my E.L.F. friends in Tokyo here!!! :D We went to buy a cake and celebrated it~ :3 How did you guys celebrate it?? Share with me! (^(oo)^) So anyway, Happy 6th anniversaary Super Junior oppars~ I might not be there with you guys from the start, but I'll be right there till the end together with you all. I love you all sfm ;~~; Even though it might be a long time, but I promise to wait for 6jib to be released because Jungsoo oppar promised us ><
