Watchful eyes

Can you keep a secret?

"Has something been going on recently?"

Yixing hated it when Luhan began asking questions. Unless they were answered, he would keep on asking until he got an answer or butted in and found out for himself.

"Whatever makes you think that?" Yixing asked looking up to see Luhan shrugged his shoulders
"Lately you've been looking stressed and uptight. Not to mention the bags under your eyes" he replied, making Yixing frown as he checked his reflection before tutting.

"They're not that bad" he said, nudging Luhan
"But you don't deny that you are looking rough" Luhan said as Yixing sighed.

"I'm fine Lu, really! I think I've been working too much and it's finally caught up on me, that's all" he replied, shooting the boy a smile and quickly getting back to work before more questions could be asked. He just hoped that Luhan's curiosity soon died down and he asked no more questions. Thank goodness he had a day off tomorrow!

With Yixing away at work, and having no one else to annoy or tease, Yifan was bored. Very bored for that matter. Jeez, he got more action when he was in prison compared to being free.

Since arriving in Yixing's apartment, he had scoured every corner of it from top to bottom. Laughing at every silly picture Yixing had on offer, going through already half of the DVD collection that Yixing had owned. The only interesting thing that had happened so far today was that the post had arrived with a post card from a friend in Tokyo, alongside a phone call from Yixing's mum which he left to go to voicemail.

Besides that, there was nothing else to do! He was bored out of his mind and felt that he was going to die of boredom if he didn't do something anytime soon... Yixing wouldn't be that angry if he just took a tiny walk outside, right? After all, Yixing did give him a copy of the key to the apartment. That was just inviting Yifan to go outside so long as he locked up and came back safely.

It wasn't as if Yixing was his mum! And Yifan was older than him, taller than him and stronger than him! Up until recently Yixing actually feared him. Yeah. Yifan could do what he wanted to do! Nobody was there to stop him and nobody could stop him thank you very much!

"Thank God" Luhan said, sighing in relief as the lunchtime rush passed by. With customers coming into the bakery dwindling down he had finally earned himself a much needed lunch break where he could eat and quickly finish an essay... or two, that had to be done by his class this evening.

"How you're passing this class I'll never know" Yixing said watching as Luhan chucked his lunch onto the table in front of him, pulled his laptop out and got quick to setting up
"I ask myself that everyday. Now if you're done talking to me please leave before you distract me even further" he replied as Yixing shook his head and began to clean some tables.

Yixing had to pause and blink when he first thought he saw a blonde mass of hair pass by the shop. It was probably his imagination, yeah, he was so occupied with Yifan right now that he was probably having hallucinations about him.

Then Yixing's eyes landed on the blonde mass of hair across the road once again and he was now certain that Yifan was out of the apartment and walking around like a lost fool right in front of him.

"I-I'll be right back" he said to his co-worker not waiting for a response as he shot out of the bakery, not even sparing the road and oncoming traffic a glance as he ran across the road and grabbed onto Yifan's arm, spinning him around.

"What the hell are you doing?" he asked angrily
"What does it look like? I got extremely bored therefore I decided to come out for a walk, take in some sightseeing" Yifan replied, dodging the hit Yixing threw at him.

"Are you crazy? No, the correct question is are you stupid? Seriously Yifan! You can't go walking around like this in case someone realises you! That and the fact that so far you seem to be the only bloody blonde I've seen walking around Beijing" he said watching Yifan roll his eyes.

"And do you think that standing in the middle of the road and shouting at me is going to help?" he asked, the corners of his mouth turning up slightly when Yixing groaned and dragged him to somewhere less crowded before jabbing a finger into Yifan's chest.

"You are going to go home right now. The next time you decide to take a walk somewhere, pick an area that's less crowded, common sense" and this time Yifan is too slow to dodge the hit he gets at the back of his head, grumbling to himself as he walks away.

Making sure that Yifan was indeed going the correct way, Yixing made his way back to the bakery. This time pausing to check the road before he crossed, unaware of the pair of eyes that had been watching the scene unfold in front of them, eyes trailing over to where Yixing was going.

"Yixing cover the till whist I check this over for this Luhan" the co-worker said as soon as Yixing stepped back into the bakery. Catching his breath, Yixing shot out a reply and made his way to the till, rubbing his temple. Yifan was going to seriously putting him on the brink of a meltdown, just how long did he plan on hiding in Yixing's apartment anyway?

"I'll just take this" came a voice as a drink was placed onto the counter. Looking up, Yixing recognised the person as the tourist from a few days ago. Something about him was a bit off though, what it was... Yixing couldn't quite point that out.

"H-how are you enjoying your visit to Beijing so far?" he asked, taking the money
"Oh it's great" the guy replied, instantly cheering up "Lot's more here to see compared to where I live" he added.

"Which part of China have you come from?" Yixing asked
"Guangdong" the guy replied as Yixing raised an eyebrow, wasn't that where Kris was originally from? That could wait until later, in the meantime Yixing had to keep up an appearance and with a smile handed the change over to the guy.

"Thank you uh" the guy began leaning over to look at the nametag
"Oh! Yixing"
"Pleasure, Yixing" and with that exited the bakery once again.

So, new character.

What's their role? What's their name? Why have they travelled so far to Beijing? All shall be revealed in later chapters my dear readers. All shall be revealed...

As for Luhan, he'll get his moment to shine soon. Trust me it'll be quite hilarious!

Until then!!

(distance from Guangdong to Beijing for anyone who is interested)
