Yifan was a full year older than Yixing. When Yifan first began hiding in his house, that was when Yixing began his research. From what he found out, Yifan had been sentenced to life in prison in 2008 after being found at the scene of the murder of a couple in Guangzhou. He was only a week shy of turning eighteen and not yet being an adult, was spared the death penalty. 

That meant he had spent over six years of his life in prison. Being just seventeen when he was sentenced, he would have been one of the youngest convicts in the place with some of the most dangerous people in the country who were much older than him. 

With that fact taken into account, Yixing had always expected Yifan to be so different to who he actually was. Being in jail all that time, he should have toughened up, he should have been rutheless and not give a damn about what happened or who he hurt. Heck, he murdered a couple! He should have been one of the most dangerous men in the country! 

But each and every time he always managed to find some way in surprising Yixing. From having the gun being empty this whole time to ditting there in complete silence in the car. Yep, Yifan was always surprising Yixing... and it confused him to high hell! 

Yifan is meant to be in his twenties. Well and truly into adulthood. Yet how he acted was that like a child; not doing as he was told, slouching instead of sitting properly. Heck, he even watched television shows that were directed at children and teenagers. In the time he had spent in Yixing's so far, Yifan had yet to watch something that was aimed at adults like he.

"Well how old was he when he was sentenced?" Luhan asked. Since finding out, Luhan had always been asking questions about how Yixing was, what Yifan was doing and to see if everything was alright overall. 

"He was a week off being eighteen" Yixing replied quietly as Luhan paused to think 
"See in my mind, if I got thrown into jail at seventeen I would have tried to grow up a lot quicker in order to deal with other inmates, you know?" he asked but Yixing shook his head. 

"What I'm trying to say is that with Yifan being a week off eighteen, they would have thrown him into jail with the big dogs instead of being with other seventeen year olds. They're rough in jails! So he needed to grow up and act tough himself if he was going to survive! Does that make sense?". 

"Kind of... but what doesn't make sense is that instead of doing that, he does the complete opposite! Whilst sometimes it infuriates me, it also confuses me to no end" 

Yixing would have liked to have continued this conversation, after all it was nice speaking to someone and getting everything off of his chest, but with the lunch rush hour looming there wasno time to sit around and gossip! Customers had to be served and business had to soar, there was no time to sit and leave customers unsatisfied. This would bother Yixing just as much as Yifan did! 

But upon seeing the next customer who had to be served, Yixing didn't really feel like being at the till anymore 

"Hey Luhan can you come over here and take care of this customer? I need to check the stock count at back"

"I told you so"

The newest sentence to be added to the list of things Wu Yifan hates the most 

Yes he should have listened to Yixing and yes he should have gone under the shelter when told to, but the rain... it just felt so nice on him and he just wanted to savour the moment. 

He had no regrets of staying out in the rain at all! It was when he was back in Yixing's apartment, on the sofa in a wifebeater and tracksuit bottoms shivering, sneezing... yeah, he was beginning to regret it. 

"How about next time when I tell you to get under the shelter you actually do as you're told?" Yixing suggested, walking in with blankets to wrap around Yifan 
"Yeah, yeah whatever" Yifan grumbled back, snatching the blankets so he could get himself warm. Not before Yixing noticed the scar on his shoulder. 

"How'd you get that?" he asked as Yifan smiled sadly and waved the question away 
"Wouldn't you like to know". 

Which is why since then he's been sat on the sofa, tissues strewn about him and wrapped up in blankets watching whatever the television had to offer for him. Absolutely nothing by the looks of things. Even the programmes on the children's channels were proving to be useless! Freedom from jail was proving to be a lot more boring than what Yifan had originally anticipated. 

At least it gave him the chance to properly look around the apartment. In the time he had been hiding there, he hadn't really paid attention to the small details. Or even the larger and most obvious- it was a case of just having them pass by and not really pay attention to them. With boredom came the chance for Yifan to finally have a good look. 

He was finally able to take notice of the colour of Yixing's living room, appreciate how comfortable the sofa really was, laugh at all the random pictures that Yixing had dotted aorund the place. There was some of him with his friends, at his school graduation and even outside some tourist attraction. A random array indeed.

"" Yifan whispered to himself when he heard someone knocking on the door, jumping up out of the seat and turning the television off. 

"Yixing, Yixing open up" came a male's voice, knocking a few times before it stopped. For a moment there, Yifan thought he was in the clearing, only to jump back in fright and knock over something of Yixing's when he saw someone look into the apartment. 

"" Yifan muttered, hopping on one foot when he stepped on a broken piece and it began to bleed, hopping over to the corner and praying that the person didn't see him, or hear him for that matter, before they left.

So, we're slowly getting there in finding out what happened with Yifan and all that gibber gabber... if I spelt that correctly... 

The next... two chapters I believe will be leading on from this one and I have it all planned out and just... I think they'll be great chapters!
