Creepy

Can you keep a secret?

Yixing's parents never came back to the apartment again after that incident. Yixing hoped that he never had to see them again. Since the day Yifan had shut the door in their faces, Yixing had been in such a downer; he refused to go see anyone, talk to anyone, for the first time since starting his job he was calling in for 'sick' days!

Yixing just shut himself away from the world and wanted to be left alone. His sudden change in attitude prompted his co-workers and friends alike around him to become worried. Whilst all it took was a phone call and for Yixing to reassure that he was fine to calm most people, for Luhan that was no use.

The others didn't know that Yixing was hiding Yifan in his house. What if Yifan had done something to him and that was the reason he avoided coming to work? What if Yifan was ordering him to be his slave or something like that? What if Yifan was planning to kill Yixing?

Okay

Maybe his thoughts were becoming ridiculous, but Luhan did have every right to worry after all! If Yifan hadn't been in work that day, or maybe if he had been later, then he would have never known about the whole situation Yixing had gotten himself into. Perhaps then the phone call would have been enough to stop him from worrying so much.

But nope. That was not enough for him and Yixing could reassure him all he wanted in order to stop Luhan from coming over to his apartment, but Luhan was stubborn and no six foot, escaped convict was going to stop him!

The knocking had to stop eventually

Surely the person would come to the conclusion that nobody was going to answer the door anytime soon

"Somebody shut them up" Yixing shouted out loud, burying himself in his blankets and left Yifan to open the do-

Crap

Yifan had answered the freaking door. Yifan was chatting to the person knocking on the door... and the person sounded panicked, almost shouting at Yifan.

Cue Yixing jumping out of bed and running out his bedroom, straight into the hallway to see Luhan and Yifan arguing with each other over something
"What the hell is going on?" he asked, shutting the two of them up before Luhan pushed Yifan to the side and ran forward to Yixing.

"Luhan" Yixing muttered, sighing as the boy checked him over to see if anything had happened to him
"You honestly think I would do something to him?" Yifan asked, Luhan only stopping his check of Yixing when he was pushed away, casting him a look.

"Yes I would" he replied making Yixing sigh
"There's nothing wrong with me. My parents came to visit that's all" he explained.

"Thank goodness!" Luhan exclaimed, frowning when he saw the other two staring at him
"What? You randomly stopped showing up to work, only spoke to people when they called you... I had every right to be worried!"

"Well my parents turned up and put me in a downer and I just wanted to be left alone for a while, that's all" Yixing said
"And he didn't try to hurt you?" Luhan asked, sticking a thumb in the direction of Yifan.

"Of course I didn't!" Yifan exclaimed but Luhan didn't really care, he needed to hear it from Yixing himself
"I'm fine Lu, really. Besides, aren't you suppose to be at work?" Yixing asked.

"My shift doesn't start yet so I'm using this time to come check on you" Luhan replied, Yixing continuously nodding his head before he turned around and walked towards the bathroom
"I think I'll go to work today. Luhan, wait for me to finish showering and getting ready. Yifan.... just do whatever you want" he called back, leaving the two there to size each other up and stand there in prolonged silence.

~

Going back to work was actually the best thing Yixing had probably decided to do. With having to serve customers all day and constantly be on his feet, it proved to be the perfect distraction in forgetting about his parents and what had happened on that day.

"What's with the guy sat in the corner? He's been there all day" Luhan muttered, returning with empty cups and empty plates
"I'm not the only one then" Yixing replied as Luhan shook his head and sighed.

"We cant kick him out or anything. The boss said that as long as he pays for stuff and doesn't just sit there then we cant do anything to him to make him leave" he said, heading off to the back whilst Yixing manned the till.

Since arriving at lunch, the guy situated in the corner of the bakery had remained there since. Every so often he would come up, place a new order and then return to the space he had been occupying previously. That shouldn't have bothered Yixing so much. After all, he had more things to worry about in his life. For some reason though, he just couldn't shake the feeling away from him.

It was as though the guy had stayed in the bakery the whole day just to watch Yixing. That everywhere Yixing went, the guy would follow him with his eyes. Whenever Yixing checked to see if the guy was still there, he would be staring straight back. If the two of them made eye contact, the guy would only grin and it was always Yixing who would break the contact first.

Yixing could only conclude that the guy was creepy. Very creepy for that matter and wished that he would just leave already so Yixing could get back to work without having to worry anymore.

~

By closing time that evening, Yixing was the only one left. He had insisted on making sure that everything was clean, checked and locked prperly before leaving himself.

Having done this many times, the boss could leave knowing they had left the bakery in good hands. Luhan just left without a second thought, a stoeln cupcake or two hidden in his coat pocket as was usual.

"That boy is going to get fat with all the food he takes with him" Yixing muttered to himself, giving the place one last check before exiting out the back and locking the place up for tomorrow morning.

Walking back to his car, Yixing suddenly felt uneasy. It was like somebody was watching him, or following him, and yet when he turned around there was nobody there. Of course the feeling lingered, so much so that Yixing found himself walking faster and faster until he was jogging back to the car, quickly unlocking it and throwing himself into the car before driving away.

He should have felt safe in his car. But with the feeling that someone had been watching him on his way to the car, he was becoming increasingly paranoid that someone may have now been following him as he was driving!

As soon as he pulled up into the apartment car park, he was out of there and up to his house before anyone could even so much as shout a hello to him. Slamming the door shut and panting against it as he fumbled to lock it, no wonder Yifan sat there frowning at him thinking that Yixing was slowly beginning to lose it...
