"Just keep calm Yixing, just keep calm"

Yet no matter how many times he muttered the sentence to himself, Yixing could not remain calm. The first few seconds after seeing that shadow, he thought it was just his imagination; perhaps it was a lack of sleep from the previous night and as a result he's now seeing things. Or maybe it was because he listened to that stupid radio announcement about that escaped murderer before he left this morning. 

He wasn't imagining it though. Yixing could clearly see the shadow, hear the clattering of whoever it was trying to hide. What did he do now? What if he called the police and before they arrived the person did something to Yixing? What if the person held him at knifepoint and forced him to do stuff? 

Now he was just being silly. 

First of all, he had to try and calm himself down as much as he possibly could. Panicking was not going to get him anywhere and he knew it. He had to calm himself down, and then think of what he could do next- if anything could be done! 

Well... he could try to stop the person from escaping. He could put them, what was it called? Ah yes, he could put them under citizen's arrest and keep them there until the police arrives and properly arrested them. Yes, that could work. 

But how the hell was he going to go in there and stop an individual who, quite obviously, broke into the place and hid there throughout the night? If they could break into the place they could do so much more! Yixing was terrified of what could possibly happen to him. He had to be brave though! The safety of others who would be stepping into this place throughout the day was in danger. He had to do something! 

And so he did... with a little hesitation and grabbing the nearest thing to him to use a weapon when he stepped into the room. He could do this! 

"I-I know you're in here!" he called out, voice shaking slightly 
"Come out! I'm not dumb I-I saw you" still nothing. Yixing was not crazy though, he knew what he saw and what he saw was someone hiding themselves in the room. 

"You better come out. I'm calling the police! They'll be on their way soon!" 

He hated being in situations like these by himself. If something happened, he wouldn't have anyone to help him or back him up. He especially hated being by himself because he constantly felt like he was being watched, that every move he took was being scrutinised, judged. 

It came as a huge surprise for Yixing when he saw someone leap up from their hiding place and tried to run out of the door and into the entrance of the shop. By some miracle Yixing found himself quicker, being able to stand in front of the door and blocking their path. 

"Stay there!" he shrieked, holding the object out in front of him 
"You're going to try and stop me with a wooden spoon?" the person replied, raising an eyebrow. 

"W-well it's stopping you, isn't it?" where had this bravery come from all of a sudden? 

"Move" the person said with a sigh 
"N-no! You think I'm going to let you go after you broke into my shop?" Yixing asked, watching the person mutter something to themselves before they reached behind them and pulled out a gun. 

"I said" they began, pinning Yixing up against the wall and holding it against his neck 
"Move" and just like that, Yixing dropped the spoon and quickly began fearing for his life. 

Taking in his appearance, besides the wide eyes and look of absolute fear on his face, Yixing was quite cute. Certainly cuter than any other person the individual in front of him had come across before. 

"Don't worry, I won't hurt you" they said, gently running the gun up and down Yixing's neck 
"I mean who would hurt you anyway? You're so pretty". 

"W-well... w-w-why are you holding t-the gun u-up then?" Yixing asked 
"You got in my way. I need to get out of here and get as far away. You're in my way and I'm getting you out of my way" the person replied, easing the pressure they were exerting onto Yixing. 

"Who are you trying to... trying to hide from?" Yixing asked 
"Everyone" the person replied, grinning at just how silly Yixing looked right now. 

It was true what they had said though; they wouldn't hurt Yixing. Doesn't mean they were going to leave anytime soon, they were enjoying this too much; wanting to see how far they could push Yixing before he finally cracked. 

"Yoohoo I'm he- Yixing, you there?" came a voice, making said guy and the individual currently manhandling him pause. 

"Who's that?" the individual asked 
"Co-worker" Yixing replied straight away. 

"Yixing?"
"Tell them you'll be out in a minute" the individual whispered 
"I-I'll be out in a sec! Just get everything ready for opening" Yixing called back 
"Alright then". 

Taking a quick peek out into the bakery, making sure they wouldn't be seen, the individual turned their attention back to Yixing, finally letting go of him. 

"Hide me" 
"What?"
"You heard me, hide me. Make sure nobody see's me" the individual replied. 

Well where the heck was Yixing meant to hide them? 

"Come on!" 
"Alright, alright" and with that, grabbed the individual and shoved them into the storage room nearby. That would have to do for now!

Trying to work in a bakery when business is bustling is hard enough. Trying to work in a bakery when business is bustling and there is an individual with a gun hiding out back is even harder! 

How Yixing had managed to concentrate and not muck anything up so far was beyond him, what with the reminder constantly nagging at the back of him mind. It was only made worse with Luhan constantly bugging him and asking him if anything was wrong. 

Ah Luhan. Unlike the other employees in the bakery who worked full time, he was only there part time. He only worked in the bakery because he needed a job to earn extra money outside of university. Though a he was a good worker, he did have the consistency to be just that tad bit annoying, scratch that, very annoying! 

"Luhan can you go into the storage room and bring me some sugar please?" the boss asked. Crap. 

"I-I'll do it!" Yixing piped up, voice cracking slightly 
"You sure I mean you look a bit bu-"
"It's fine! Luhan can take over for me in the meantime" Yixing interjected and ran out back before somebody stopped him. 

It was bad enough he was hiding someone in there. Imagine what would happen if someone walked in and found them? It would cause utter chaos! 

"Have you come here to let me out?" they asked when the door opened to reveal Yixing 
"No, I came in here to save your and stop someone else coming in and seeing you" Yixing replied. 

"Clever boy. Although you don't need to worry about me, I can hide myself perfectly well" 
"I find that easy to be- have you been eating all of these chocolate sprinkles?" he asked, watching the individual shrug their shoulders. 

"What? You stay in here around sweet food you get kinda hungry after a while" they replied making Yixing scoff as he grabbed whatever it was he came for originally and left without saying anything else. Today was going to be indeed a long day. 

I enjoyed writing this chapter much more than I should have... ah well!
