Today was finally the day! The day for Yixing to pack everything up and move onto the next chapter in his life. So far, Yixing's life had been a constant circle of nothing new and boredom. A life where he just wanted to get away and escape the wrath of his parents, move freely without have to worry about his past and look forward only to the future. Then Yifan came along and Yixing no longer had to keep begging for something interesting to happen in his life, he was taken on a huge rollercoaster of a ride! 

When the truth was finally revealed to the court, nobody could argue that Yifan was not the innocent one in all of this- they would have to be an idiot to deny that Guo Ling was the non-guilty one in all of this! It went crazy when the admission slipped out of his mouth and the judge had a hard time in trying to bring order to the place before it go too out of control.

Yixing never dwelled on the memory for too long. At the time, he felt invincible, unstoppable and so happy that he was able to catch the guy out. Admist the chaos, all he wanted was to be reunited with Yifan and help him to begin a life free from prison, where he no longer had to worry about going back to that jail ever again, never having to worry about being accussed of something he didn't do. 

"We should go on a holiday" Yixing piped up two evening's ago, stopping Yifan from packing anymore of Yixing's belongings into the various boxes strewn across the room 

"I think that would be quite difficult when we've spent most of the money between the two of us getting everything sorted for our move" he replied. 

"I know, which is why I've fully thought about this" Yixing said, watching Yifan raise an eyebrow 
"We have some money left, and I still have a car which is in pretty good shape. By the time we arrive in Hong Kong all of our stuff will be there waiting... how about we delay the move by going on a road trip?" he suggested. 

"A road trip?" 
"A road trip. We can travel down to Shanghai for a day or two, go visit my grandparents and show you around my hometown, you can even show me around Guangdong before we travel into Hong Kong" Yixing suggested, watching to see if Yifan's expression changed. 

"A road trip sounds great... but I don't think my long legs could take it if we slept in the car every night" he finally said, grinning when Yixing began laughing 
"No you idiot! We have enough money on us to rent out cheap hostles and bed and breakfasts, you're legs will remain perfectly intact" 

And just like that, the two of them had decided that maybe they didn't have to move to Hong Kong just yet. After everything that happened to them previously... maybe they did deserve some sort of holiday and finally get to themselves!

"That should be the last of them" Yifan said, loading the last of the bags into the boot of the car and shutting it before him. Towards the side of the car, Yixing was stood there saying his goodbyes to Luhan who, upon meeting his friend at the front of the apartment, had pulled him into a hug he didn't plan on letting go of any time soon. 

"Now you two be careful out there! Don't want you getting into anymore touble do we?" as Luhan finally released him and Yixing sent a nudge his way 
"And you better make sure you keep up with your work from uni, don't want you dropping out when you've come this far already" he replied as Luhan laughed slightly and nodded his head. 

"Trust me I won't be giving up anytime soon, especially when there's a year to spend studying in Australia on offer" and the two stood in silence again, Yifan watching the two of them and feeling like he was ruining the moment. 

"I'll just go check to see if we left anything behind by mistake" and quickly made his way back inside, leaving the other two shrouded in silence. 

"GIve me a call when you've settled down in Hong Kong, I'll come visit the two of you" Luhan said softly 
"And make sure you send me postcards from wherever you visit" he added as Yixing laughed and nodded his head. 

"You make sure you send me a postcard and gifts from Australia and then we're even" and he barely finished the sentence before he was pulled back into another hug by the younger. 

With the hug finally being broken and the last of the goodbyes exchanged between them- to which Luhan didn't cry, he sweared on it- it was finally time for Yixing and Yifan to get going. Finally the day came where they could restart their lives. The beginning of the journey was spent with conversations about what they would do at certain stops of their road trip, where they would go and what they would do, stopping for the ocassional break or two. 

When nothing else could be said between the two of them, they sat in silence listening to the radio. Neither of them really minded the silence, it was actually quite calming for both of them. 

"We should be there soon" Yixing piped up, frowning when Yifan didn't answer him 
"Yifan?" he called out, stopping at a red light to check to see if the guy was alright. Looking over, the feeling quickly diminished when he saw the guy sleeping soundly next to him. 

As he slept, Yifan finally felt as though everything was going to be alright from now on. He was once again a free man and now he continue to live his life as he had done previously. The only difference being that this time he would have Yixing by his side throughout. 

Ah yes, for the first time in a very long time, everything in Yifan's life felt right...
