Blow up

Can you keep a secret?

Yixing was never one to lose his temper or let anything put him in the foulest of moods. Most of the time he was one to hold his tongue, keep it all in and never reveal his true emotions. To his co-workers and others around him he was always calm, always the one to offer advice and stop arguments before they progressed. To them, Yixing was the peace keeper.

But, as everyone knows, one can only be calm for a certain amount of time. At some point, they're going to blow. It had been coming for Yixing since having Yifan stay with him; the constant arguing and general stress of hiding a criminal in his house was beginning to take its toll on him. Every time that Yifan did something to infuriate him, Yixing could feel the anger bubble up in him, but always managed to control himself- he wanted to be the bigger person in this after all.

Then his day had to be ruined with a certain customer coming into the bakery, not leaving until they were definitely sure that Yixing was not going to acknowledge their prescence in the slightest. His day was about to get even worse when he returned that evening to find broken pieces of his vase stacked up on top of each other on the floor with blood patched leading to the bathroom.

"What the hell?" Yixing asked out loud, running over to what use to be his vase. For a moment he just sat there staring at his loss; his grandmother had bought it for him and whilst it wasn't the best looking of vase's out there, he still cherished it! Then his attention was diverted to the blood patches on the floor.

"Yifan, what the hell is going on here?" he shouted out, standing up and running over to the bathroom
"What does it look like? I knocked your vase over, stepped on a broken piece and cut my foot" Yifan replied moodily, replacing the blood soaked tissue with another piece.

"Couldn't you have tried to have been more careful? My grandmother bought me that vvase!" Yixing exclaimed, being met with Yifan glaring at him
"Well how about the next time you're hiding in someone's house and a stranger pokes their head in the window, you try hiding at the last second and tell me if you don't knock anything over" turning his attention back to his cut.

"Now where are the plasters around here?" he asked
"W-wait somebody came around?" Yixing asked, making Yifan sigh.

"Plasters first, questions later" he said
"You don't have to be so moody, I'm only asking a question" Yixing muttered, making Yifan scoff.

"Oh please! If anything you've been the moody one! From the moment I arrived you've always been picking arguments with me"
"Yes because you never do anything I say!" Yixing shouted back, smacking his hand down onto the bathroom sink. Yifan was surprised when Yixing didn't once flinch at the pain.

"I tell you to stay inside, you go out for walks instead. I tell you to come in away from the rain and you stay out and catch a cold instead. I tell you to stay in the car and instead you walk into the bakery and have Luhan find out! You never pay attention and you act just like a child"

"Hey! Don't compare me to a child" Yifan exclaimed
"Well for someone who is supposed to a convicted murderer you act like someone ten years ing younger" Yixing replied.

"Don't bring that up" Yifan replied, his gaze darkening
"Well it's true! You're meant to be this big guy who goes killing people and yet you act like someone who doesn't know left from right" Yixing said.

"Stop bringing up the murder and give me some plasters" Yifan replied, chucking the used tissue away whilst Yixing stood there frowning
"Why are you so con-"
"Look will you just drop it and give me some ing plasters so I can go stop the bleeding!" Yifan yelled, the two of them descending into silence as Yixing went to the drawer next to the sink, fumbled some stuff around and pulled out a box of plasters.

"Here" he muttered, chucking the box to Yifan before someone knocked on the door.

"I'll answer the door and you will go hide in your room. Don't come out until the person is gone" he added, leaving Yifan there as the knocking continued
"I'll be there in a moment!".

Quickly checking his reflection, Yixing had to try and make himself look presentable. He didn't want to look like someone who had just been in an argument and was quite shaken up because of how loud Yifan was when he had shouted at him.

Taking a deep breath in, Yixing ran a hand through his hair and finally opened the door. Not many people knew where he lived so it was rare that he had a visitor rather than just meeting with them somewhere in the city. But these guests... how they found out where he lived is something Yixing wanted to find out more than anything!

"Hello Yixing"
"M-mum? Dad?"

Ooohhh I can't wait until the next chapter!!
