"A-am I interrupting something here?" 

Yixing hoped and prayed that Luhan hadn't been listening to or watching the news lately. He hoped that Luhan thought Yifan was his boyfriend and they were going through some lovers quarrel. He could only watch though as Luhan's gaze went front Yixing and fell on Yifan, he himself watching Luhan like a hawk. 

"Do I recognise you from somewhere?" Luhan asked, facial expression turning into a frown as he continued to study Yifan over. He was sure that he had recognised the guy from somewhere. Perhaps he was some foreign model that Yixing knew? Perhaps someone who loved their dye their hair obscene colours? No that wasn't it...

"Luhan-" Yixing began but was cut off when realisation had finally smacked Luhan in the face. Upon seeing his eyes widen, finger point towards Yifan and mouth open, Yixing was quick to smack his hand over Luhan's mouth and drag him out back. 

"What the hell Yixing?" the latter shrieked once Yixing had let him go 
"Look Luhan I know you're shocked right now and probably think this is the weirdest thing out there bu-" 

"Oh it's not weird, not weird at all" Luhan interrupted, turning to see Yifan standing in the doorway before pointing and whipping his head back to Yixing 
"Why the hell are you with the guy who escape from prison?" he asked. 

"W-well... funny story actually" Yixing replied 
"Funny? Funny! This is funny? Yixing, he is a convicted murderer and you're with him like it's the most casual thing on this planet!" Luhan shouted back. 

"Oh please, if anything this is the weirdest situation either of us have ever found ourselves in" Yifan piped up, earning a glare from the other two 
"Yifan go wait in the car please" and not wanting to be one to argue in this current situation, Yifan silently exited the bakery and went to safety of the car. 

"Yixing, what the hell is going on?" Luhan asked once Yifan had left the two of them alone. 

Well... this was most certainly a situation Yixing never wanted to find himself in. He wanted to lie to Luhan and tell him it was nothing, but the guy already knew who Yifan was and that he was a convicted murderer. How the hell was going to explain this? 

"I-it's a long and confusing story" Yixing replied 
"But you're keeping Wu Yifan, the escaped murderer, in hiding! What the hell?" Luhan asked, raising his voice and Yixing was sure to quickly shush him before they attracted attention. 

"L-look, I know this is something difficult and quite frankly the weirdest possible thing that could happen... b-but if you let me explain then hopefully things will make sense" Yixing replied, taking in a deep breath. 

"Can... can you keep a secret?" he asked, the question throwing Luhan completely. 

"W-what?"
"I said, can you keep a secret?" Yixing asked again, waiting for Luhan to nod before he began to try and tell him everything that had happened so far. If he could make sense of it himself that is.

This was now becoming a much more bigger issue than it already was. It was now beginning to take its toll on Yixing. With one person now knowing what was going on behind closed doors, how long would it be until others started finding out? 

No 

He was doing it again! Worrying about things that had yet to happen! He could trust Luhan couldn't he? Heck, it wasn't asy in convincing the guy to keep it a secret and not go to the police. The only way Yixing stopped him was the promise that Yifan hadn't hurt him and Yixing wouldn't let him do so in any way. With a promise that Yixing would come to Luhan if anything happened he, reluctantly, promised to keep everything a secret. He had never seen Yifan and didn't know that Yixing was hiding him. 

"If you keep day dreaming like this we'll never get past this red light" came Yifan's voice, snapping Yixing out his trance to beeping cars behind him and curses from the other drivers before speeding ahead. 

"Where exactly are you taking me?" Yifan asked 
"Somewhere I can also relax and forget about everything for a while" Yixing replied, hearing nothing else from the guy in the back and instead the sound of the window opening. 

For most of the journey Yifan just sat there with the window open. Every so often he would stick his hand out and let the wind run through the gaps between his fingers. Other times he would sit there with his eyes closed and let the wind run into the car and hit him. Yixing watched from the front with a frown permanently fixed on his face. 

"Ah crap" he muttered, turning on the windscreen wipers when he saw the first droplets of rain
"You might want to close the window now" he called out to the back, but Yifan paid no attention to him.

Yixing was quick to discover that Yifan was quite peculiar. Especially in how he acted. No matter what he was told to do, he didn't do it. He was like a little child not paying attention to their parents. Instead of doing wat Yixing asked him to do, he kept the window open, not minding in the slightest when the rain began trickling in and hitting him on the face. He actually quite liked it when he stuck his hand out the window and had the rain hit it. 

The whole time Yixing had been watching him, deciding between whether to leave Yifan to it or tell him to close the window before he got the back seats too wet. Eventually though Yifan finally retracted his hand and closed the window, but still kept his eyes on the window and watching the rain trickle down. 

"Hm. Weirdo" 

I was actually meant to update this a few days ago... oops...

Ah well!

I like this chapter! The beginning where Luhan sussed out who Yifan was kind of reminds me of the episode of Friends where Joey figures out that Monica and Chandler are dating

Like that!! I love it!!
