Body aching, head spinning, vision blurring, it was safe to say that when Yixing woke up he could sense that something was wrong. He was in his bedrooom, that much he could tell and he could hear someone moving around him. 

Turning his head, he could see Yifan stop to stare at him, reaching out and gently rubbing ointment onto a bruise that had formed on Yixing's cheek
"I never thought you would be the type of guy who went out and got into fights" he said and Yixing wasn't sure if Yifan said that in attempt to cheer him up, but he did manage to crack a smile. 

"What happened?" he asked, Yifan helping him to sit up  
"You collapsed through the door, pretty banged up for that matter. I called Luhan over and when he saw you lying here in bed he started freaking out thinking I did it. Your neighbour heard the commotion and came rushing over to see what was going on. Did you know that she is a former nurse? Recently retired" Yifan began. 

"I hid away whilst she tended to you, telling Luhan what he had to do and relayed that all to me. He's coming back in an hour just before your neighbour comes back over to see if you need hospital treatment". 

All of this happened whilst Yixing laid their unconscious in bed? Yikes. 

"What happened to you?" Yifan asked 
"I... I don't remember. All I remember is walking out from work, thinking someone was following me and then I was pushed up against a wall" Yixing replied. 

"That's it?" Yifan asked 
"And collapsing into the apartment. Everything else in between it's just... gone" wincing slightly when he moved his arm. 

If Yixing wasn't so concerned with how bad he looked or how much he was hurting right now, he would actually tease Yifan for how silly he looked when he showed concern over Yixing. It looked as though for once he was worried and cared for the guy and the current condition he was in, especially when Yixing tried to get up and Yifan gently pushed him straight back down, tell him he needed rest. 

This was a whole side to Yifan that actually surprised Yixing. He could get use to this side of him!

"Please explain to me how beating him up was going to help us get closer to Yifan?" 

When speaking this calm, this is what worried his so called henchmen the most. Even though he didn't show his anger or frustration, they knew they were in for it the minute he found out what they had done. 

"What? Did you guys think that Yifan would sense something was wrong and come running to his aid?" but they still refused to say anything, they wouldn't even look him in the eyes as he let out a low chuckle and ran a hand through his hair. 

"You realise that by doing this, he's probably going to realise that you were deliberately doing it to try and get a reaction out of him. This may have potentially ruined my chances in stopping him from leaving the city" before laughing and shaking his head. 

"Get out of my sight. I don't want to see any of you for the rest of the evening"

Once alone did the frustration begin to seep out. Realising that they could have potentially destroyed his chances in ever getting his hands back on Yifan did he then start throwing things about, letting out his stress. If he was going to get Yifan then he would have to act quick, time was of the essence and he was not about to waste it any longer!

Whilst Yixing appreciated just how concerned Yifan was for him in the beginning, it was getting to the point where Yifan worrying about him began to worry Yixing!

If Yixing wanted to go to the toilet, Yifan had to stand on the other side of the door waiting for him to come out. If Yixing wanted to stay in bed and rest, then Yifan was there watching over him whilst he slept. Everywhere Yixing wanted to go, Yifan always had to be there and it was beginning to frustrate him to no end. 

"Do you have to follow me everwhere I go?" he asked, watching Yifan's eyes jump to the window 
"Yes I'm afraid I do" he replied jumping slightly at the sound of a bang from the outside. 

"Well can I at least go and pee in peace?" Yixing asked waiting for Yifan to answer before he was pushed against the wall, groaning 
"Sorry" Yifan said, releasing him straight away 
"Thought I saw... it doesn't matter" as he tried to push Yixing into the living room so he could rest, but Yixing wanted to do things his way now. 

"Uh you need to rest" Yifan said, jumping up after him towards the kitchen 
"No! I'm not crippled or anything like that Yifan I can still do things for myself without you suffocating me like this" Yixing replied before turning to face him. 

"And what the hell is wrong with you anyway? You're so jumpy and worrisome and before you never would have cared" he asked but Yifan said nothing, instead taking Yixing's cup and making his drink for him. 

"Will you please answer me! All this jumpiness, the worrying... you were never like this previously! Why are you so worried about who attacked me, it could have been just someone trying to mug me". 

"I didn't kill that couple that night" Yifan blurted out, eyes wide and body shaking slightly 
"Wha-"
"A-and now that I'm out, he's here. He's here to make sure the truth never gets out" making Yixing frown. 

"Yifan I don't know what you're talking about. Who is here to stop you?" he asked, watching Yifan run a hand through his hair 
"You want my side of the story don't you? You want my side of what happened that night... well this is what I'm doing I'm telling you"...

Oooohhh I'm so excited for the next chapter!

Like seriously, you have no idea how long I have been waiting to write it!
