It was hoped that by calling for a break, this would give Yixing time to calm down before the session was recalled and the questioning resumed. It failed. If anything, the break only agitated Yixing more and more with every moment that passed by, even Luhan had a hard time trying to calm him down! All Yixing wanted was to get back in there and stop the rubbish that was spewing from Guo Ling's lawyer's mouth already and get people to believe him. 

"Just promise me Yixing that you'll try to keep calm and not... freak out like you did last time" was the last thing Luhan said to him before everyone was called back into the coutroom, watching Yixing take in a deep breath.

"I can't promise anything Luhan" was his reply and all Luhan did was nod and pat Yixing on the back before returning into the court room 

Sat there waiting by himself, Yixing tried to think up a plan to prove to everyone that Yifan was innocent in all of this. There was no way that people were believing him right now; Yifan was the one who broke out of jail and into the bakery in order to face not being found and Guo Ling is the guy who, even Yifan said himself, is rich and powerful there was no way the jury were going to favour Yifan over Gu- oh.... oh...

"Yixing" came a voice, snapping him out of his sudden revelation. In fact he was so into his thoughts that the voice made him jump out of his seat as he quickly turned around and saw a police officer stood there waiting for him 
"Come"

"And you're absolutely sure Mr Zhang?" the defense asked as Yixing let out a frustrated sigh and nodded his head 
"Positive" he replied and had to prevent himself from groaning out loud when the defense shook his head and proceeded back to his earlier argument. The only argument he had been making in the trial so far. 

"I'm still not convinced. Following the statements you gave to the police it's clear that Guo Ling was your first encounter be-"
"Have you not been listening to me?" Yixing shouted over him, waiting for anyone to object the way he was acting before he continued. 

"I know what I said to the police and I'm pretty sure I would remember everything I said to them. As I keep telling people; it was Yifan I met before Guo Ling. Yes he was nice and kind but that was before I found out the truth and psycho trashed my house, kidnapped me and had me tied up to a post fearing for my life!" and yet the defense had the actual audacity to laugh right in his face. 

"You know the truth do you?" 
"Of course I do! Yifan explained everything to me, it all makes sense and it can prove how he's the innocent party in all of this" as the defense turned to jury, shaking his head and letting out another laugh. Oh Yixing really wanted to punch him in the face. 

"Clearly, ladies and gentleman, Yixing here is only saying this out of fear. Fear that if he was to tell the truth, it would only anger Yifan for ratting him out and leave him in constant paranoia that if Yifan were to escape again, he would come after him and finish what he started last time" 

"Bull!" 

Okay, maybe there was a better way of stopping his speech besides swearing, not only in front of the judge, but also in front of the cameras and people watching on national television... but Yixing was fed up! Nobody was listening to him and he felt that everyone was ignoring him. Well now he had enough! It was about time he stood up for himself! 

"That is all lies and you know it! Yifan is the innocent here and he has been all along and yet Guo Ling continues to remain innocent. You wanna know why I think this? He's rich, and powerful. He could waste money like it's nothing to pay people to cover up evidence, vote in favour of him, he can threaten people to keep quiet unless they want a nasty surprise... I bet he's even doing it right now!" 

"And you expect everyone to believe you?" the defense asked as Yixing leant forward and shook his head 
"No I don't, but may I remind you there are cameras lining this court. All over the country people will be watching this, there are some people out there who will have their own theories in mind. The internet is a powerful thing my friend, and those who are determined too will manage to dig up some sort of dirt on him, whether he's tried his damn hardest or not to hide it" 

He was beginning to crack... Yixing could see it in the corner of his eye. Guo Ling had to admit; Yixing was smarter than he looked. That didn't mean he wasn't about to go down without a fight. 

"Preposterous!" he shouted from his seat 
"You shall stay silent until questioned" the judge said in reply as Guo Ling chuckled and shook his head. 

"Does he honestly think that he's really going to prove his case through a simple deduction like that?" he asked, completely ignoring the judge 
"I said you shall remain silent!" 
"I mean he's just going on what he thinks, he has no solid evidence" he continued to ramble on as Yixing watched with interest. 

"You seem to be bambling on about nonsense" he commented as Guo Ling stared at him with wide eyes. He was breaking right in front of everyone's eyes 

"Surely if you were adamant that you were innocent in all of this, you would have nothing to say and just let your lawyer do the talking" he added 
"I'm merely just commenting on how everything you're saying is completely inaccurate" Guo Ling replied as calmly as he could, Yixing shaking his head and letting out a tut. 

"See, I think you're doing this because I've managed to uncover a nerve. Maybe somebody has finally found out about your dirty little tricks and you don't seem to like it, do you? You don't like how in the beginning I may have been too scared to say anything because of what you did. Well I'm sick and tired of being pushed around and ignored, I'm finally speaking out and you dont like it one bit" 

Yixing was expecting Guo Ling to put up some sort of fight, continue to fight, however being put under pressure like that changes people. It makes them say something they were never really suppose to say in the beginning, ensuing gasps and murmurs around the room, making headline news in the country and few media outlets around the world. Setting a wrongly prosecuted man free. 

"I loved her... I loved her more than anybody in this world and yet she didn't choose me. You try telling me that if the person you loved didn't return your feelings you wouldn't let anyone else have them! I had to do it! I had to kill them!"

The entrance of the court was flooded with the media, wanting to catch the first sets of interviews from the lswyers involved in the case, wanting to catch the reactions of the public and of those in the courtroom itself. 

What they wanted the most was to catch the reaction of two out of the three most important people involved in the case... and yet they couldn't be found... 

With Luhan waiting outside to give them privacy, Yixing and Yifan's reunion was met with much joy and maybe just a tiny shedding of tears. Yifan could not express just how thankful he was to Yixing for never giving up and helping him like that; he would forever be in his debt. 

The time spent away from each other was quickly made up in kisses and lingering touches, the two not planning to let go of each other for a very long time...

Phew! Let me tell you guys, it was a nightmare writing this chapter with the amount of re-writes that took place! But, here's the final outcome and I hoped you enjoyed it! 

I write this at a time where, let's face it, the group is kind of in a crisis. However, I believe that they will rise out of this stronger than ever and I wish Luhan and Kris all the best of luck in future endeavours 

Next chapter will be the last! I cant believe I'm finally letting go of this fic :'(
