Yixing was pretty sure that he and Yifan were dead meat. Any second now Guo Ling was going to turn around and shoot the two of them. Even before they could escape, they were both going to be dead and the last his friends and family would see of him would be in a casket burried in the depths of the Earth. 

He should have remembered by now though that Yifan was an ex-prisoner. Whilst Li Jiaheng tried to keep Yifan out of trouble before his death, Yifan didn't exactly go almost six years without learning a trick or two. When Guo Ling paused just beside them, Yifan turned to Yixing and shot him one last look, indicating for him to stay hidden before he turned back around. Before Yixing could stop him, Yifan jumped out from their hiding place and lunged for Guo Ling, pinning him against the wall. 

Yixing couldn't exactly see what was going on in the beginning, he could only hear the ensuing chaos, willing himself to not look out in order to not put him and Yifan in any further danger. But the temptation to do so... it was beginning to get to him... 

"You really think you can stop me?" Guo Ling managed to ask, using the gun to smack Yifan across the head and push him to the floor, releasing himself from Yifan's grasp. 

As soon as Yifan was off of him, Guo Ling sprung into action, he himself leaping forward and kicking Yifan in the stomach watching him fall to the floor before he started his onslought began again. Yifan wasn't one to cower and when the opportunity came he was back up throwing his own attacks, the whole time just trying to get the gun out of his hand before he could do anymore damage. 

All Yixing could do was sit there and watch helplessly; watch as Yifan would put up a valiant effort before Guo Ling came back with his attack and Yifan ended up cornered against a wall or pushed down to the floor again. He felt so freaking useless just sat there watching the fight unfold in front of him... and of course he had to be freaking injured and so weak he couldn't exactly even attempt to try and help Yifan fight back. He just had to sit there and hope that Yifan would be able to fight back for himself.

Yifan wasn't looking to do anything too serious to Guo Ling. Of course he wanted to, especially because of the hell Guo Ling had put him through these past few years, but the guy was going to have to stay alive if Yifan wanted any hope of clearing his name. 

It was a pretty hard job; making sure that nothing happened to Guo Ling whilst Yifan attempted to stay alive himself. Once or twice Guo Ling had the chance to pull the trigger and get a good shot of Yifan, once or twice he should have been dead by now and knew that if he didn't get the gun away from Guo Ling both he and Yixing were going to be dead before anyone could come and help them. 

Pushed up against the wall, Yifan let out a groan when Guo Ling twisted his arm and pushed it against his back. He could feel the gun on the back of his head, hear the trigger being pulled and was quick to react; twisting out of Guo Ling's hold and pushing him away, allowing the bullet to hit the wall instead of his head. 

He didn't dwell on the fact that the bullet was so close to hitting him. As soon as the situation was avoided did he lunge for Guo Ling again, pushing him to the floor, kicking him, stepping on his wrist to get the gun out of the guy's hand. Learning from past experiences, as soon as the gun was out of Guo Ling's hand, Yifan kicked it away. Only then did he allow himself to pause and take a deep breath. 

The silence that followed left an uneasy feeling in Yifan's stomach... why was it so quiet? It shouldn't even be this quiet... 

Turning around, Yifan knew exactly why. Turning around, Yixing was standing there, Guo Ling behind him tugging on his hair, holding a knife to his neck 

"This ends now" he said, Yixing's face pleading with Yifan to save him 
"This is just between us two, let Yixing go!" Yifan said, rushing forward but stopped when Guo Ling pulled harder on Yixing's hair, the blade of the knife drawing blood against Yixing's neck. 

"Enough! You know too much, Yixing has seen too much" Guo Ling shouted before he began laughing 
"Don't you see Yifan? You just cause nothing but trouble; first your mum, the people of Beijing after you escaped from prison... and now poor Yixing is about to die because he just had to hide you and you had to tell him everything. You're no good for anybody, it would just be better if you did die and you were wiped from the Earth". 

Watching the expression on Yifan's face, Yixing was actually preparing himself for death. With each tug of his hair, and each time the blade was pressed hard into his skin, he tried to supress his groans but it was just too painful. He could see that Yifan wanted to help, but if he tried to intervene then it would only make his death quicker. By this point, Yixing was ready to die...

He couldn't really remember what happened next. He could remember being the one thing standing between Guo Ling and Yifan, he remembered everything that had happened to him beforehand right up until the knife. He was pretty sure he could hear shouting and the sound of people rushing towards them. Yixing was sure he could hear someone shout his name... but he wasn't really sure if that was reall or if he had imagined it... 

Shortly after that, did everything turn black for him...

I have risen from the depths of homework, coursework and minor procrastination to finally write the long awaited showdown between Guo Ling and Yifan! 

I'm not really good and writing fight scenes... so hopefully this was alright for everyone :S 

And I just decided to leave the chapter like this just to push you guys over the edge with having to wait just that little bit more... I'm so evil!
