Outburst

HongBin had quite a torned impression. On one hand he couldn’t help but think over and over this exchange of look between the two friends and the way it had seemed utterly suspicious to him. On the other hand he could see how much the guy called ChanYeol cared for Daeya and how friendly they were.

During the whole day he had had the opportunity to see them as toward the young girl and him and they seemed to be intelligent enough to get when she felt suffocated because of their attention and back off the way they should.

But something concerned him now that the day was over. He had been able to handle the two guys and Daeya had seemed to be ok being with three guys, her who wasn’t that much of an extrovert, but it seemed that he wasn’t yet out of the woods: The two young men had proposed to Daeya and him to come to a party they were having with their roommates.

Until then nothing was quite stressful but HongBin grew worried at hearing that they were twelve guys living together on a huge house with the girlfriends of three of them.

And Daeya who had never been a very social person was going to be confronted to that many people she didn’t know. If you added to that her assault that had stressed her out even more, she was far from being ready to go to a party.

“So what do you say about it? Are you in?” Kai asked looking over at the girl.

“We promise to drive you home at the end of the evening if you don’t feel like staying…”

ChanYeol’s pleading eyes were already touched Daeya and HongBin could feel it? It was dangerous.

“Please Dae…”

The use of a nickname wasn’t going to help HongBin. Even though he had a great time with the two young men and he knew they could be good friends, he didn’t really like ChanYeol’s relationship with Daeya…

“I’m sorry guys but I think we’re going to pass for once…” HongBin began.

But the young man didn’t have time to end his sentence as Daeya elbowed him.

“Listen… Why don’t we try it? I mean… We could go there and see if it’s ok…” The young girl murmured to her friend.

“I don’t think it such a good idea…”

“Please? I mean it would be pretty cool meeting the rest of the band and we have nothing to lose…”

“Listen, if it’s what you want we can go there… But just think about it… You’re not really at ease in society…”

“You think I don’t know that? But I have to overcome my fears and if this is a way to do that then I’m willing to try. And I will try it.”

“What do you mean…?”

“You’re always treating me like a fragile doll. I’m neither fragile nor a doll. Sure, I was very thankful to you when you were there for me when I needed your help. But now I want to try get better and I sometimes feel like you’re trying to hold me back…”

“I’m not. Really I just want you to be OK and I thought you needed time…”

“I need time. But I also need to confront my fears. So I’ll be going to this party. If you don’t want to come then don’t. I don’t need you to be here.”

The girl then turned to the couple of friends who were looking at her quite surprised by the sudden outburst of the young girl.

“I’m sorry you had to witness this. I’ll be going to your party but I’d like to go home first to change. Can you drop me there and tell me at what hour I can come?”

“S… Sure we will.” ChanYeol nodded.

As they made their way to the car Kai couldn’t help but whisper: “She has a true She-wolf temper.”

ChanYeol smiled as he enjoyed his friend’s remark before realizing that there was a double meaning when his friend added: “I don’t know if it’s great news. I’d rather like her to be soft tempered and a cutie all the time if she can be a threat to the pack.”

HongBin and Daeya were a few steps behind and they could hear them. But to be honest they were too far away in their thoughts to even pay attention to what the two men were saying.

HongBin wondered what had gone through his friend. She had always been quite a nervous person but she had never released her tension by shouting and saying mean things to anybody. Not until now. She was usually the quiet and shy girl who was drowned in her own world of creation and didn’t bother about what other people thought.

Sure, she had a point when she asked him to let her be. He knew he had been way overprotective of her since her assault. But it really did bother him that she had been powerless and defenseless and that he hadn’t been there for her at the right time. What also upset him was that he didn’t really know what had happened this precise night.

She didn’t want to talk about it and she didn’t know how she had been able to escape from her attackers. He had just understood that something had happened to her when he hadn’t seen her at the photograph course the day after. She wasn’t the type to miss a class because she didn’t feel like going. And, to his knowledge she had never missed a class because of any disease…

So, when the day had ended, he had come to visit his friend only to find her unconscious figure lying in the middle of her apartment. And from this day on, he had been living with her since she had two rooms and didn’t feel safe…

And now she was resenting him for being overprotective… HongBin was totally lost in his feelings for Daeya.

Daeya was also conflicted.

She didn’t understand her sudden outburst either. She was used to keep it all for herself. She was used to never let it show.

But somehow, ChanYeol’s presence made her as nervous as it made her happy and she had bottled up her nervousness during the day until the moment she had to release it. And because a part of her knew that HongBin wouldn’t resent her for long, for he was a good friend of her, she had taken it all on her poor friend. As she tried not to think how she would release the tension of a whole evening in ChanYeol’s presence, she heard ChanYeol call one of his friends to tell them the news of her joining in the party. She didn’t hear much except a man’s voice answering: “Oh… We’re going to meet the famous Daeya. Guess we’ll have to be careful…”

So while my father is watching the final game of the football world competition I've been writing this chapter (It's kinda wierd: I'm used to write with a musical background and not cheering etc XD)

Anyway... So... Daeya is finally going to meet the whole pack... Are you excited? (I know I am... ^^")

I can't believe the support I'm having for this fic (to be honest I think it's one of the best I've written so far and maybe the best I've been posting but still I'm really amazed by the reactions I've had from you guys, be it subscribing, commenting or upvoting!)
