2:00 a.m. [SM Building, Seoul]

I don't know why I lied about this.

I really should've just told her that I wasn't finished with all the paperwork.

Even in my professional life, she's already causing me more trouble.

Now, I'm sitting here taking a break looking over the city drinking coffee.

God, I really miss my drinks...

Flashback [Park, Seoul]

This is it, I just let it all out.

I'm willing to put my past behind me, and let this girl here past the walls around my heart.

This girl?

No, she's not just a girl. She's a woman, the only woman who has gotten me to feel this way.

I don't know what it is, but I think it's love.

"Okay."

I don't know why but I was mildly shocked at this and said,"Really?"

"There it is again.", she said as she was turning around to face me.

"What?"

"Your over confidence. It went away again."

"It's your fault."

"Why would you say that?"

"Cause 'you're my downfall, you're my muse, my worst distraction, my rythm and blues'"

"You can't sing."

"I thought that was pretty good."

"I just hope you're better at other things."

"You tell me."

Then, I pulled her in for a kiss and she responded well.

Suddenly, she pulled away and looked me dead in the eyes.

"Why'd you pull away?"

"Because if you want us to happen you need to do me a favor."

"Anything for you."

"You can only drink if I'm around."

"That's a very big favor."

"Well, I'm a very busy person and I'm more than willing to give up my schedule for this."

"So be it."

"What?"

"I'll do it."

"Good."

Back to Normal Time [SM Building, Seoul]

Now, I'm back here drinking coffee.

Instead of my favorite drinks, I'm here drinking a bland coffee.

I can't believe, in less than a week, my entire life has changed so much.

New country.

A girlfriend.

I mean, me of all people in a relationship?

All those comments about me, they don't matter anymore.

I found something I care about now, and no one can take that away from me.

All of a sudden, someone walked into my office.

Turning around, I quickly realized who it was.

"I'm surprised that you'd be here of all places."

"I'm surprised it took you this long to find me."

"You left without a word. Everything was left, but when we checked your condo you weren't there."

"Finally decided to care about your son?"

"You know I've always cared about you."

"You're right, you always cared. So, what do you need, dad?"

"Do you know how your brother is?"

"Why would I care?"

"Just answer the question."

"Am I my brother's keeper?"

"You should be."

"Why is that?"

"He needs your help."

"It's time he learns to handle his own problems."

"Why don't you care?"

"I left the United States to get away from things I didn't particularly care for."

"You can't just run away when you're not happy with how things are going."

"I'm not running."

"Then why don't you go back to help your brother?"

"Because I'm not running back."

"Why not? You had people who cared about you back home."

"That's true."

"Then why would you leave and abandon all of us?"

"I didn't abandon anyone."

"How are you so sure?"

"Because abandonment suggests leaving something you care about."

"Then why haven't you left this place?"

"I found something I care about."

"Well, I hope you're happy then. Have a goodnight, son."

"Goodnight, dad."

He walked out of my office without saying another word.

I made my way to my desk and proceeded to work on the endless mass of paperwork.

The Next Morning [SM Building, Seoul]

"Oppa, wake up."

"Hmmm?"

"WAKE UP!"

I jolted at the sudden scream and looked straight into the eyes of my waker.

God, this girl.

"Jessica, what are you doing here?"

"I went over to your place earlier and the security guard told me you didn't come home."

"How did you get the security guard to give you that information?"

She smirked,"I have my methods."

"So, that's how it's gonna be?"

I quickly got up from my desk and chased her around the room.

When I caught her, I held on and layed down on the couch with her in my grip.

"OPPA!"

"What?"

"What're you doing?"

"Getting some rest."

"Why?"

"I was rudely woken up and I would like to catch up on some of it."

"Rudely, huh?"

"Mmhmm. Now, I'd really like to enjoy some more rest."

As soon as I said that, Sung walked in with Jung Hee, my secretary.

Glaring at them, I said,"What?"

Looking distraught, Sung managed to stutter while saying,"Sir, your negotiations."

Dissappointed, I let Jessica loose and dismissed both of them.

Looking at myself in the mirror, I quickly realized I still had the same suit from yesterday on. 

Turning to Jessica, I said,"Can you grab me a suit from the closet?"

"Um.. sure?"

When she opened the closet, she looked overwhelmed by the number of suits I had.

"Hey, which one do you want?"

"Can I have the Gucci one? Or maybe the Hermes one?"

"Make up your mind."

"Hermes it is then."

"God, do you have everything in the world?"

Quickly, I back hugged her and said,"I do. However, I might give it up to have this."

"Am I just a thing to you?"

"No, you're everything to me. However, I still want you to know that you're mine."

"Same goes to you."

"Gladly"

After handing me the suit, I began to remove my clothes piece by piece.

When I took off my T-shirt underneath, I saw Jessica had a puzzled look on her face.

Curious as to what was wrong with her, I asked,"What's wrong?"

"I didn't know you were that kind of person."

"What kind?"

"To have tattoos."

"Oh. These? They're just symbolic of things that are important to me."

"Does that mean I get one dedicated to me?"

"One day, you might get one."

"Does it hurt?"

"These one's did, but I think the one we're talking about won't hurt a bit."

"Why is that?"

"Cause I care about the person it's dedicated to."

"Just care?"

"Well, I do."

"What about the L word?"

"Like? I guess I could like you, but that's asking a lot."

Playfully hitting me, she said,"You're so mean!"

"I know."

"I'm the only one that knows it's not entirely true."

"How are you so sure?"

"Because-"

Cutting her off, I pulled her in for a kiss then whispered in her ear,"I love you."

"I love you too."

Quickly, I put on my new suit and was about to walk out of the room when she said,"Anything you want to say?"

"I already said it."

"No goodbye? Or have a nice day with your schedules?"

"Okay, fine. Goodbye and have a pleasant day with your schedules."

"You just repeated what I told you to say..."

"No I didn't, I said pleasant day."

"Whatever."

"Well, wish me luck!"

"Like you need it."

Smirking, I said,"I know, right?"

3 Hours Later [SM Building, Seoul]

Ugh, we just finished negotiating with Seohyun and Yuri.

Good thing they agreed to go together otherwise I'd have such a long time going through each of the group members one-by-one.

As I walked out of the conference room to get another cup of coffee, I found myself being grabbed by 3 pairs of hands.

After being pushed into an empty office, they closed the door and the lights revealing who they were.

"Tiffany, can I ask what you're doing? Why are Taeyeon and Sunny here too?"

"We're here to ask you questions."

"About?"

Suddenly, Taeyeon began speaking english and said,"You know what."

"No, really. There's so many things we can talk about, I can't just choose one."

Tiffany: "We're here to talk about-"

Sunny: "JESSICA!"

Taeyeon: "We want to know why."

You: "Why what?"

Taeyeon: "Why you want to date her and why we should let you."

You: "Oh, now I see. Wait, let's get this straight, you guys could speak English all along?"

Taeyeon: "We're not that good at it, but we figured you could get through the accent."

Tiffany: "And they didn't feel like speaking directly to an arrogant douche."

Smirking, I said,"Ouch. That hurts too much."

Sunny: "Just shut up and answer the questions."

You: "I'm not obliged to say anything."

Tiffany: "See! I don't see what she could like so much about you!"

You: "What is that supposed to mean Ms. Hwang?"

Taeyeon: "Fany calm down. What she means is that you're always so cold and cruel to other people but Jessica seems convinced that there is another side of you that is caring and honestly feels for people. As much as we'd all like to believe her, you're not making it any easier."

Sunny: "For all we know, you might just be some rich player that's going to break her heart one day."

Tiffany: "And we're not going to let that happen. So, do your best to prove to us that you're not just some rich playboy that has a knack of convincing girls that he cares for them."

You: "I'm not going to prove anything."

Tiffany: "WHAT!?"

You: "I could care less what you all think of me. In fact, I really don't care at all. So, I'm not going to try to prove myself to a bunch of idols who think I'm some rich playboy. What I will tell you though is that should you ever get in the way of my relationship and love life with Jessica, I will personally ensure that your careers are over and that you won't be able to get a job even as a dishwasher."

All three looked shocked at my comment.

Tiffany: "W-w-w-why do you have to be so cruel?"

As I got up and walked towards the door, all I could say was," Because Jessica is the one thing I care about in this world..."
