Chapter: VI - Special Chapter

CL's Anatomy

This is the tale of Lee Chaerin's time under anesthetics. Follow along as Chaerin falls down the surgical rabbit hole and meets the most unlikely person while down.

The day was hot, but a gentle breeze occasionally blew in cooling the air around down making the heat manageable.

Laying in a meadow filled with vibrantly intense red flowers, flowers so aggressively red that it almost canceled out their beauty, next to a flowing river was a young woman. The woman's dress was entirely white, virtually perfect if it wasn't for the red stains of unknown origin splattered here and there. Her hair was blonde, and neatly pushed back into a bun.

"How long have I been asleep?" Sitting up, a loud yawn escaped while she spoke to no one. The woman looked at herself up and down only to notice an ID card with her picture an name, "Lee Chaerin, Cardio thoracic surgeon." Proceeding the self inspection, Chaerin stood, craned her head around to  examine her environs. It was a quiet place, very much resembling the French Countryside she'd visited as a child.

Although Chaerin was still groggy from just waking up, and sleepiness still consumed her eyes, a pair of white, downy ears popped up from the flowers just three meters away. At the moment the creature started to rise, Chaerin finally figured out it was rabbit, a white rabbit. The factor that made the rabbit stranger was that it wore dark blue scrubs(that of which looked highly familiar to Chaerin) and a surgical face mask.

"What the hell? Was that little rabbit wearing doctor scrubs?" Embarking on the journey to follow after the rabbit, the animal proved to be more elusive than she'd predicted. 'Where'd that thing go? And where I am? France?' Her thoughts were scattered from looking for that rabbit to wondering what the stains on her dress were(which were now drying to have dark brownish red color). Chaerin continued ambling around, determinedly scanning the flowers for that annoying rabbit.

"Ah-ha! There that rabbit is! Hey, come back here!" The blonde shouted after the rabbit in doctor clothes while beginning to run after it. Chaerin was so close to having the rabbit in her grasp, if it wasn't for one little fall.

Now what was her down fall?

The red heels she wore were her favorite pair shoes, and to be completely honest the blood red shoes were worn out. No body ever dared to say anything about her shoes, and frankly Chaerin didn't give a what she wore. Those shoes had been with her through thick and thin. And a good pair of shoes takes you good places.

Scampering down the grassy hill at a fast pace was the absolute worst and most inconvenient time for a heel to break. But that's just wonderful luck of Miss Lee Chaerin. In stride, her heel broke which was the causation of the girl tripping then rolling down the hill. Chaerin just kept rolling, and rolling, and rolling. By this point she was sure that her nose was bleeding as well as her knees.

When her rolling ceased, Chaerin noticed she had fallen down a hole. Not just any hole, but the rabbit's hole.

Descending further and further, she noticed that there were hospital beds, random patients' hostpital charts, and different surgical tools floating around. For some odd reason, it made her feel at home. Even as she fell, Chaerin picked up some charts and began to read. It's funny, you can learn so much about a person by what their hospital chart says. Height, weight, blood type, smoking history, almost everything.

"Gosh, when does this thing end?" Following immediately after her question to no one, Chasrin abruptly landed on a hard, white floor, "Ow, well then. And what the hell is this place? It looks like I'm in a hospital." But it was a bit different than a hospital.

All across the walls instead of pictures of happy doctors, kids, and adults, they were filled with flak. Things like: 'Who let the out of hell?' and 'I'd much rather  the guy on the table than her intern.' As Chaerin read all the comments, they sounded familiar, but she couldn't place where she'd heard them. Chaerin didn't quite grok why these were written, so she kept walking down the hallway. Whilst walking, Chaerin noticed broken glass and candies loitering the floor which made her even more confused.

On the opposite wall, different book covers were faded into the wall along with pictures of Chaerin and some dark haired man. The man in the photos looked like he didn't want to be anywhere else but by her side.

The hallway seemed to go on forever, the comments never ending unlike the books covers and the photos. As the photos of Chaerin and the man ended, the words just got worse. By what the comments said, they mad it seem like the man in those photos had died quite suddenly. It was all very strange.

Eventually, after what seemed like hours, Lee Chaerin approached a glass door. Peering through it, see say a large table filled with cakes, tea pots, cups, and saucers. At the head of the table a humongous throne like chair was being occupied by a man sipping tea.

"Excuse me," Chaerin opened to the door, taking only a few baby steps inside, "can you tell me where I am?"

"Ahh, my dearest Chaerin-ah. I've been waiting such a long time for you. Please, sit down, have some cake or tea. Let's talk."

The girl made her way over slowly to a smaller, queen like throne chair at the end of the table. Chaerin took her seat carefully and raised an eyebrow, "Now tell me, how is it that you know me? And why are you speaking to me with such informalities? In Korea we treat strangers with a bit more respect."

"My dear, we are surely not strangers. In fact, in your greatest time of need, I'll be the one there to pull you out of your hole." By this point Chaerin thought this man completely mad.

"That's absurd. I don't need a man, I don't need anyone. I'm just fine on my own." Leaning back, Chaerin glared at him.

"That's wonderful and all, but at some point you'll need some to rely on.

"Nothing is going to happen to me!" Chaerin was getting so annoying by his obnoxious foretelling.

"Speaking of that. You better treasure it." Smirking widely, the crazy guy with a scrub cap reading 'One Of A Kind' just sat back on his throne. His hair was blonde like Chaerin's, but a few shades lighter. An unwavering twinkle filling his eyes.

"Treasure what?" The one thing that Chaerin positively hated were people's brainless and vexatious games. She'd never been very blithesome.

"That right hand of yours. You're going to be going be without it in a very short time."

Picking up a tea cup closest to her, Chaerin threw the fine china in the way of the Mad Surgeon, "What do you mean?! Without this hand, without this I'm nothing."

Dodging the cup at the final second before pelting him, he laughed lightly to himself, "That's not true my darling Chaerin, don't be so intuitive. Someone will still love you. Now, before you go off, I must tell you something," the surgeon rose up from his throne chair positioned at the head of the table and focused in on Chaerin's brown eyes, "All you do is work, but what about having a good time? You're never rident, that makes me quite sad."

Her head tilted to the side a bit and repeated his words, "Having a good time? And why do you give a damn if I'm happy? I'm not going to do stupid things and smirch my reputation."

"Having a good time isn't just about getting drunk and making unwise decisions. Having a good time can be as simple as spending time with people who love you."

Chaerin laughing mocking tone, "I don't have many friends. Not even my parents want me, but I'm just fine with that. People only tie you down from achieving your dreams. And I'm guessing that all those comments written on walls of the hallway were about me. I'm not sure why, but I'm getting at people don't really like me."

"People are just scared of you. There is someone who you will meet soon that loves you more than life it's self. Now my sweet Chaerin, you must be off. If you're down any longer, people will think you're dead. And don't worry, you'll see me anon." Smiling devilishly, he turned around to began walking away as everything faded to black around Chaerin.

The biggest thing that Chaerin neglected to figure out was that this whole dream was prevising her future.

Honestly , this is one of favourite story till conflict come in and the story get complicated .. it make me so confuse and got bored cause i don't understand what you want to tell through this story, and today i read the epilogue II .. I love it so much :) !!!!!!!!!
I like chae's character here , so ridiculously funny . What a unique woman , she back to 'child' again .

"I have a bag?" She questioned as he helped her up, "Since when?"

"I prepared it. I knew you wouldn't go it." He rushed into the other room, grabbed a medium sized bag, then grabbed his wife's hand to help her.

That part and when chae got turn on at urgent state are my favourite scene !!
Ahh and their convo when chae giving a birth is hella cute :) !!
