After the orientation ceremony, the special agents were allowed to go back to their dorms to rest for the day. Shortly after everyone entered, the brunette walked up to the two best friends with an unpleasant expression.

“You two. Explain. Now.” Tiffany stared at the both of them.

“Erm, well...” Taeng scratched the back of his head, wondering if he should tell the truth or not.

“Well what?” She folded her arms and continued staring at the two of them.

“I got a stomachache.” He avoided the glaring pairs of eyes, hoping that she would believe his answer.

“Taeng… you could at least come up with a better excuse.” Tiffany was obviously not buying his excuse.

“Erm, we got lost?” He grinned stupidly.

“How about some rounds around the track to clear your head so that you can give me the real reason to why you’re late?” Her patience was running low.

“I was in Jessica’s room. It took some time for Taeng to find me because I didn’t inform him. That’s why we’re late.” The quiet guy said and walked away after that.

“Oh.” Tiffany didn’t know how to react. That name has been a sensitive issue, especially to the tanned guy, ever since that particular incident.

“Urgh Fany! I thought you would catch my hint and drop this matter for the time being!”

“What hint! You didn’t give me any hint or whatsoever! How was I supposed to know that it’s with regards to her!”

“Well there’s a reason why I was being so unwilling to answer you and giving you stupid excuses instead. I’ll go after him.” Taeng sighed. He was worried for the guy. Before we could walk away, Tiffany grabbed his arms and stopped him instead.

“Let him be Taetae. Give him some time to be alone. He’ll be fine.”

“I hope so.” Be alright soon, Yul.

Yul was sitting at the rooftop, with the cooling night breeze calming his whole being. The rooftop had always been his favourite place. Their favourite place. Whenever Yul feels down or empty, he would drop by the rooftop because it reminded him of her. The girl that he loves more than himself. The girl that he promised to protect for the rest of his life.

Flashback

The couple was seen cuddling together at the rooftop, with the magnificent night view upon their eyes. Yul was enjoying the moment a lot. He loves it when he hugs her in his arms like this. It shows how precious she was to him.

“Yul.” Her voice was so soft and sweet, it was a lullaby to his ears.

“Hmm?” He answered, closing his eyes to enjoy the moment.

“You know, you’re like the moon. You’re the source of light in the dark. You brighten up the world at night. Especially my world. You’re my personal moon.” The girl said, admiring that handsome face in front of him, instead of the beautiful night view.

Yul couldn’t help but smile. She would always become so sweet and honest about her feelings for him when they’re sharing moments like this. This is why he liked cuddling with her.

“If I’m your moon, then you’ll be my brightest star.”

“Why am I your star?” The girl looked up at him curiously.

“Because when the moon is lonely at night, the star is always there to accompany him till the sun comes up, so that he will not be alone.” He smile at the girl, feeling so blessed that he found her in his life. He couldn’t imagine what life would be like without her. It would most probably me like how the sky is empty and dark without any moon or star at night. Moon and star, they will always be brightening up the world together. Just like him and her, brightening up their own world.

Flashback ends

He looked up the night sky and notice that there were no stars. Not even a single one. The lonely moon hung up in the cold and dark sky, just like him. He couldn’t help but missed her even more. Decided that he had enough for the day, he retreated back into the dorms, sparing a glance back at the empty night sky, hoping that a certain bright shining star will appear tonight.
