Second Chance at Love-41-
Hyerin looked up and noticed that Sunggyu had a firm grip on her wrist. There was no way he was going to allow her for fall, into the water below. Sunggyu was so glad that he arrived in time. His instincts told him to go searching for the girl, and he was glad he followed his instincts. Sunggyu knew this stupid girl was going to get into some sort of trouble.
"Sunggyu..."
"Hang in their Hyerin, I am going to pull you up." Sunggyu said as he used some of his strength to pull her up. Sunggyu was shocked how light she was because for a girl, she did eat a lot. Sunggyu gave one more tug, and Hyerin landed in Sunggyu's lap when he fell back. Their lips were only centimeters apart. "Thank god you are alright? What happened?" Sunggyu asked as he placed a hand on her cheek, drying that tears that were falling.
"I don't know..." Hyerin panicked, "The bridge suddenly gave out on me. I checked it before I started to cross and it was perfectly fine then. I..."
Sunggyu placed two hands on her cheeks, "Calm down, you are safe now and that is all that matters." Sunggyu looked towards the rope and knew that it was not an accident, someone meant to cut that rope attempting to kill Hyerin. He began to wonder if his father was behind this, if he was, it was only going to make Sunggyu want to protect Hyerin more.
Hyerin looked at Sunggyu and nodded. He was right. She should not be panicking about this. She got off of Sunggyu and held out a hand for him to take. He took it and allowed Hyerin to pull him to his feet. "Now what?"
"You now have me for your traveling companion." Sunggyu smiled and his eyes disappeared. "Are you ready to get back to camp?"
"Yes, but I have yet been able to find what I was looking for, Sunggyu. Are you good at outdoor activity?" Hyerin asked.
"Not at all, but I read about it in a book and I am sure my book about survival will help us." Sunggyu sat down on the ground and pulled a book out of his backpack.
"Sunggyu, a book cannot help you with everything." Hyerin said, placing hands on her hips. "You need to face life problems head on, yes you are going to make mistakes here and there, but that is life."
"Since when are you so wise?" Sunggyu asked as he looked into Hyerin's eyes.
"I have always been wise Sunggyu. This is the first time you have taken notice." Hyerin smiled at Sunggyu.
"I know you well enough that this is not normal behavior for you." Sunggyu put his book back in his bag and stood up. He grabbed onto Hyerin's wrist and started to pull her along. "Forget about the stupid flag. You are only going to get hurt if you continue to look for it."
"But..." Hyerin sighed, allowing Sunggyu to pull her along, "I do not want to be on dishes duty. Who knows what will happen to me if I do not bring back the flag."
"If you are, I will help you with it." Sunggyu said as he intertwined their fingers together. He started to make his way towards the woods. He did not know why he was so willing to help this girl. Sunggyu refused to help Yura before, but that was because he despised the girl, and did not want to give her the time of day.
"Sunggyu, if I am asked to do a task, I finish it. Giving up is not in my nature." Hyerin said as she got her hand out of Sunggyu's grip, but in the process of doing that she lost her footing, rolling down a hill.
"Hyerin..." Sunggyu yelled as he chased after her. When Sunggyu go to the bottom of the hill, he hopped Hyerin was just laying there and not dead, "Hyerin..." Sunggyu kneeled down next to her and watched as she placed a hand against her head. "Hyerin..."
"..." Hyerin did not answer Sunggyu, all she did was stare up at the sky that suddenly turned dark, it was going to rain soon.
"Yahh, Song Hyerin answer me..." Sunggyu said in a panicked voice as he placed to hands on Hyerin's shoulder, pulling her into a seated position.
"Sunggyu...I'm fine." Hyerin said as she pushed his hands off of her shoulder and rose to her feet. "We should get going..." Hyerin took one step forward and ended up falling to the ground, grabbing her ankle.
"You're hurt..." Sunggyu looked at her with a concerned expression on his face. "Let me take a look at it."
"Sunggyu, I'm fine...you don't need too..." Hyerin backed away from him, but it was too late, Sunggyu h
