“Eww stay away from me mud blood” little five year old maylee said as she pushed seohyun into the dirty mud puddle. Even at the young age maylee like all her cousins have been instructed in the value of mud bloods, and unfortunately seohyun was somebody that will no t be accepted.

Seohyun couldn’t help but to cry as she try to take the mud off her face. She could never understand why was she called a mudblood. Taeyeon could only sigh as she help her daughter get up from the puddle. She will have scolded those little girls, but taeyeon knew it would only cause more problems. The Kwons were not very found of neither her nor her daughter and as much as she fought jaejoong for the way his family especially those little brats, he couldn’t do anything. “ Mommy, why does maylee and the others called me dirty. My hands were clean before I fell in to the mud”

4-year-old seohyun asked with tears in her pretty face. Taeyeon felt like her heart was being torn apart, she wanted to ripped that little brat’s hair apart for being so cruel to seohyun yet she knew more problems will come if she ever did.

“They are just jealous of you, seohyun,” Yuuki said as he wipes those little tears from her cheeks. Taeyeon could only smile in gratefulness as yuuki saved her from responding once again.

“ Why are they so mean grandpa” Seohyun said as she wondered why maylee and the girls didn’t want to play with her.

Yuuki could only smiled as he took seohyun in his arms. “ They are just jealous that most of my attention is towards you.” Yuuki said truthfully. In all this years, he has never treated any of his grandchildren nor own sons or daughters with much gentleness as he treats seohyun. Nobody could blame him, seohyun at such young age showed so much gentleness and kindness yet even his own family treats her as the worst kind of trash there is.  He couldn’t help but to grew fond of her; in his own heart he can feel she’s special.

“ There’s nothing to be scared of seohyun; Nothing will happen as I’m with you” Yuuki said as he squeeze seohyun’s hand; trying to assure her that nothing bad will happen. Seohyun just nodded as she felt her heat beating furiously. Even up till now her grandpa is beside her side fighting the battles with her and being her strength.  She has always feel invincible, like she could do anything as long as he’s by her side...if only her father could be as supportive as Kwon Yuuki maybe she could confess her own conflict to her father. Maybe he could allow her to change universities before yonghwa finds out who she is.

As always dark and nasty stares where given to her; she try to avoid those gazes, reassuring herself that she has gotten used to them already and she’s not affected but no matter how she reassures herself, the sting of pain is still in her heart.  You can do this. Seohyun keeps on reassuring herself like a mantra as she tries to not shed any tears.

It still amazes her how her family’s cold treatment still affects her. She should be use to be treated this way, but then again how can she not be affected when all her life seohyun has worked hard to gain their love and respect. All those hardships, long hours of studying for what? Just to be hated and treated as an outsider? Surely seohyun has not learned her lesson, even her own mother has told her that she has to move on. That the kwon family will not accept her and she’s only hurting herself more when she expects that her accomplishments will make them love her.

“Seohyun”

“SEOHYUN!!!”

“Huh?”

“Seohyun are you even listening?!” Maylee said with irritation.

“ I’m sorry, I wasn’t listening...What did you just said?”Seohyun said apologetically She has been lost in her own thoughts that she didn’t even notice maylee talking to her. But who could blame her, seohyun has always been invisible in her family.

“ Of course you were not listening, you always think you’re so better than us and you are our grandfather’s favorite girl that you can ignore everyone!” Maylee said coldly.

“ No its not true I-“

“ Now you are going to deny it, let me tell you seohyun you are nothing more than a mere mug blood, and if it wasn’t because my father is so attached to you, you will have been gone a long time ago just like the gold digger of your mother!” Kwon Sohee as she look into seohyun’s eyes with so much hatred. At this point, she could not even hide how much she hates seohyun even though her own father kwon yuuki is they’re witnessing everything

Just as Kwon Sohee said that, yuuki slapped her cheek. “ That’s enough, Sohee; you should be ashamed of yourself!” Yuuki has never slapped any of his daughters before, and he certainly feels sorry but he cannot contain the anger he was feeling.  He can’t help but to think that he has failed to teach his daughter the most important lesson.  Family comes first no matter what, and yet it seems like sohee cannot see seohyun as part of the kwon family like many other.

Sohee could only glared at seohyun because yuuki has never slapped her. “ Why do you defend her so much? She’s nothing more than a mud blood!!” Sohee screamed.

“ Because unlike you, she has more manner than any of you will ever have...Because she has wok her heart out to fit in this family when she doesn’t need to” Yuuki said coldly.

“ I will never accept her as my family you hear me!”Sohee exclaimed. “ I don’t care what you think this mud blood will never be part of my family” sohee said while pointing at seohyun.

Seohyun couldn’t help but to feel her tears slowly falling. She wanted to run away but yuuki grabbed her hand firmly. “ If you don’t accept seohyun as part of your family then that means you are not my daughter because like it or not seohyun is part of my family!”

“ What do you always defend her grandpa” Maylee intercept since her aunt sohee seemed to be in so much tears to defend herself. “She’s not even that special”

“ What do I have to do for you to accept me huh?” seohyun said focusing her whole attention to Kwon Sohee. Its amazing how she manage to speak even though she felt like her heart was being ripped apart but she has to end with this war. She wants to be accepted, to be love and to be respected and she’s willing to do anything for that. 

“ You will do anything?” Sohee repeated. “ Very well, in six months the tournament to decide who will be the best among the four nations will be decided...If you are able to win first place I will gladly take every insult I have said to you and I will accept you in to the kwon family”

“ That will be easy, seohyun has never lost and she’s the best female fighter among the whole four nations. Certainly she will win the girl’s division tournament” seungri whisper excited.

“ Who said that she has to win the girl’s division only?” Sohee smirked. “ You will have to battle against the best male fighter who wins the male division”

“ That’s going to far sohee!” Jaejoong growled. “ you know Jiyong has never lost a battle and what you’re trying to do is making my son and daughter fight each other!”

“ Seohyun said she would do anything to be accepted to this family didn’t she? Well there is my condition” Sohee smirked.

“ I accept!” seohyun said with determination. “ But when I win, you have to keep your part”

“ I will but I just hope that jiyong does not let you win easily.” Sohee said silently forgetting that jiyong will do about anything for his own sister. “ Now that I think about it, I guess it will be unfair if you fight with jiyong, for he will let you win”

“ We can make an arrangement, jiyong will not participate in this year’s competition and let another male win for this year’s tournament. The one who win’s in the male division will be the one that will go against seohyun” Jaejoong suggested. Even though he’s hard at expressing his feelings towards seohyun, he knows this is the perfect opportunity for her to be able to be accepted in to his family. He hates seeing her cry, and at the same time he cannot help but to feel guilty for he has always push seohyun to her limits so she can be able to meet his family’s demands.

“ That its fine by me is it fine by you seohyun?” Sohee said satisfy with her brother’s suggestion. Certainly seohyun is not strong enough for the earth family yet and the tournament will be the day of a full moon where the earth people get most of their powers.

Seohyun just stayed quiet for a moment. “ It...It’s fine with me” Seohyun finally said hoping this will be the last test she will have to make to prove she’s worthy of the kwon family.

“ Are you sure seohyun?”  Yuuki asked once more, trying to give her granddaughter another chance to retract her words. “ you don’t have to prove anything anymore, you will always be part of this family no matter what”

Seohyun just shook her head. “ No grandpa. I want to do this, if winning this tournament is the price I have to pay to be accepted, I will pay it” seohyun said with a smile. Seohyun knows what her grandpa is thinking, and she herself thought about it too but she knows that if she backs down, Sohee will use this excuse to bully her again. If seohyun was true to her self, she wants to feel loved like her other cousins, she wants to feel loved and adored. Yonghwa will find out she’s a kwon anyways, and he will most likely hate her either way so mind as well fight with him the day of the tournament and give him the chance to revenge himself. 

Jaejoong just nodded in understanding. “ Very well, I just hope you don’t regret it later..”

A/N: Wahhhhh soooooo long time since I haven’t updated!!! >.<..Sorry for my long hiatus dear readers but college has really gotten me busy this day...Well that and I had a writer’s blocked after I lost my flash drive where it contained all my ideas for this fic T_T... Starting over surely , but oh well, hope you guys haven’t given up on me yet and please comment and tell me what you think J
