Diddy
Be My EscapeI walked up to my room and closed myself away from the rest of the world. I opened my closet and took out an old box of books I hid underneath the piles of clothes. There was a book I used to read every night before I went to sleep; a hand-written book. It was a gift from the one who gave me courage to be who I ended up becoming. I dug through the books for it and let out a sigh of relief when I found it. I touched the old hard cover and traced the name that was carved into it. Diddy. I opened the first page and started reading it.
She used to write down every quote she found on that book. And she was very good at making quotes too. Her motto used to be “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about learning how to dance in the rain”. Soon it became mine too.
"You can't wait for the world to change, Jiwoo-ya" she used to say, "You have to try your best to change your world."
As I kept reading, I trailed her writing.
“There is always some madness in love. But there is also always some reason in madness.” ~ Friedrich Nietzsche, "On Reading and Writing"
German philosopher (1844 - 1900)
That used to be one of her favourite quotes. As I read through the book for the first time, I noticed the same quote written at least ten times through-out the book. She really liked it.
"LOVE is not just a four letter word,
LOVE is not only a noun, but also a verb.
LOVE only happens when two people who are right for each other meets together,
then, promise to be together forever.
LOVE brings people together
LOVE wins over every emotion.
because...
LOVE was sent from above to feel, share and hold onto forever." ~Diddy
I laughed at this quote. I was pretty sure she wrote this when she started dating her boyfriend. They were really cute together. Everyone just knew that someday they’d get married and have a beautiful family life. Diddy was a wonderful person. Everyone got along with her. I was jealous when I found out that someone else that’s not me was taken her away.
"Someday, your prince will come and sweep you off your feet. That day, I'll be the one to complain and say, 'no way you're taking my girl away f
