The rest of the week after Jaehwan and Taekwoon made up was torturously slow. The rumors were easily dispelled, much to everyone's disbelief, but it hadn't been easy for Taekwoon. Jinsu used every possible opportunity to cling to Taekwoon, and he could do nothing about it. No matter how much he wanted to push her away and tell everyone the truth, he couldn't.

Jaehwan was suffering more than Taekwoon. He had to watch Jinsu and Taekwoon act like they were happy with each other. As much as Jaehwan didn't want to admit it, the two of them would make a really good couple if they were actually dating. Jaehwan hated how the girl he liked for so long, maybe even loved at one point, only had eyes for his best friend, and was getting his attention in the wrong way.

It was Friday evening, and the two boys were sprawled out on the couch in Taekwoon's living room. Well, Jaehwan was sprawled out with one of his legs in Taekwoon's lap, and Taekwoon was just sitting with a slight slouch. They had been like that for ten minutes, not a single word spoken between the two of them. It was in this silence that Jaehwan came to a realization.

"Hey, Taekwoon?" Jaehwan continued when his friend faced him. "Today's Valentine's Day, isn't it?"

"That would explain why Jinsu was more clingy today than she was the rest of the week." Taekwoon frowned. "I didn't even realize that it was today."

"Well, it doesn't matter anyway. It's not like either of us have a Valentine. Unlike Hakyeon and Wonshik. Those two are probably making out somewhere right now."

"They probably are, but why should us not having Valentines stop us?"

"What?" Jaehwan was completely confused. "Don't tell me you're planning on going out with a random girl!"

"No, idiot." Taekwoon sighed. "I meant that we should still be able to eat a lot of chocolate."

Jaehwan spent the next five minutes laughing. He forgot about Taekwoon's love for food and sweets. Right when Jaehwan thought he was going to stop laughing, he took one look at his friend's face and started laughing again. Annoyed, Taekwoon pushed Jaehwan off of the couch, but that didn't stop his laughter. Taekwoon felt defeated, and he just crossed his arms and pouted, trying to ignore Jaehwan.

"That's a great point! I'll go get that bag of M&M's in the pantry. You guys still haven't opened it, right?" Jaehwan walked over to the kitchen right when Taekwoon threw a couch cushion at him. "Here you go."

Jaehwan handed the bag to Taekwoon and plopped onto the couch beside him. Taekwoon slowly hugged the bag closer to him, and Jaehwan groaned. He knew that Taekwoon wouldn't be entirely willing to share, but he had hoped that he could get some chocolate without a struggle. Jaehwan should've taken out a handful of M&M's before he handed the bag to Taekwoon.

Taekwoon reached his hand into the bag and pulled out a handful of M&M's. He glanced at Jaehwan, at the M&M's in his hand, and back at Jaehwan before he shoved all of the little chocolates in his mouth. Jaehwan began whining, but Taekwoon refused to give him any. When Jaehwan reached for the bag, Taekwoon became defensive and tried scooting away from Jaehwan, holding the bag far away from him.

"That's not fair!" Jaehwan kept trying to reach for the bag, crawling over Taekwoon's legs to reach it.

"It's my chocolate. I don't have to share." Taekwoon pushed at Jaehwan's chest to prevent him from getting closer.

"Mine!" Jaehwan drew back and lunged for the bag, turning their slight struggle into an all out war.

The two of them rolled off of the couch, and Taekwoon held the bag above his head, just out of Jaehwan's reach. Jaehwan sat up on his knees and grabbed Taekwoon's arm, trying to force the bag of M&M's closer. Taekwoon used his free arm and tickled Jaehwan's side, and the latter instinctively curled up to try and avoid anymore tickling. Taekwoon took his chance and flipped them over, holding the bag up in the air.

"Taekwoon!" Jaehwan watched as his friend reached into the bag and pulled out another handful of M&M's, shoving them all in his mouth without hesitation. "You have to share!"

Taekwoon looked down at Jaehwan, still chewing on his chocolate. He gave the latter a calculating look before shaking his head. Jaehwan mentally threw a tantrum before sitting up, bumping noses with Taekwoon in the process. They both drew back slightly, and Jaehwan rubbed his nose while Taekwoon crinkled his. Taekwoon was still holding the bag above his head, and Jaehwan reached for it again. Taekwoon finally gave in and lowered the bag, slightly smiling when Jaehwan's face lit up as he did so.

"Finally!" Jaehwan grabbed a handful of the little pieces of chocolate and placed the bag on the floor as he ate the M&M's he had worked so hard for. "Thank you!"

Jaehwan smiled up at his friend, but it didn't take long for it to slowly fade away. Taekwoon knew why. He had been all too aware of their position, but he had tried to ignore it. The two of them just stared at each other, not knowing what to do. Jaehwan began looking around the living room, and Taekwoon watched him. Neither of them made a move to stand.

Taekwoon had ended up straddling Jaehwan when the latter was trying to get the bag of M&M's. The position ended up being a little more intimate when Jaehwan had decided to sit up. Taekwoon was on his knees and sitting in Jaehwan's lap, and one of Jaehwan's hands was resting on the former's thigh from when he reached for the bag for the last time. Jaehwan realized this and removed his hand, placing it on the floor instead.

When Jaehwan moved his hand, the spot it had been resting on remained warm, and Taekwoon couldn't ignore it. Tingling sensations began running up his leg, and Taekwoon saw Jaehwan's fingers lightly brushing against his knee cap. Jaehwan didn't seem aware of this since he was closely inspecting the ceiling. Taekwoon dared to let his eyes trail from his friend's face to his neck. He was intensely staring at Jaehwan's neck, horrified at the thoughts that suddenly invaded his mind. Despite them, he still couldn't bring himself to move away.

His self control was slipping, and Taekwoon found himself leaning in. He couldn't muster up the strength to get off of Jaehwan and walk away. A sigh left his lips just before they came into contact with Jaehwan's neck, and Jaehwan froze before letting out a breathy gasp. That was what made Taekwoon aware of what he was doing, and he leaned back and hurried to his feet, avoiding eye contact with Jaehwan.

Jaehwan slowly stood as well, and he went back to awkwardly inspecting the living room, making sure to keep his head low this time. His neck burned where Taekwoon's lips were, but he couldn't help but think that it felt oddly pleasant. He mentally slapped his face for thinking like that, and he made sure to mentally slap his friend as well. They were friends, and friends don't do those kind of things to each other on purpose.

Taekwoon stole a glance at Jaehwan's face and noticed that it was incredibly red. The thought of it being cute crossed his mind, but he quickly dismissed that thought. Right after the two of them made up, Taekwoon did something stupid like that. Hakyeon might be right. Maybe Taekwoon was trying to lose Jaehwan. Taekwoon was quick to dismiss that thought as well. He would never ruin their friendship on purpose.

"Um...Taekwoon...?" Jaehwan kept his eyes on the floor as he spoke. "Why did you...do that...?"

"I...because it's Valentine's Day..." Taekwoon refused to let his voice turn that statement into a question.

"Oh...that makes sense..." Jaehwan knew it wasn't the reason, but he decided to let it go. He didn't want to be in the situation any longer. "So...let's watch a movie!"

Jaehwan bounded over to the shelf that held all of Taekwoon's movies, trying to act like his normal, chipper self. Taekwoon was relieved that Jaehwan let the topic drop, and he sat on the couch, bag of M&M's back in his hand. He let Jaehwan pick the movie, and he rolled his eyes at the choice. It was a horror movie. Taekwoon understood that Jaehwan picked it because it was basically the opposite of romance movies, which would have made the situation worse, but Jaehwan hated horror movies. Jaehwan got scared easily, and Taekwoon knew that the former would spend more time cowering behind a couch cushion than actually watching the movie.

"You really want to watch that?" Taekwoon raised an eyebrow when Jaehwan nodded. "Whatever."

Taekwoon was right, and Jaehwan ended up screaming into the couch cushion that he desperately clung to. In the end, he couldn't concentrate on the movie because Jaehwan's screams were getting louder and louder. Taekwoon gave up on trying to ignore the screams, and he scooted closer to Jaehwan. He placed a hand on his shoulder, and Jaehwan swatted it away, screaming his loudest scream of all. Taekwoon sighed when Jaehwan threw the cushion at him, and he waited for the latter to stop glaring at him.

"Come here." Taekwoon held his arms out, and Jaehwan immediately crawled over, wrapping his arms around Taekwoon's waist and burying his head in the space between his neck and shoulder. "Now stop screaming so that I can watch the movie."

Jaehwan let out a muffled 'ok', and Taekwoon returned his attention to the movie. After a few minutes, he realized that Jaehwan was slightly shaking, so he tightened his grip around his friend. Jaehwan relaxed slightly, and Taekwoon couldn't help but smile. He couldn't stop the words that barely escaped his lips.

"Stop being so cute."

"What?"

"Nothing."

Taekwoon wanted nothing more than to punch himself.

A/N: Ok, in all honesty, I didn't want to do a chapter on Valentine's Day because, well, loner here. But I figured that since I hadn't updated in about two weeks, I needed to write a chapter that would make you guys happy. So yeah, that happened.

Taekwoon needs to keep his hormones in check, for real. But he thinks that Jaehwan is cute now, so that's progress, I guess.
