When you are an idol with millions of fans around the world, keeping your relationship secret is hard, but can be one of the most exciting things that you could do. Besides, what’s more fun than knowing something that others don’t? When Baekhyun and Eunji became an official couple, Baekhyun devised what he entitled ‘the ultimate dating plan’ in his head (for public dates). Of course, it was more fun and much easier since some of s were also dating Eunji’s members.

STEP 1: Confirm the date

When Baekhyun had found out that EXO was going to be attending the Golden Disk Awards, the first thing that he did was to call his girlfriend, Eunji.

“Yeoboseyo?”

“Eunji-yah! Is APINK going to the Golden Disk Awards?”

“We don’t know yet. Wae? Is EXO attending?”

“Yup. And if you’re going, you know what that means, right?”

“I get to see some really hot guys?”

Baekhyun knew that Eunji was just teasing him so he decided to play along with it.

“Particularly…”

“BEAST?”

“Ddaeng!”

“B1A4?”

“Ddaeng!”

“Infinite?”

“Ddaeng!”

“Can I get a clue?”

“There’s twelve wolves…”

“Ahhh…EXO?”

“And we have a winner!”

“What’s so special about them? I see those guys way too much…”

“Yah! How can you get tired of seeing my face?”

“Who says that I’m talking about you? I was talking about Joonmyun…”

“Geurae? I’m telling Chorong!”

“Eyyy…Namchin! You’re no fun…I was just playing with you…”

“Ahrasso. When you know your schedule, text me!”

“Okay!”

They hung up at the same time, and twenty minutes later, while they were eating their dinner, Joonmyun got a phone call. APINK’s UYOU began to play and Joonmyun excused himself from the dinner. When he emerged five minutes later, he fist pumped the hand with his phone into the air.

“Mark your calendars boys. 16^th of January! It’s date night!”

“APINK’s going to the Golden Disk Awards?”

“Yep!”

Baekhyun whipped out his phone and saw that there was a new text message from Eunji telling him the same thing. He quickly replied that it was going to be another memorable date while he glanced over at Kyungsoo, Jongdae and Sehun who were also busy typing away on their phones.

STEP 2: Meet at the venue

After the photographs were taken outside of the venue, all the artists were preparing for their stages backstage. Baekhyun was going over his plan for the rest of the night in his head while they were in their waiting rooms. Some of the members were practising their moves or singing in the sides of the room, but Baekhyun was just staring at his phone.

“Baekhyun!”

“Yeah?”

“The longer you stare at that thing, the longer time is going to drag out! Come on! You’ve done this multiple times…everything’s going to go off without a hitch…”

Baekhyun got up from where he was sitting and then decided to go over and annoy Chanyeol. All of a sudden Baekhyun hears Chanyeol gasp, and someone tap him on his shoulder. He turns around and comes face to face with his girlfriend, and then pulls her into a tight hug, as he whispers into her ear, “I missed you…”

She pulls back with a grin on her face. “Wae? We saw each other at the Idol Sports Championships, for like a whole day…”

Baekhyun didn’t respond and instead, pulls her back in for another hug, but Sehun ruins their moment.

“Noona? You came by yourself?”

“Eo. Looking for Hayoung?”

“Yah! Go look for your girlfriend yourself, and don’t interrupt us!”

Baekhyun playfully hit Sehun away, as their manager came to the door.

“Guys, the opening number starts in ten minutes. Get ready.”

Eunji tugs on Baekhyun’s jacket to get his attention.

“I’ll see you later?”

“Eung…”

She gave him a kiss on the cheek and then walked to the door as she said “EXO fighting!”

“APINK fighting!”

STEP 3: Play it cool

When APINK walked onto the stage, Baekhyun couldn’t keep his eyes off of them. Thank God that they were towards the back, or else he might have been caught. There was nothing going through his mind besides him wanting to spend time with her, but they were at a workplace and they needed to be professional.

Despite only the thought of dating on his mind, Baekhyun was able to pull out another amazing performance. Of course, he had his inspiration watching him backstage, so he needed to look suave and cool. When it was APINK’s performance, he couldn’t get over the fact that they looked like angels in white, and when they performed H.O.T’s Happiness, he couldn’t help but think Eunji was the cutest thing alive.

Internally, he was screaming and fanboying, but he couldn’t risk getting caught by s. They had recently moved the target away from him and onto Kyungsoo, and he didn’t want to be teased anymore. He had to suppress his smile, and his turning insides by tapping his hand against his knee and biting the inside of his mouth.

When APINK won the bonsang, all the EXO members gave standing ovation backstage and high-fived each other.

He couldn’t help but blurt out, “Yeokshi, our girls are the trend nowadays!” while the rest of the members side-eyed each other with a mischievous smirk.

STEP 4: Rendezvous backstage

In between the performances, Baekhyun and Eunji would sneak into each other’s waiting rooms. It wasn’t that hard considering that APINK and EXO’s rooms were right next to each other. In fact, the girls practically stayed over with EXO when they were at the same venue.

Baekhyun and Eunji secluded themselves in a corner, with Eunji sitting on his lap while they whispered to each other.

“I want to kiss you right now…”

“Why don’t you?”

“I feel like they’re all staring at us…”

“Let them…”

“I will, but I’ll hold myself together…for now…I’ll save it for later…”

He winked at her and she wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him, her back facing everyone else. The single EXO members groaned. They needed to get themselves a girlfriend too.

STEP 5: Alone time

When the event had finished, Baekhyun was able to steal some time away for him and Eunji before they all had to go back to their dorms. They sat in the open air, side by side, with Eunji leaning her head on his shoulder. She yawned.

“Tired?”

“A little…”

“We should get you home, then…”

She nodded her head.

“But now before you give me the kiss you promised…”

Baekhyun looked into her eyes for a few seconds before giving her a soft kiss.

“Hmmm…this was a good night…”

“Baby goodnight, jaljayou, goodnight…” Eunji began to sing enthusiastically.

Baekhyun clicked his tongue. “Eyyy…why are you singing another guy’s song in front of me?”

She pat his head and gave him a kiss on the corner of his mouth. “Always the jealous one…ahrasso…I won’t do it again.”

They held hands and Baekhyun walked her back to where her members were waiting for her. Before they parted, Eunji whispered, “Good night, baby…” before running away into the company van.

Baekhyun quickly took out his phone and typed.

Yah! Eunji-yah! Can you record that and then send it to me? It’ll match with my Good Morning Baby alarm…”
