Chapter 23

Young Kwan walked from one end to another as he tried to find a plan in order to get Jiyong to agree. He knew Jiyong would never agree to this and therefore he had to think of a devious plan to lure his son into the game. He eyed his son through the window watching him intently. The latter was busy typing something into the computer with the perfect grin on his face. He has never seen his son this happy and he had no idea if it was the job or something else.

Softly knocking on the door, he walked inside. "Jiyong son, can we talk?" He didn't want to use Jiyong in his trap. He clearly knew Kin Ji was playing him. Did the guy think he was stupid?

"Neh Appa. What's up?" Jiyong eyed his father as the man headed towards the chair in front of him.

"I just received a call from a reporter. He clearly knows what occurred in the past and is ready to publish it. Our business has been really hit with financial problems and we're losing out on stakeholders. I didn't want to worry you but I don't have anyone else to discuss this with. I don't want the business to suffer any longer so I decided to sign a contract with the Lee's." He waited for his son to explode on him but nothing happened. His eyes scanned his son’s stoic expression for a minute before the boy opened his mouth.

"I don't mind. That way you show them you’re sincerely apology Appa. They really deserve it. What we did to them in the past was out of proportions..." Mr Lee's mouth hanged open wide hearing his son. He expected a harsh response or even yelling but wow he was surprised.

"Jiyong by signing a contract...I mean by marrying his daughter." He spoke slowly.
