Chapter Twenty-Five ✿ Lost

“Goodnight Jinnie it’s time for you to catch up on your slee-“

“When I wake up will you still be here?” Jinnie interrupts before Jiyong could put him to sleep. “Hm, we’ll have to see. I need to catch up on some sleep as well-“

“Then you can take a nap with me appa” Just being able to hear Jinnie call him appa, Jiyong couldn’t hide the smile his face. You remained standing by the door watching the interaction from afar between the father and son; you didn’t really want to ruin the rare moment. “Eomma, can appa sleep on our bed?” you heard the faint voice - Now the attention was on you, Jinnie had his pleading eyes and Jiyong had his apologetic eyes… as if you can’t say no to your son? Instead of giving a reply you decided to give a simple nod, making the two smile “But in one condition” you suddenly requested. “The two of you really have to sleep and get some rest okay? Deal?” you asked.

Watching Jinnie snuggle closer to Jiyong was amusing to see, they’re both so clingy. “Eomma, can you tuck me and appa into bed please.” the little one demanded rather than asking. Complying with the young master’s request you tucked the boys into bed, you could tell Jiyong was getting embarrass with the mummy treatment but hey; you knew he secretly liked it. “Sleep tight now, I’ll be preparing breakfast for halmeoni and harabeoji, night boys.”

Walking out to the kitchen you greeted you parents who seemed to have started their morning a lot early than usual. “Eomma, why are you up early?” you couldn’t help but wonder.

“Are they okay?” she simply replied, ignoring your question. “Uh yeah, Kook and Jinnie had fun last night, we all did. Jinnie just woke up earlier so I finally got him to sleep again-“

“No, we mean Jiyong and Jinnie. How did Jinnie handle the situation?” she asked. You couldn’t help but look completely dumbfounded. “Sorry dear, but you guys weren’t as quiet as you thought you were.” Your dad added. “Ahh… well you don’t mind the two in the bedroom right?” you couldn’t help but ask “It’s your bedroom and Jinnie’s both your child, you don’t have to ask us for permission Sera-ah” your mum comforted.

As you were helping your mother with breakfast and just chatting with both your parents on the dining table you decided to just tell them what happened earlier this morning with Jinnie and Jiyong. “So now that Jinnie knows what’s your next plan?” your dad asked. “I… well Jiyong and I need to figure it out, we weren’t exactly ready to tell Jinnie. He just found out while we were in the process of planning.” You explained, “Also, I hope you guys aren’t hoping for Jiyong and I to get back together. We’re both seeing someone else.”

Your parents could only sigh after hearing that. “Eomma… appa, we just thought it was best to let Jinnie know while he was still young. To be honest I would hate to miss the timing on letting him know, what if we waited until he was in High School? I know he would react opposite from how he did earlier this morning. At least he has someone to call appa now…” You honestly couldn’t help but feel really emotional.

“Let’s just hope that it doesn't become anymore complicated. We understand that your both seeing someone else but what happens when one of you end up liking the other again? One of you are just going to hurt-“

“That’s why we have a line, one that we shouldn’t cross. We are Jinyoung’s parents but we have different partners- … it’s complicated I know but after me and Jiyong figure it out we’ll let you know okay?” you reassured “if you excuse me I’m going to take a break for a bit” you excused yourself leaving your parents alone. “Yeobo, you know she wouldn’t have agreed to that if she didn’t like him right?” your mum whispered softly, “Of course she wouldn’t and right now she’s just hurting herself.” Your dad sighed.  

As you entered your bedroom you were laying out a futon onto the ground, Jiyong got up from the bed “Just sleep next to Jinnie, I’ll move over there instead” you weren’t exactly in the mood to talk to you just ignored his words and lied down “Ji, I think we should figure out the situation now that Jinnie knows… when we’re ready too… what do you think?” you asked while facing your back to him.
