Chapter 52

"What? Watch over me?" I glanced at Jiyong who was just as shocked as i was. I turned my head back to N. "Why?"

He looked down at me and shrugged. "I'm just following orders".

"Whose orders?" Jiyong said as he grabbed my hand, giving it a little squeeze while looking at N.

"Who do you think? Seraphina's, of course" He sighed and sat down at the end of my bed. "I don't know the main reason behind why we were watching over her, but there are other vampires who wants to hurt her".

"You mean, except from you?" Jiyong asked in a sarcastic tone.

N rolled his eyes. "Yes. We were a little bit too late last night, but we witnessed the whole thing".

"What about Yongguk?" I asked as i leaned forward, but Jiyong quickly pulled me back. "Hyuna said you hurt him?"

"Ah..." N lightly chuckled while scratching the back of his head. "Those teenagers that were in the music room. They were being a little too intimate and accidently broke a vase that cut him or something. Junsu smelled the blood and followed the source, and.. he just couldn't help himself. But he's fine, and his memory is gone. He doesn't remember a thing". 

"Now that that is cleared, let's go back to the topic about you watching over her. Why the hell are you watching over her?" Jiyong said as he sat down next to me, wrapping his arms around me.

That didn't go unnoticed by N, because a smirk formed on his lips and he crossed his arms. "You two are totally doing it, aren't you?" Jiyong tensed up and removed his arms away from me. N shook his head, quietly laughing to himself. "Thought so. Well, it's not up to me if you date or not, that is Seraphina's deal. But my task is to watch over her, and the same thing goes for the others too. We aren't all too happy about it, because following a human girl around all day is quite boring, i must admit. But that's beside the point. Let me ask you, Jiyong, why would i take the time to get a knife and stab her when i could easily just bite into her neck, and it would be done?"

"Because a human was with her".

N nodded. "Exactly. A human. A human who was right next to her when she was stabbed" N looked at me. "You remember what happened, don't you?"

I slowly nodded as i lowered my head while Jiyong was looking at me. "I remember..."
