Chapter 51

My eyes shot open as i felt something wet against my arm, but i quickly closed them as the bright light almost blinded me. I could hear someone talking, but i had no idea who the voices belonged to, or what he or she was saying. There was a smell entering my nosetrils, a mix of something sweet, and then something that smelled like... vomit. I could even taste it in my mouth as i quickly moved into a sitting position, putting my hand over my mouth. A small bucket was placed in front of me and i shivered as a hand came in contact with my back, gently rubbing it.

I looked up at the person who placed the bucket down next to the bed as he handed me some tissues so i could wipe my mouth, but the taste was still there. Jiyong smiled gently at me as he sat down on the chair, wrapping his hand around my tiny hand, bringing it up to his lips and kissing it. Behind him i could see Jonghyun, Chaerin, Zico and Sehun watching me. My eyes stopped at Sehun and i immediately frowned.

"Feeling a little better?" I moved my gaze from Sehun to Jiyong.

"Uh... y-yeah. I was stabbed, right?"

Jiyong looked down at me, gazing into my eyes. "Yes. By robbers" He said, putting extra pressure on the word 'robbers', as if he was giving me some sort of sign. And that's when i realized it. Those people we ran into in the school hallway weren't people at all. They were vampires, and i had met three of them before. N, Jaejoong, Junsu and the fourth one. "How do you feel after the surgery?"

That caught my attention back and i snapped my head up at him. "Surgery?!" I shouted and jumped up, but i quickly fell back down as i clutched onto my stomach, feeling the pain come back. 

"Easy there, love" Jiyong said as he pushed my shoulders gently down onto the pillow. "Don't move around too much, and you'll be fine".

I nodded as i moved my gaze at the four figures behind Jiyong. Chaerin smiled at me. "We'll come back when you feel better" She said and waved at me.

"Remember not to do anything too risky" Jonghyun smiled at me before looking down at Jiyong. "That goes for you too" Jiyong looked up at him with a confused expression. "You heard what the doctor say, she can't do any... activites for at least two weeks".

Jiyong rolled his eyes. "I heard the doctor clearly, thank you".

He nodded as he pulled Zico out of the room with him. Sehun stayed still for a few minutes, hands in his pockets as he looked at me with an unreadable expression. He quickly headed for the door when Jiyong gave him a glare, clearly telling him to leave now. "Do they know about us?" I asked once the door was closed. "N and the other vampires, i mean".

He sighed and shrugged. "I don't know. But what bothers me is... why didn't they finish you off? They would never ever leave a human, knowing there is a chance she is still alive. It just doesn't make sense why they would run away so fast without making sure".
