“What are you doing here?” A cold and indifferent voice pulled me out of my thoughts.
I opened my eyes and there he was. Standing in front of me.
“I-I..” I began, trying to form words, but I just couldn't.
2 years. I waited 2 years, and here he is standing in front of me, but the only difference now is that I don't think he'll come
back to me.
“Save it, just get back inside.” He coldly said, before turning around and walking away.
“Yoong wait.” I somehow managed to call out to him. He stopped for a bit, but then just kept walking, like he didn't even
hear my voice.
“Let me explain..” I said as his back entered the giant mansion, leaving me out here alone.
*sigh* Yoongie...what happened? Why were you so cold to me just now? It was like you weren't even my usual Im choding,
but someone else. Where is my dorky and warm Yoongie?
Starting to feel the night air get to me, I walked back inside the mansion. When I got inside, I notice taeny chatting with
Yoong.
I watched the three of them for a bit. It was like the Yoong I know is back, the smiling and happy go lucky guy.
“Hey guys.” I joined the three, and Yoong's face became cold and indifferent again.
“Oh Jessi there you are, looks whose back.” Tiffany gave me a nudge, and then a playful wink.
“Yeah, we just saw each other.” I managed a small smile.
“I see.” The mood was now completely awkward.
We all stood in a deafening silence until an unfamiliar voice called out to Yoong.
“Yoong oppa~” the girl called out, and latched herself onto Yoong.
Oppa? Really? Wow~ girl please back up!
“Oh Hyunnie, I was just about to look for you.” Yoong smiled at the girl, now known as Hyunnie. Tch what kind of name is
Hyunnie? That sounds like an ugly teddy bears name.
“*ahem*” Tae cleared his throat.
“Ah that's right, Tae, Tiffany, and Sic...Jessica, this is Seo Juhyun, daughter of Mr. Seo, CEO of S.H Hotels, and my
girlfriend. And Hyunnie this is my cousin Taeng, his girlfriend Tiffany, and Tiffany's best friend Jessica.” Yoong smiled at
that girl after introducing us.
Girlfriend? She's his girlfriend? Why? How? Someone, please tell me it's not true or wake me up from this nightmare.
“Hello my name is Seo Juhyun, but please just call me Seohyun, it's nice to meet you all, especially you Jessica unnie.”
That girl gave me smile.
Why are you smiling at me for? Jeez~ stop smiling at me like we're friends.
“It's nice to meet you too Seohyun, but how do you know I'm older than you?” I looked at her.
“Oh Yoong oppa used to talk a lot about you.” She explained.
He used to talk about me^^ but wait it's past tense, so he doesn't anymore....
“Also, I'm not Yoong oppa's girlfriend.” She added.
Yes! I thought so, Yoong wouldn't go for that type of girl. Prim and proper. Boring~~~
“But you want to right?” Yoong playfully winked at her, before snaking his hand around her waist, pulling her closer to his
side.
He used to do that to me too.
! I hate this! I hate it! I hate it!
It hurts so damn much that it feels like someone is stabbing my heart over and over again.
So, I just left the table without uttering another word.

I got back home and changed into my pajamas and climbed into bed.
I tried to get some sleep, but every time I closed my eyes I saw them. I saw how he looked warmly and lovingly at her like
he did to me, and how cold and indifferent he now looked at me.
I was on the verge of tears when I heard the door bell ring. Having a bit of hope that it might be him, I got up and opened
the door.
“Oh hey Tiff.” I forced a small smile.
“Jessi hey, I just wanted to make sure you were alright.” Tiffany gave me a worried look.
“Of course I am, why wouldn't I be.” I tried to sound normal.
“Jessi, you may have fooled TaeTae, but not me. So just tell me the truth.” Tiffany looked at me softly.
Tiffany definitely knows me too well, that's why I love my best friend, because I don't need to say anything, and she'll know
right away how I feel.
Which is why my walls always break and crumble down when I talk to her about my problems.
“Tiff~” I cried, and she hugged me, while I let the hurt and pain out.
“Shhhhh Jessi I know, just let it out.” Tiffany comforted me.
After my sobs subsided and I calmed down a bit, Tiffany spoke.
“You still love him right?” Tiffany asked, wiping the left over tears with a tissue.
“Yeah, I still and will always love him.” I told her the truth.
“Then you shouldn't act like you've lost the game.”
“What are you talking about Tiff?”
“I mean go to him. Tell him everything. Tell him what really happened 2 years ago, before that girl wins his heart.”
“I already tried that...” I revealed
“When?” She asked.
“Earlier at the dinner, when we first saw each other again.”
“And he didn't listen to you?” Tiff asked and I nodded my head and explained how cold he was to me.
“Tiff, I don't think that he loves me anymore.” I told her.
“Jessi, just because he was being like that, it doesn't mean that he doesn't care for you anymore.”
“He obviously doesn't since he moved on.” I bitterly remarked.
“Just be patient and keep trying. I know that he still loves you.” Tiffany smiled.
“I wish that was true.”
After talking with Tiffany for another half hour or so, she left since it was getting late.
I crawled into bed and laid down on my back, thinking about our memories together. From the time when he pulled that
mean prank on me, to when he became my mystery man, to the time when we became close, to when I ran away to be with
him. I just thought about everything we shared.
“Do you think of me too Yoongie? Do you think of us?” I asked, while looking at the selca we took on our first date. It was
just a simple picture, I was smiling at the camera, but you...you were smiling so lovingly while gazing at me. Your smile
was so warm that I felt secured just by seeing it.

A week passed, and not once did I run into you. It feels weird, knowing that your here but yet I don't get to see you. I don't
even know what's more painful, you being gone for 2 years or you being here but not by my side.
Pushing away my thoughts, I focused back on the paperwork on my desk.
“Ms. Jung, your father requested you to come to the board room.” Min called from the intercom.
“Alright, I'll be right there.” I replied.
I wonder what daddy wants to talk about.
Putting the file off to the side, I got up and walked towards the board room. When I got inside I was shocked to see him
there.
“Dad you called for me?”
“Yes Sooyeon, sit down. We have a lot to discuss about.” My dad smiled and I took a seat across from him.
“Now, since our companies have always been close I as well as Ji-hoon wanted to ask you two to work together for a
special project.” my dad began.
“What type of project?” Yoong asked, not even taking a glance at me.
“Well, you two will work together to plan and create the new amusement park that we want to create.” my dad said with a
playful glint in his eyes.
“What?! Dad why an amusement park? That's totally irrelevant to the type of business we do.” I countered.
“Exactly, which is why the public will anticipate what kind of amusement park we will create. Interesting right?” Daddy
explained.
“Yeah.”
“When will we start?” Yoong asked.
“Now, would be good.” My dad smiled at him.
“Alright then.” Yoong agreed.
“Great, so you two will be working in the 7th floor. Your offices are one in the same. As for your staff, we're still recruiting a
few more people, so try to hold out for another week or two.”
“Alright, but what about our other work?” I asked.
“Don't worry, your uncle and I can handle that.” My dad smiled, before leaving Yoong and I alone.
Yoong and I sat in silence for a bit, when he abruptly got up and started to head towards the door.
“Where are you going?” I asked him.
“To work, we need to get this over job over with. I don't want my appa to take all my work load while I waste time with you.”
He chided before leaving the room.
Wasting time? Is that what he thinks now whenever he's with me.....
Calming down my emotions, I also exited the board room and headed down to the 7th floor of the building.
When I entered, Yoong was already in our office typing away. The moment my landed on the chair he stopped typing
and looked at me.
“Yes?” I asked.
“It's done.” He said.
“What is?” I asked
“The layout and themes for the park, it's finished. We just need to get it built.” He said.
“Can I see it?”
“I already e-mailed it to you.” He quickly replied, while grabbing the things he brought.
“I see.”
“Just take a look at it, make any changes you want, I don't really care. I'll be going now.” He said while he walked towards
the door, not even smiling or looking at me for more than 5 seconds.
“Uh okay bye.” I said after the door shut. He probably didn't even hear me.
I opened up the plan and layout that Yoong came up with and looked through it carefully. And it surprised me. The layout
and the themes were almost perfect, but they were missing the one thing that every amusement park should have: care
and warmth.
