Vases of roses brought across the room, placed on the table, people rushed to the other part of the room and utensils clicking everywhere. It was a busy day, everyone was preparing and the press were kept to a limited amount. More private, just family, friends and those around them; the perfect wedding spent with those who meant to them. Her hair was brushed softly and she kept glancing out to sea outside, the weather was great.

Her fingers kept playing with each other as her eyes turned back to the mirror to see her own reflection. She slipped into the white dress and exhaled deeply, straightening herself and managed a smile. Min and Ara stared at her in awe; Kylie in white, her dress was modest. They decided to keep it so since she is after all already so hot; as they would refer her to. Kylie would never have thought that she would get marriage at such a young age.

She always thought such things were just bluffs and whatnot, never did she know that love actually is literally… Blind. She could’ve just maybe ran away and do some surgery to her face (if it was necessary) to get away from the grasp of her evil parents but she didn’t. Maybe because she knows that she wouldn’t want to marry any other man. A small knock snapped their heads to the door as Ara opened them.

“Mrs. Park.” Ara bowed

“Ara.” she nodded back

“Umm, we shall leave the two of you then.” the two hurriedly walked out of the room

Kylie’s mother hated her, and she hated her too; it was a fair game. She didn’t spoke a word when she fixed her dress and looked into her daughter’s eyes. She sat down on the couch in the corner and cleared ; her hands placed on her lap. Kylie turned to the woman and they sat there in silence for a moment or two before she opened to speak.

“You don’t look so unfortunate.” she stated

Kylie can’t help but to smile “That’s because I’m not.”

“Finally came to accept your role in the family then?”

“Not that either. I came to accept my fiancé.” she answered

“You’re in love then?”

“Yes.”

“Well then I guess I shouldn’t be worrying anymore of your role. I trust Kris is a great man and he will take care of you. Also…” the woman stood up and fixed her own dress “You’ve got a fortunate beauty.” she smirked before leaving the room. When she left, Kylie laughed because she knew her mother would never say directly that she looked beautiful; perhaps her word was more to saying she should be lucky she got her looks from her mother

“Can I come in?” a soft voice spoke

“Mrs.Wu!” Kylie was surprised “Sure.”

“Oh darling, you look beautiful.” she placed a hand on her heart

“Thank you.” Kylie returned her compliment with a smile

“Call me mom from now on.”

“It’s not official yet.” she chuckled

“Cut yourself some slack, you’ll be my daughter-in-law in a few anyway.” she caressed Kylie’s cheek “You’re wonderful, I wouldn’t have wanted any other girl for my son and I know he loves you so much Kylie.” she held in her tears “Okay, now’s not the time for tears. I brought these.” she smiled and took out the box from the bag she was holding

“Mrs.Wu I can’t.”

“Take it as a wedding gift. I bought it for my future daughter-in-law anyway, and considering I only have a son; I might as well give it all in a gift. Take it Kylie, you deserve it.”

The gift was the necklace she bought in the auction, the 2.5 million dollar necklace that Kylie would have bid for if it wasn’t for the price “Isn’t this too much?”

“Nonsense, I don’t need it.” she nodded “Let me put this on for you.”

“Okay.” Kylie sighed and turned around

“There.” they stared at her reflection “You look perfect.”

“Thank you so much, mom.” she embraced Mrs.Wu tightly and she hugged her back

“Your welcome.” she Kylie’s back softly “Now, now, it’s time. You can’t be late on your own wedding.” she kissed Kylie’s forehead and left the room
