Kylie stared at the woman before her; it’s her own reflection that is. It didn’t look like what she is in any single way. Her hair was nicely done, tied back despite of it not to her liking for looking so delicate and proper. She was wearing a short cream dress matched with the same coloured heels and everything on her screamed prim and proper.

Kris was in his room probably asleep and Kylie didn’t want to wake him up because she didn’t want to see her this way; how she was utterly different and lacked confidence now, that she was no longer and will never be the same girl who rebelled against her parents and party around anymore. She was going to become an obedient young lady who’s filial and perfect; as they claim.

She glance at herself one more time before walking out the door and heading to the lobby to wait for the white limo which is going to pick her up from the condo. Of course as she arrived downstairs, the limo was already waiting for her and the chauffeur opened the door as she enters quietly without a word. She had spoken very few words for the past hours or… days.

The car stopped by a fancy Italian Restaurant slightly out of the crowded city of Seoul, away from the noise as it was a calm and quiet place with only slightly audible sounds of people chattering away or utensils clinking. She was led inside instead of out and walked through a hallway where they always held private dinners and the waiter opened one of the door for her to reveal a fancy room with her parents seated and four empty seats to be filled.

The door closed and Kylie clears “They’re not coming?”

“Silly, of course they are. We’re just early to make sure you were coming.” Kylie figured there’s no point of arguing anymore and took a seat next to her mother carefully “Isn’t this a fine night? “Are they late? I don’t think you prefer people being late, mother.”

“No, I requested them to come around 15 minutes from now.”

“How thoughtful.”

Mrs.Park shot Kylie a look “If you dare act this way in front of them, I will not hesitate to go through with what we had talked about.”

The door clicked “This way sir.” Kylie’s back was turned to the door so she wasn’t able to see who was coming in. However, her heart had torn to pieces when she heard footsteps coming in and her parents stood up as their face lit up more than the Times Square during New Year

“You’re early.” her mother stood up and walked towards the guest

“I thought it’d be better if we were but we didn’t know you’d be earlier.” the woman replied cheerfully and Kylie was sure she had heard of the voice somewhere

“We’re glad both of you are here.” her mother exclaims
