Accident.

Coma. (Threequel to One Shot and Betrayal.)
"Target identified. He's heading up North to the Bucheon area. Keep a close eye." Youngjae reported through the police radio. Heavy helicopters and police sirens were the only thing Youngjae heard. It was as if he was dealing with a mass murder case here when in fact it was just one man. One stealthy and cunning man who had his links to create even more danger. He felt like he was going in circles catching this group.

"What do we do with his allies? Do we catch them too?" he heard Hana ask through the radio.

"Catch anyone and everyone involved. They might know something we don't." he spotted one of this man's accomplices trying to make a run for it in the forest and he immediately got into action. "I've got one attempting to escape in the forest. Jaebum stay with me. Make sure you're detecting him, he's probably hiding well." he told JB who was guiding the helicopter at that moment.

"Over and out."

By the time Youngjae got home, it was already late evening. He could see the red sun colouring the skyline and the sound of grasshoppers as the heat beat him with sweat and de-hydration.

Once he stepped into their den, he heard the sound of video games and a familiar voice muttering how he should have used the left gear first.

He instantly smiled, and made his way upstairs to the hallway where the video game player was.

The older man instantly knew who it was from his senses without even having to turn around, as he happily greeted, "Hi!" without looking away from the screen.

Youngjae bent down to his level and warmly back-hugged him. "Hey." he greeted back.

"How was work?" the Busan boy asked.

"Tiring. We haven't caught him yet." Youngjae told him, collapsing onto the floor with a sigh.

Daehyun patted him on the back. "You're working too hard, that's the problem. But I'm guessing you managed to catch 2 people today?"

"How did you know that?"

"Is that even supposed to be a question?"

Youngjae only chuckled at his comment and hugged him tighter.

"Zelo... Zelo don't touch that." Himchan's voice was heard from downstairs. The sounds of familiar pans clanging onto the stove and utensils scraping across the surface of the pan, along with the smell of food was lingering in the air.

"I wanna help!" the maknae enthusiastically shouted back.

"Well don't! You'll only burn my kitchen! Don't go anywhere near the stove do you hear?" Himchan threatened.

There was a matter of silence as Youngjae and Daehyun exchanged looks upstairs. Then a bang was heard and soon after that Himchan and Zelo started arguing about cooking and how Zelo thought Himchan's beef stew tasted like rat poop and how Himchan knew that Zelo couldn't do any better.

"Boys." a voice boomed. "Behave or appa will ground you both." Yongguk couldn't hold back an amused grin as he read a comic book on the couch in the living room.

"Gukkie." Himchan spoke up, snatching an apron back from Zelo. "Since no one else can cook or clean after themselves, I'm more of your wife than your son. So I'm not going to do what you say."

Yongguk laughed. "Really? That's not what you said last night when we we-"

"Okay! Okay. I'll let Zelo cook with me." Himchan immediately gave up at that, mumbling incoherent words under his breath. "Just don't touch my coffee maker!"

Zelo gave a thumbs up at their leader whilst Youngjae and Daehyun had burst into laughter from the husband and wife argument.

"But...Daehyun?"

"Yeah?"

"Where's Jongup? Still with his family?"

"Mhm~" the older male mumbled back because he was so absorbed into his game. Right before he lost again, as always. He exploded into a little tantrum and hit his head onto the floor with a thud, which made Youngjae chuckle.

"Idiot." the young guy mumbled.

"Hey!" the older male rubbed his sore spot and picked up the console again. "Then I announce a challenge with you, Yoo Youngjae. I WILL defeat you!" Daehyun smiled warmly at him, reminding them of their past.

"Oh you're on." Youngjae grabbed a console and started the game.

From there, they played and played and reminded themselves of how games were the reason they became closer, 20 years ago when they first met.

"Jongup oppa!" Haru walked through the upstairs corridor, wondering where her older brother was.

Haru was now 14 years old. She was beautiful and clever. But she was worryingly spoilt because her family loved her too much. Nevertheless, she had a conscience.

"Yo!" she heard him in their parents' room. He was searching the cabinets and drawers for something.

"What are you looking for?"

"Dad needs another guitar pick. Have you seen one?"

"I've got one. I was using it to practice on my own guitar." she went to her room and Jongup followed her.  "Jongup oppa..." she called, finally getting the opportunity to talk to him after giving him the guitar pick.

"Yes?"

"Well you know my online friend? She said that you were an accident. What does that mean?"

Jongup's heart suddenly dropped. "Who said that?" this stranger was indirectly calling him a mistake to have been born.

"My friend..." she looked at him with conscious eyes, a hand running through the strands of her long hair. She felt nervous to ask him because it sounded like a bad thing.

"Don't listen to her. And don't use those words on me okay?" he instructed his little sister.

She only nodded. "Okay."

The fact that she innocently slurred that word at him still gave him goosebumps.

He just hoped she wouldn't bring it up again.

A few days and Youngjae was back at work again moving from city to city to catch this criminal. He was one of their top 10 most wanted in Korea, 6 already being caught and put away to prison. People were advised to stay at home or stay clear from dark and enclosed areas in case his group showed up. It wasn't just one guy creating a life-threatening mess. He had roots; other people who would join and associate with him in this crime.

"Stay at home and don't go out unless it's necessary." Youngjae warned Jongup over the phone who was still at his family's.

"Got it. Be careful out there hyung!" Jongup replied, hanging up after their goodbyes.

Jongup now felt a little awkward around Haru ever since that day. He didn't mean to be quiet and uncomfortable around his little sister but he couldn't help but think about what she said.

"Jongup oppa." she came out of her room. She had a canvas bag on and she looked as if she was going to go out. "Esmé wants me to meet her at the park. Can I go?"

"Is she the girl you've been talking to online that you were talking about a few days ago?" he was curious. He really hoped it wasn't her.

"...No. She isn't." Haru lied.

"I'm really sorry Haru. But with the chaos happening outside right now, I really can't let you go, no matter who it may be." he hated to break it to her. He would never disagree to something because he just wanted Haru to be happy. But it was proving to be more difficult than he expected.

"But that's not fair! Esmé's about to meet up with Hyoyoung and Mihyo right now!" she protested.

Jongup didn't know what to say. Because he once said that he trusted Hyoyoung and Mihyo because they were her two best friends. "I can't. I'm sorry. Not with what's happening out there. You heard what Youngjae said - don't go out unless you need to."

She wouldn't give up. "Esmé's not going to be in Korea for long. This is the only day where she can meet us, and then she's back in the US!"

"Lee Haru. You're not going. So stop shouting back in my face and do something to keep yourself busy. You don't understand that people are risking their lives out there..." he said the last part quietly, but just enough so she could hear. He had seen what it was like in the outer world - to experience poverty, loneliness, betrayal, danger and so much more. But she hadn't.

"Tch." she scoffed and mumbled something. Something that sounded familiar. That word.

Accident.

"What did you just call me?" Jongup was suddenly alarmed. He heard it. He heard what she said.

"You were once a criminal to-" she blurted out, before stopping herself abruptly.

"Wait. Are you comparing me to those people out there?" Jongup asked, hoping that what he was hearing wasn't true.

She folded her arms. "I'm not going to say that you're different from them."

Jongup felt his blood boil. It angered him so much that his head started to hurt. Did she finally understand what that phrase meant to him? Her 'friend' must have explained to her what she meant by calling him an accident. And it hit Jongup right in the heart. "You know what? Go out then. Because I'm no different from them am I? I'm just a criminal - a mistake to you and our parents."

She immediately felt guilty, and Jongup could see that. Yet, Jongup didn't back down. He felt so hurt that Haru would say such a thing. "I'm not your brother am I?" Jongup threw his hands up and turned his back to her, before walking away. "So just get out."

And with that, he heard a bang, and she was gone.

Jongup sighed in a frustrated manner. He would never get into arguments with Haru like this. But he couldn't help but get angry. Haru found out that Jongup was actually abandoned at birth not long ago. And she had accepted it. So it was so unusual for Haru to suddenly see her brother so differently now.

Jongup was crying on the inside even though he looked angry on the outside.

He once told himself and his parents that he would protect Haru, no matter what. He wanted to make her happy and make her feel loved. He wanted to make sure that she didn't suffer the same way he did.

But it was easier said than done. Especially when Haru was so stubborn and spoilt with her family's love.

" Why did you throw me away like garbage?"

Hello! ^-^ Just to let you readers know - at the end of every chapter I'm planning on leaving a line or so that is from the actual song of BAP's, Coma. In a way, it suits the title+plot well and also fits in with the heavy feelings in each chapter. Hope you guys look forward to it! Anyway, I just wanted to update today because it's Daehyun's birthday and their Coffee Shop MV release - which is simply too beautiful, for words to even describe. I would pour all my emotions out here but I know you readers will get bored of me keyboard smashing and flailing XD It's already the 29th in Korea, but it's still the 28th in England so it counts right? Righttt? ;) //slaps. Okay no I'm sorry xD
Anyway! Hope you enjoyed the first chapter! It's pretty scary in my opinion! D: But constructive criticism and feedback are always welcome!

This man is, can I say, just perfect. Happy birthday to you, you food-loving, high-note hitting, "no comment"-ing, pabo Jung Daehyun! XD
